The Role
As Team Leader (Outreach Services) you will be in a crucial role, responsible for the delivery of a pre-trial Outreach Support Service to Vulnerable and Intimidated Witnesses in a defined geographical area.

You will manage, motivate and develop a team of volunteers who support vulnerable witnesses in their journey through the criminal justice system.

You will also develop and maintain key local stakeholder relationships with a view to enhancing partnership working, and service delivery standards and effectiveness.

Triage and Early Intervention Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Triage and Early Interventions Officer to join the Operations team on a hybrid basis working from home and the base at Police Headquarters, Llangunnor, Carmarthen.

The Role

As a Triage and Early Intervention Officer, you will be the first point of contact via telephone, text or email for clients referred to the service. You will conduct comprehensive impact and risk assessments, provide immediate and short-term interventions, and ensure that each client receives tailored support that meets their individual needs.

As a Triage and Early Interventions Officer you will:

• Conduct comprehensive impact and risk assessments for clients.
• Provide tailored responses to clients' needs, including children and young people and those affected by domestic abuse, ensuring they are aware of their rights.
• Manage a caseload of clients requiring immediate and short-term interventions, developing support plans and referring to other agencies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records.
• Work as part of a team and collaborate with statutory and voluntary agencies to address clients' needs.

About You

Ideally you will have an understanding of the impact of crime and the criminal justice system. Experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting is also beneficial.

You will need:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Competent IT skills, able to use generic systems.
• To work effectively both as part of a team and independently
• To develop and maintain partnerships with external organisations.
• The ability to undertake impact and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of safeguarding issues and legislation related to child protection and vulnerable adults.

Job Title: Arts and Learning Strategic Lead

Location: Based at our head office in Islington, London (10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station) with cross working in various prisons across England, Community sites, and home working

Salary: £47,000 (Full time equivalent)

About the role

This is a brand new role, supporting the Head of Safe Ground with the strategic oversight and delivery of our programmes. Safe Ground has been at the forefront of designing and delivering innovative arts-based, therapeutically informed interventions within the criminal justice system and in communities across the UK. As we approach our 30th anniversary this year, we remain dedicated to challenging systematic injustice through the programmes we run and the partnerships we build. This role is a great opportunity to be part of our transformative goals, in being part of creating systematic change.

Using theatre arts, and culture, we design initiatives to support those impacted by the criminal justice system in gaining deeper insights into themselves, their relationships and their behaviours. We do this by equipping our participants with practical tools and building a community who are open to doing things differently. In this role, you will develop best practice around creative interventions, building powerful partnerships with commissioners, partners, and other key stakeholders, ensuring our programmes are being delivered to the highest standards. You will lead on the development of new and existing arts-based work, identifying gaps and opportunities for growth within the sector.

• Oversee the development of new creative ideas and programmes as well as programme adaptations and redesigns. Ideas could be linked to theatre productions in and out of custodial settings, short films, live events, symposiums, but may also include new art forms and working with new artists
• Development of a local / national facilitator network
• Create and deliver engaging high-quality programmes which support rehabilitation and reintegration for participants
• Design and deliver innovation arts-based high quality training and quality assurance support to management and delivery teams across the SIG network - focusing specifically on relationships, culture and communication, conflict resolution, storytelling, power-sharing and co-production
• Lead on the development of creative ideas for Safe Grounds 30th anniversary, including; relationship building and partnership development, advocacy and networking, idea development - radio / stage / film etc
• Provide high quality peer-mentoring spaces, leadership, and line management to staff, offering guidance, support, and advice to the team to support them to perform to the best of their abilities. About you

• Previous experience in working and engaging with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
• Previous experience in developing, producing, and/or performing professional productions for example film, television, or theatre productions
• Proven experience in designing innovative arts-based programmes and extensive experience of facilitation of programmes and/or training for various groups
• A theoretical understanding of co-production models and practical application of building them and embedding them into best practice
• Previous experience and/or ability to people manage and develop a team
• Ability to create, develop, and deliver new programmes and/or creative content in various settings such as prisons, communities, and wider criminal justice settings

We are looking to recruit HOPELINE247 Advisers to provide individually tailored suicide prevention advice and guidance to young people and those who are concerned for them via our national multi-channel helpline HOPELINE247 and deliver suicide prevention training online and in community settings across the UK.

