We are looking for a new Regular and Mid-Value Giving Officer – someone who brings a passion for hospice care and wants to play a part in establishing an integrated individual giving programme at the Hospice of St Francis.

This is an exciting opportunity to grow the Friends of St Francis, the Hospice’s regular giving programme, develop and test creative new approaches to regular giving and optimise the programme for the digital age.

You will play a central role in growing and maintaining income across the Hospice and positioning us as the local charity of choice.

The opportunity......

You will play a central role in growing income across the Hospice and driving forward new, relationship-based approaches to fundraising.

With a focus on Major Donors and Trusts and Foundations you will personally identify, develop and manage relationships, with a focus on £5-25k+ opportunities.

 You will develop a new approach for managing and fundraising from small trusts and have the opportunity to learn and grow through working with the AD for Development on larger opportunities.

The Trustees of The Pixel Fund are excited to appoint the Fund’s first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to oversee the next stage of its growth and development following further generous bequests by the Trust’s settlors, and with planned increases in the level of future grant-making.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a dynamic individual who has the skills, experience and aptitude to work with the Trustees to refine and support delivery of The Pixel Fund’s overall vision and strategy, and to be the public face of the charity.The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the charity, currently carried out by a part-time administrator, which position is to be discontinued following the CEO appointment.

We are looking for an individual with experience of working in a leadership role with a board of Trustees, ideally with hands-on experience in grant-making and grant management, including managing a portfolio of live grant-holders.Strong financial and budgetary management skills are also desirable, in particular to reduce the Charity’s reliance on the Voluntary Treasurer.

The Trustees wish to appoint an individual who has a demonstrable understanding of, and commitment to, supporting the mental health and wellbeing of Children and Young People.The role will include upholding the charity’s vision, values and strategic focus, including championing equality, diversity and inclusion across our work.

The appointment is currently offered on a part-time basis of 3 days per week, with the potential to be extended in future.Candidates should note that The Pixel Fund does not have a permanent base and almost all activity is conducted online (including grant management). 

Hours and place of work are flexible, but as all Trustees are based in the South-East of England, that location is desirable. The successful applicant will be required to attend all Trustee meetings (around 7 a year), which are generally held in the evening (usually online, but occasionally in person) and some travel will be necessary to visit grant holders and other stakeholders.

The Pixel Fund (Charitable Incorporated Organisation No. 1191052) is a small charity that makes grants to support improvement in the mental health and wellbeing of Children and Young People.Since we were first established in 2011, we have distributed more than £1.5million to UK registered charities.We have a preference for supporting projects, but do also fund core costs.The work of the Trust, including all grant-making, is currently overseen by three experienced Trustees, together with a Voluntary Treasurer and a part-time Administrator.

In this role, you will be an integral member of the Events and Community Fundraising Team. You will work closely with a team of field-based colleagues providing support, ensuring the growth of income and development of long-term relationships with supporters.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the Community Fundraising team, with administration as well promoting fundraising products and campaigns, providing an inspiring supporter journey to our fundraisers, and handling and reporting on data.

Main tasks and responsibilities

1. Fundraising Support

· Check current platforms to collate daily registrations and assign to appropriate region

· Manage Facebook donation report through GivePanel

· Monitor Community Fundraising email inbox, contact supporters and fulfil fundraising pack requests

· Assist with the regional running portfolio and steward runners

· Answer and respond to enquiries on the fundraising hotline

· Assist the community fundraising team with admin, marketing, and stewardship

· Manage our offline fundraising materials through our fulfilment partner, ordering replacement materials when needed

The King's Trust is currently going through an exciting period of development. We have ambitions to grow our offer to young people by providing a blended approach of face-to-face and digital delivery and support. This role will involve leading a small team of delivery staff working to support young people in the East Midlands. Volunteers are the backbone of our operation at FareShare South West (FSSW). We have over 350 volunteers from a myriad of backgrounds, who make up 90% of our team. The volunteers help with every aspect of the operation, from driving vans, picking orders, to administrative duties. FSSW has built a successful volunteer programme which supports a wide demographic of people and multiple motivations for volunteering. This role will take a lead on all aspects of recruitment, retention, and development of our volunteer programme during this exciting time in the charity as we expand. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Volunteer Recruitment  

• Work with the Communications and Volunteering teams to actively promote the volunteer programme across Bristol

• Work with the wider FSSW team to support and develop volunteering opportunities for corporate supporters and food partners; taking a lead in the delivery of corporate volunteering events 

• Use and improve on existing processes to manage recruitment from initial enquiry through to successful onboarding of prospective volunteers and partners  

• Develop outreach activities to increase diversity, social impact, and community engagement

Main Responsibilities:
The HR Assistant will work closely with line manager as part of the HR team to provide effective administrative and operational support across all HR functions. The role will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day activities of the HR department, ensuring smooth operations, accurate record keeping, and timely delivery of HR services, while progressively taking ownership of routine administrative and coordination tasks to maintain high standards within the department.

Reporting into the Head of Major Gifts, you will be responsible for leading on grant applications from trusts and other grant giving organisations. The grants will often be in the five to six figure range, and will be for a wide variety of activities, including bursaries, the Fonteyn International Ballet Competition, local and national learning and participation projects, and more. You will also be building on existing relationships with grant-giving organisations and help plan fundraising with the Head of Major Gifts and the Director of Fundraising and Development.

As a Trusts and Grants Manager you will:

• have experience in trusts and grants fundraising

ISEAL is offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive and well-organised individual looking to start a career in the sustainability sector. The role works across two important organisational areas, gaining valuable exposure to ISEAL’s approach to catalysing global efforts to advance on critical social and economic sustainability issues. If you are looking to apply your existing administration and/or customer service skills in sustainability and gain experience across a range of activities, this position will provide you with some excellent insights and networks that will benefit your progress. 

