You'll build on recent successful award-winning partnerships with Marsh McLennan, TalkTalk and our highly successful Employ Autism programme, leading the team to secure and deliver new corporate partnerships. You'll oversee the delivery of corporate partnerships, producing and executing a strategy for growth, whilst ensuring our delivery plans are achievable.
You'll oversee new business activity, playing a leading role in high value solicitations to secure new corporate partnerships that deliver both strategic and cash value. You'll manage the corporate partnerships team to achieve the overall strategy, monitoring performance against clear objectives.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience of securing high-value, strategic corporate partnerships that deliver commercial value to companies.
- Proven experience of developing and implementing annual strategies and plans.
- An understanding of trends and developments across the commercial sector and experience of applying these to successful corporate partnerships.

About you and the role
The purpose of this role is to manage operational delivery of our School Chef Educator programme, ensuring efficient and effective delivery. The School Chef Educator programme is a 10 week training programme for school kitchen staff, covering topics such as Reducing Food Waste, and Food Education. It is delivered in a blended learning format, through a mix of in-person training, bitesize webinars, and our online learning website.
You will be supported by our Director of Transformations, and manage our Chef Trainers who deliver our School Chef Educator Programme. You will work closely with the Director of Partnerships & Impact, our School Engagement Manager and our Research Supervisor, to identify and liaise with suitable funding partners, academies and schools, and ensure we are monitoring and evaluating our programme delivery to evidence it’s impact and ensure quality delivery across the cohorts that take part.
Your role will oversee our School Chef Educator Programmes, delivered across England. This role will be primarily focused in London, but will include supporting schools in locations across the UK as we develop new hubs. An average week in this role might see you attending meetings with new partners to secure support for new programmes, sourcing venues for training days, scheduling programme delivery dates, identifying and contacting schools in our programme delivery areas to sign up their kitchen teams to our programme, developing new content on our learning management system, attending webinars our Chef Trainers are delivering, and supporting Chef Trainers with our in-person kick off sessions, and graduation celebrations.

Key responsibilities:
● To work with the Director of Transformations to ensure that all programme delivery is delivered in line with our vision, values and ethos.
● To support and manage our Chef Trainers to ensure a high quality and consistent standard of programme delivery.
● Coordinate and oversee all programme activities, including booking venues, scheduling, logistics, and managing Chef Trainer workload.
● Work closely with the Director of Transformations, Director of Impact and Partnerships and the School Engagement Manager to assess, cost and propose suitable programmes of support for schools, multi-academy trusts and caterers interested in our School Chef Educator Programme.
● Working with the School Engagement Manager, attend and contribute to meetings with Senior Leadership of prospective participating schools and academies.
● Liaise and manage relationships with Senior Leadership and Programme Sponsors, being the key contact for operational delivery of programmes.
● To work alongside the Director of Transformations and Director of Partnerships & Impact to ensure that service level agreements are agreed with partners and that our delivery matches the agreements.
● To monitor costs of the programme delivery, reporting progress of programmes to the Director of Transformations, identifying any risks or delays to programme delivery.
● At all times to ensure that our training programmes are being delivered in a legally compliant, cost-effective way.
● Working with the School Engagement Manager, to identify suitable schools for our funded training programmes, ensuring a high uptake of available places on our funded training programmes.
● Ensuring learning and evaluation is embedded in our programme delivery, working with the Chef Trainers to document best practice learnt from each programme.
● To work alongside the Director of Partnerships & Impact and our Research Supervisor to ensure that we’re collecting accurate and relevant data to measure our impact, evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the programmes, conducting regular assessments and measurements.
● Work with the Research Supervisor to support preparing reports on the impact of the School Chef Educator programmes, including statistical data, trends, and success stories.
● Maintain accurate data records and ensure our contacts database is up to date with relevant participant, partner and engagement information.
● Collaborate with the Chef Trainers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of participants on our programmes.
● Overseeing project planning and execution for the continued expansion of the roll-out of the School Chef Educator training programme - this will involve being organised and keeping the project on track, working with internal and external parties.
● Assist in the delivery of programmes where necessary, providing support and guidance to the Chef Trainers as needed.
● Working with the Chief Innovation Officer, the Chef Trainers across all our programmes and the wider Chefs in Schools network to identify current and future skills requirements for the school kitchen workforce.
● Developing and/or commission relevant training materials to keep our programme up to date and develop new programmes that complement our organisational strategy.
● Plan, and manage the continued iterative development of our School Chef Training programme. Lead on programme design, monitoring performance and adjusting our approach as necessary for future cohorts.
● Line manage the Chef Trainers, lead on hiring, training and managing any future staff required as our programme offering grows.
● Maintain and manage our Learning Management System, and Learning App, ensuring good version control, user management, and digital legal compliance.