What you will do:

· Work as part of a team providing suicide prevention support to a range of clients via multichannel communication platforms.

· Work on a 7-day shift system

· Use professional judgement to assess the needs of the service users who present with risk to life and manage and report any matters related to safeguarding. 

· Maintain accurate records and input data monitoring into the data base system.

· Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practise. 

· Provide training, mentoring and coaching to new recruits.

To be successful in this role you will have:

· a degree or professional qualification in Health or Social Care, Community Work or a related discipline

· previous experience of working in an advisory capacity in suicide prevention or mental health

· a proven record of working directly with vulnerable young people

· experience of providing advice and guidance via multiple communication channels

· the ability to empathise, support and build rapport with suicidal people and those who care about them, remaining non-judgemental and adhering to the remit of the service

Salary: £31,454 per annum (Scale point 24) progressing by increments to £34,776 per annum (Scale point 28) As a night shift worker, you will receive an additional allowance of £173.00 per month based on working 4 nights per week.

Hours:  33 hours per week

Working arrangements:  This role will work shifts starting at 10:25pm and finishing at 7:40am. Shifts will be on a rota bases across a 7-day working week.  33 hours will be based upon working 4 nights shifts per week.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Digital Developer, the Full-stack Developer will help to make a mark on the transformation and future proofing of all Association websites and microsites whilst helping the development/digital marketing team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Combining solid LAMP stack experience with strong skills in HTML, JavaScript and pre-processed CSS and a proven working knowledge of Drupal 9/10 to build accessible and high performing responsive website solutions
• Working in an agile environment, both independently and with other team members, from tickets created in the Jira project management system by a range of internal clients across the charity
• A willingness to switch between the back and front end development aspects of the role depending on the requirement of each given task
• Offering solutions to problems and improvements to the quality of the Drupal development environment
• Creating and executing accessible, responsive web solutions while adhering to existing brand design requirements
• Ensuring that best practices are followed for both back and front end performance
• Writing high standard, clean code to best current practices using version control (Git)

About You

You will have/be:

• Solid LAMP stack experience
• Strong skills in HTML, JavaScript and pre-processed CSS, preferably SASS
• Experience of in working in a mobile first development environment
• A working knowledge of Drupal 8-10 and its core and main contributed modules
• Fully conversant with version control, preferably Git

We are looking to recruit HOPELINE247 Advisers to provide individually tailored suicide prevention advice and guidance to young people and those who are concerned for them via our national multi-channel helpline HOPELINE247 and deliver suicide prevention training online and in community settings across the UK.

What you will do:

· Work as part of a team providing suicide prevention support to a range of clients via multichannel communication platforms.

· Work on a 7-day shift system including evening and weekends

· Use professional judgement to assess the needs of the service users who present with risk to life and manage and report any matters related to safeguarding. 

· Maintain accurate records and input data monitoring into the data base system.

· Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practise. 

· Provide training, mentoring and coaching to new recruits.

To be successful in this role you will have:

· a degree or professional qualification in Health or Social Care, Community Work or a related discipline

· previous experience of working in an advisory capacity in suicide prevention or mental health

· a proven record of working directly with vulnerable young people

· experience of providing advice and guidance via multiple communication channels

· the ability to empathise, support and build rapport with suicidal people and those who care about them, remaining non-judgemental and adhering to the remit of the service

Salary: SCP 24-28 (Starting salary of £28,595 per annum based on working 30 hours per week progressing incrementally to £31,615 per annum)

Hours:  30 hours per week, Shifts will be on a rota bases across a 7-day working week.  30 hours will be based upon working 4 shifts per week.

JOB PURPOSE:

• To lead on the development of a healthy childhood programme for children and young people living in Sparkhill.
• To provide a range of activities for children, young people and their families which promote physical exercise and healthy eating.
• To promote the referral uptake from a range of services including the School Nurse Service, Family Hubs and GP practices.
• To monitor individual lifestyle assessments and to maintain an overview of the individual’s journey, including attendance, improvement of their lifestyle indicators etc. and capture case studies.