The Assistant will play a key role in ISEAL´s team, providing assistance to two managers to ensure efficient administration of their respective work areas - membership and operations. In the operations team, the successful candidate will get involved in the processes of running an international not for profit organisation, while also supporting the membership team in high quality member communications and data management.

To be considered for this role, you will need to be well-organised with great attention to detail and an excellent ability to follow up agreed tasks. Working efficiently and reliably under direction, you have a friendly and professional demeanour and are comfortable in your communications and interactions with colleagues and external stakeholders. You enjoy working on a varied and changing set of tasks to support the implementation of a project or a collaborative group process.  You have a natural aptitude with IT systems and data and enjoy helping others get the most out of them. Having worked on data analysis before would be a real bonus.

Please note that to fulfil the operations support tasks effectively, the postholder will be required to be present in the office on at least 2 days per week.

The key responsibilities we entrust you with

Operations Support

• Guide and assist ISEAL staff in using software tools effectively by leading inductions, writing guidance, sharing best practice, providing training and trouble-shooting issues that arise
• Manage IT equipment and liaise with external IT support
• Facilitate internal communications by supporting regular and ad hoc staff meetings
• Work closely with Senior Manager Operations on improvement projects, including leading smaller projects
• Assist in promoting best practice in use of IT, communications and knowledge management systems across the organisation and suggest and help implement improvements
• Support management of ISEAL’s office space in London, including liaising with landlord and ensuring office works well for staff
• Lead on procurement of items needed for smooth running of office, for staff leading events and equipment for staff home offices
• Participate actively in team and organisational planning and activities
• Participate in internal staff management processes such as performance reviews, supervisory meetings, etc.

Member communications

• Gather and prepare content for member mailings, including our monthly member-only newsletter, the ISEAL Insider
• Maintain the internal Mailchimp schedule, liaising with staff in the Communications team to plan and schedule mailings effectively
• Support other ISEAL teams to communicate appropriately with members through our different channels and mailing lists, checking for adherence to brand guidelines
• Support the Membership Coordinator and Membership Manager with drafting blogs, news items, and group posts to share updates with members via the ISEAL Platform
• With the Membership Coordinator, regularly review content on the ISEAL Platform to ensure it remains accurate and up to date, liaising with other teams where necessary

Monitoring our membership programme

• Regularly collect data to help monitor our member communications, engagement with member-only events, and use of the ISEAL Platform
• Create and update quarterly reports and dashboards to help identify and communicate key trends and inform improvements
• Support the Membership Manager with the preparation of quarterly and annual engagement reports to send to members
• Deliver administrative processes that underpin member relationship management and track member engagement, including maintenance of member records within Salesforce

Other

• Provide occasional support for member-only Zoom webinars and at in-person events
• Be a collaborative and effective member of both the Membership and Operations teams, liaising with colleagues at all levels across the organisation where needed
• Support the Membership Manager and Membership Coordinator on member engagement projects

Experience, Knowledge and Attributes

• Experience working or interning in a support/administrative or customer service/communications role, ideally in international NGO, professional or membership organisation
• Enthusiasm for using data to drive customer engagement and aptitude for working with data, ideally some experience in extracting and working with analytical information
• Good organisational and time management and ability to organise multiple simultaneous tasks efficiently and establish priorities
• Ability to communicate confidently and sensitively with a diverse global community
• Proficient written and spoken English
• Proficient IT skills, familiarity with virtual meeting tools (e.g. Teams, Zoom, etc.) and the use of contact management databases (e.g. Salesforce) and MS Office (especially Excel), as well as a demonstrable willingness to learn new tools and systems

As a key member of the programmes team, the post holder will be responsible for planning and implementing a portfolio of impactful programmes across Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe using sport as a development tool for social change.

They will be responsible for managing a diverse sport for development portfolio, providing high level programme support, financial oversight, monitoring and evaluation technical expertise and capacity building support to our global implementing partners. This role will involve working closely with the Senior Programmes and Grants Managers, aiming always to ensure Sport for Good makes progress towards its Vision. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To develop and manage a caseload of grants, including institutional and internal grants. This includes assessing competencies of organisations and developing organisational plans with grantees
• To support the ongoing development of grantees through capacity building, and providing networking opportunities
• To support the Sport for Good Development Team in their applications to institutional funders, trusts and foundations, providing input and advice as requested
• To ensure grant-management requirements for Sport for Good and external funding are met successfully
• To work closely with grantees responsibly to source narratives of individual and community transformation to support development of donor relationships and communication 
• To provide good customer care to grantees, maintaining regular but appropriate contact and safeguarding their interests
• To undertake monitoring trips, conducting site assessments to international and UK based projects
• To source new, innovative projects in line with Sport for Good’s funding criteria
• To assist in raising the standards of child protection within Sport for Good’s portfolio
• To update the database and to analyse data from reports and write up recommendations for senior management and/or board consideration

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience from working in a charity or foundation with focus on international development
• Experience of submitting successful funding proposals to institutional donors and trusts and foundations
• Strong track record of successful management of all reporting requirements associated with grants received from third parties
• Good project management skills, with experience delivering or grant-managing projects internationally; able to work on multiple tasks and to prioritise these to meet deadlines
• Affinity to sport, understanding of sport as a power for development 
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on own initiative
• Basic budgeting and financial management experience, able to understand the link between finance and operations
• Ability to work cross-organisationally with multiple stakeholders in the realisation of shared goals
• Confident communicator and convenor, particularly in  written reports, external communications, presentations and with people whose first language is not English
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships to achieve objectives with international partners
• Written and oral fluency in English is required
• Fluency in a second language (in addition to English) is required, preferrably French
