About the Role

We are now recruiting for a talented Services Manager to manage a team of project/case workers providing individual advice, specialist support and advocacy to Black and minoritised migrant women, overseeing all aspects of our needs-led casework as well as the delivery of our women’s centre activities, as required.

The post holder will work collaboratively with our Director of Services and Operations (DSO) and other Service Managers in the development of an annual service plan, tailoring this to meet the needs of the team and ensure all funder requirements are met.

This role will provide comprehensive team management and support, effectively managing performance and providing trauma informed mentoring to the team. The Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing referrals to Hibiscus’ services internally and externally, working closely with the teams to ensure prioritisation of Black and racially minoritised women. The postholder will be responsible for responding to service user feedback, complaints and safeguarding concerns using a trauma-informed approach. This will inform the development and improvement of policies and processes for managing service user casework.

The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring that their team maintains accurate data and records to ensure effective service user support, monitoring, reporting and evaluation. As part of this monitoring and evaluation work, the Services Manager will play a key role in improving data recording and reporting. The post holder will be responsible for the financial management of their projects, including service contract budgets and the monitoring of team expenditure. Clear communication and a commitment to professional learning and development are key aspects of this role.

About you

We are particularly keen to attract talent from Black and minoritised communities and those with lived experience of immigration, the criminal justice systems, and/or violence against women and girls.

The successful candidate will have significant experience providing casework support to migrant and/or Black and minoritised women with a range of complex needs. They will have line management experience, including effective staff supervision and development, supporting the staff team to effectively deliver team workplans to deadlines and achieve performance targets.

The candidate will have experience maintaining and developing effective working relationships with partner agencies and delivering services in line with funder contracts and contributing to funder reports. They will have an understanding and experience of delivering services in a trauma-informed, anti-racist and empowering manner from a feminist, intersectional perspective and will demonstrate knowledge of the needs of Black and minoritised migrant women who have been involved in the criminal justice system, are affected by immigration restrictions, violence against women and survivors of human trafficking

They will be able to to identify issues across teams and provide positive, effective solutions to support overall delivery of the work, demonstrating leadership whilst working effectively as part of a team. The candidate will be confident in their ability to maintain personal and professional boundaries, and have a clear understanding and demonstrable experience of managing safeguarding issues in line with policies and procedures.

The candidate will also have an understanding of one of more of Hibiscus’ key work areas – criminal justice, immigration and migrants’ rights, racial justice, and/or violence against women and girls and gender justice.

About the role:

Respect is seeking two Helplines Team Leaders. You will be the main point of contact for the team of Advisors and provide line management support along with other focused meetings that guide their work with service users.

You will manage concerns raised by Advisors and make decisions on safety actions, and deal with complaints. You will oversee the implementation of a rota system that maximises resource capacity at peak call times to meet high demands. Work collaboratively with partner agencies that deliver programmes of support for both male victims and perpetrators, and set up signposting and referral processes that supports our work.

About you:

• At least two years’ experience of working on complex cases in a multi-agency environment and working with other professionals/agency to manage risk and safeguard vulnerable adults and children 
• An understanding of the root causes of domestic abuse, both individually and societal, and its effects on victims, in particular male victims 
• An understanding of the help-seeking barriers for male victims of domestic abuse 
• Ability to lead a team using motivational strategies that inspire and create a positive working atmosphere
• A commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and an approach that centres survivors, in particular Black and minoritised survivors.

About the role

This is an exciting and varied role will be providing a key role in developing and increasing income, donor acquisition and engagement across SSCH’s Individual Giving fundraising programme, including legacies. The post will work to maximise potential and develop both new and existing donors, through targeted donor development campaigns, supporter acquisition and retention programmes.

The post holder will work flexibly across the Individual Giving income streams including individual donations, campaigns, gifts in memory and legacies. As part of this, a key responsibility will be the relationship management and support to any of our supported families who choose to fundraise for SSCH. This role will also support with legacy administration.