As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate FoodCycle meals for your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run their own community meals using surplus food. You will continually be looking to increase our impact by working towards targets of increased meals served to our guests, expanding our existing Projects and setting up new ones within East Midlands.

The role has two distinct areas of responsibility:

Office Administration and logistical support (70%)

ShareAction’s Banking Standards team seeks to work with stakeholders such as banks, investors, and NGOs to make sure the banking industry take responsibility for their impact on people and planet. We have a history of campaigning on key aspects of banks’ climate strategies – such as their emission reduction targets or their fossil fuel policies – and we are gradually expanding our campaigning, research, and engagement work to other sustainability themes and banking regulation.
Position
What you’ll do (key responsibilities)
The Research Intern will primarily support the Senior Research Manager in updating, maintaining, and further developing a database tracking climate-related commitments made by the largest European banks. The commitments that we currently track include banks’ fossil fuel policies and emission reduction targets. The banking tracker is a critical source of information with multiple use cases: data collection for the banking survey and other research reports, engagement with banks and investors, and ability to respond quickly to announcements and media queries. The banking tracker was initially developed in 2021 to address specific research-related needs but has rapidly grown in size, in line with the scope of our banking research. Its use cases have also evolved in line with campaigning activities, and researchers aim to update it on an ongoing basis (e.g. when a bank makes a new commitment). Maintaining the database mobilises significant resources and further developments are needed to unlock the intended efficiencies and economies of scale across various use cases. The database is currently hosted in Excel and we are exploring alternative database management systems. The Research Intern will primarily support this effort during a 12-month internship.
In close collaboration with banking researchers, the Research Intern will contribute to the following tasks:
- Streamlining the structure of our internalbanking tracker (currently in Excel) and data collection process to ensure updates are made in a consistent manner across banks and themes (e.g. decarbonisation targets, sector policies such as fossil fuel policies).
- Developing our banking tracker to include new research themes (e.g. green finance targets).
- Integrating our banking tracker into the research process for banking surveys, ensuring that data can feed into survey questionnaires and scoring sheets.
- Strengthening the environment and infrastructure of the database to address performance issues and minimise operational errors.
- Reviewing banks’ sustainability disclosures and updating the banking tracker accordingly.
We are keen for the Research Intern to get exposure to all areas of ShareAction’s banks workstream. Depending on the team needs, the intern might be asked to:
- Support the Senior Campaigns Officer review resolutions paperwork.
- Contribute to the development of research positions that will inform the contents of our next banking survey and the more systematic consideration of climate justice concerns into our work.

About the role:
The HALO Trust has more than doubled in size over the last eight years by growing support from both Governments and philanthropic donors. Global income from philanthropic donors (including the US) has significantly increased over the past five years – from circa £4 million to £15 million in 2022/23 and reaching a further peak of £44 million in 2023/24 in response to exceptional donor support for Ukraine. About the Role:
As our Director of Operations you will play an integral role in shaping and building this new initiative, creating its governance and processes, supporting its transition from start-up to implementation and in putting it on the path to independence. The RWA currently has 11 staff, based in 6 countries, and we have plans to build the team to around 18-20 over the next couple of years, to extend our delivery from 2 countries (currently Nigeria and Bangladesh) to 6, and to secure additional financing to complement the investment we have secured from the UK Government.
This is an exciting time to join the RWA as we move from our early inception phase to implementation and delivery. We are looking for someone who wants to help us shape and build the RWA in this next phase of work. In this role, you will create and lead the business operations for the team, making sure the RWA is able to deliver its full potential.
The role will include the following responsibilities:
- Business planning: lead work on annual business planning and the development of a 5 year plan, bringing in others in the team and externally to support this work and ensure buy-in. The plan will need to show how the RWA is delivering on funders' objectives as well as demonstrating how the RWA will work with new partners and expand and consolidate its operations, funding and impacts.
- Financial oversight: manage financial activities to ensure the strong performance of the RWA, including regular financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting. The Director will manage the organisation's grant awards, reporting, accounts/audits and contracts with partner organisations, including procurement. They will support the CEO and others on fundraising, and will advise teams (including those in country) on budget availability to inform activities. They will need to work with WaterAid teams on all of these areas, and ensure compliance with WaterAid policies.
- Transition to independence: work with the CEO on plans for the RWA's independence from WaterAid, setting out and analysing options and making recommendations on structure, policies, governance, financing and timing, and overseeing the smooth transition from incubation within WaterAid to RWA being an independent not-for-profit organisation. The Director will need to consider legal, financial, governance, reputational, HR and other elements, seeking relevant external advice to ensure that the transition works for both the RWA and WaterAid. They will also advise on the creation of a Board and Advisory panel, and other relevant structures and relationships.
- Programme and project management: build out programme and project management for the RWA at both a global and country level, including internal reporting, updates and management of team's resources, and risks. Provide frameworks for effective decision-making and information management - including stakeholder databases; monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL); and knowledge management.
- Operational delivery: the Director will oversee the day-to-day internal operational activity of the RWA, and will need to deputise for the CEO in internal and external meetings. This will include shaping engagement with the current Steering Committee, setting team meeting agendas and preparing papers; overseeing recruitment; ensuring reporting to partners is delivered to time and quality; keeping track of contracts; overseeing due diligence; and working with Legal teams on core documentation such as contracts, NDAs and MOUs.

A truly inspiring place to work, Young Roots partners with young refugees and asylum seekers aged 11-25 (mostly alone in the UK without their families) to improve their wellbeing and fulfil their potential. With a dedicated team providing life-changing services including intense one-to-one casework, English language mentoring, and access to specialist therapeutic and legal advice, Young Roots are proudly celebrating their 20th anniversary.
Using their years of frontline work and deep understanding of the challenges faced by young refugees and asylum seekers, Young Roots are now focusing on campaigning and influencing policy to bring about positive change. The Head of Finance and Operations will support significant growth and associated transformation of their Finance and Operations to underpin their ability to provide these vital services to support young refugee’s increasingly complex needs.
Reporting to the CEO and leading a team of 3, the Head of Finance and Internal Operations is a critical leadership role providing advice and analysis to the Board and its Committees. This role will drive the vision and direction of Young Roots as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and will set the strategy for Finance, HR, IT and Facilities. This role offers a rare opportunity to contribute at a big-picture strategic level, whilst maintaining the ability to manage their finances in a hands-on way for a genuinely amazing charity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: As part of the Senior Leadership Team, support the CEO to develop, implement, and drive the vision and strategy for Young Roots; Develop and lead a first-class Finance and Operations Team; Support the SLT in its decision-making by providing expert analysis across finance, governance, HR, IT, risk, and facilities perspectives.
- Finance & Planning: Provide robust financial governance and long-term financial planning; Lead financial reporting, production of management accounts, budgeting, reforecasting, and cashflow monitoring; Partner with Head of Fundraising and the SLT to ensure income generation and fundraising strategy is fit-for-purpose; Ensure statutory responsibilities are delivered in compliance to charity SORP; Lead the audit process; Ensure finance systems and controls are fit-for-purpose; Manage all contracts, ensuring services and bids are valued robustly and reflect ROI; Manage payroll; Ensure funding partners receive insightful financial reporting.
- HR: With the CEO and HR Manager, develop and implement a DEI and Wellbeing strategy; Ensure HR policies and procedures are fit-for-purpose, including ER, recruitment, and H&S.
- IT: With IT Consultant, develop and lead the implementation of IT and Digital Transformation strategy; Ensure database and day-to-day IT support is in place; Act as Data Officer.
- Premises: Oversee facilities function; Lead on lease and building issues; Support CEO, SLT, and Trustees with premises options and represent Young Roots with landlord and agent; Ensure all facilities including IT, office space, and utilities are fit-for-purpose and compliant.
What you’ll offer us:
- Qualified Accountant. Track-record of providing financial information, annual reports & accounts to Senior Leaders, Board and Trustees within the charity sector
- Hands-on and strategic. Ability to think strategically about the future director of the charity and translate that vision into a financial strategy and operational plans and changes. Ability to communicating effectively to Trustees and operations staff
- Ambition. Young Roots are open to someone stepping into their first SLT role.
- Leadership. Ability to contribute to a values-based and ambitious culture and experience motivating, and empowering staff
- Charity Expert. Strong knowledge of SORP, and expertise in restricted fund accounting.
- Audit leadership
- Desire to oversee HR, Facilities, and IT functions.
- First-class collaboration, time-management, and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously with strategic guidance from the CEO
- Ability to visit the King's Cross and Brent offices / activities on a monthly basis and a monthly all-staff away day in central London.
- Ability to attend Saturday morning Board meetings 6 times per year.