The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience within a fundraising or comparable role. Ideally the candidate will have some legacy administration experience.

Role Overview

As a member of the Joint Leadership Team, the post-holder will contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet the charity’s strategic objectives. Specifically, they will lead projects and programmes to deliver improvements in quality and standards of health services for people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis. In doing so, they will work closely with not only the  Director of Services & Evidence and Heald of Health Services, but also external stakeholders including health and social care organisations, academics, researchers and other charities.  The post-holder will also be actively involved in leading, supporting and developing the Health Services team.

About You

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of delivering health service projects and programmes and have come from a health services or medical charity background. You will be adept at developing operational performance metrics, strategies and objectives and have a proven track record in developing strong working relationships with external stakeholders. Whilst not essential, experience of managing and leading a team would be beneficial, as would be an awareness and knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis.

Our Location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home,  although there will be times when you will need to travel to events/conferences. You will be required to attend two Directorate days each year and occasional face-to-face meetings with your team or our partner agencies. In addition, the charity meets four times annually at its office in Hatfield (or a location in London) for its’ ‘All Staff Together’ days, at which attendance is mandatory.

They will nurture and uplift existing major donor relationships while identifying and securing the support of new major donors. Farm Cornwall Trustees are seeking applications for the post of Charity Manager.

This is an exciting new role with an expansive remit ranging from dealing with calls and administration on one hand to strategic initiatives including the sourcing of funding; developing the new website and social media to reflect the new ambitions and activities of the charity and the creation of effective databases to evidence the impact of the charity on farming beneficiaries. This role is both ‘hands-on’ and strategic enabling the successful candidate to put their stamp and personality as the ‘backbone’ of the charity on its future development.

This is neither an administrative role nor a strategic role but a unique one which encompasses activities across that spectrum and involves both of these skills.

Decent, secure, and affordable homes are getting harder to come by, and there is widespread recognition and acceptance now that London needs more affordable homes, with The Government, The Mayor of London and the London boroughs rightly prioritising affordable housing.

What remains is a gulf between those who are attempting to deliver affordable housing and the communities that need these homes. This is the gap that London CLT successfully bridges, working with local people to create genuinely and permanently affordable homes and community spaces, putting Londoners back in charge of how their neighbourhoods positively develop.

Proud to be at the forefront of the Community Land Trust (CLT) movement, we were the first CLT in the capital to sell homes, starting with our flagship project at St Clements in Tower Hamlets with 23 homes, and then continuing with our first direct development at Citizens House in Lewisham with 11 homes. We also currently have projects across 6 London boroughs, with 34 homes built to date and a pipeline of 100+ new homes in development.

Our expectations for this new role are high.

We are looking for an individual who will ensure that the effective day-to-day operations and communications of London CLT run smoothly. Providing vital support across administration, governance, HR and project delivery, acting as a central point of contact for London CLT and taking ownership of our communications strategy, developing an annual communications plan and producing well-targeted, engaging content and communications for members and other priority audiences.

You will bring strong experience in operations, office management, administration and communications, ideally in the non-profit or social enterprise sector, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and feel confident with IT and Office systems.

It would also be helpful and advantageous if you have experience working with community-led organisations, an understanding of social justice and community development principles or bring lived experience of housing challenges or connection to communities affected by the housing crisis.

Scotty’s Little Soldiers is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting military children and young people (0 to 25 years) who have experienced the death of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. Founded in 2010 by Nikki Scott following the death of her husband, Corporal Lee Scott, the charity offers a unique blend of emotional, practical, and educational support to over 700 young people, and we have big ambitions to support over 1,000 children annually by 2030.

Role Mission:

To be at the heart of planning, promoting and delivering diverse, exciting, and high-impact events that will engage supporters, create bonding opportunities for families, and connect our team.

This role will be accountable for:

Supporting the event owner in the successful planning and execution of all events across the charity, including the Families, Supporter and Operations Teams at Scotty's. This will include developing, promoting and delivering a range of events that align with our mission and values, drives supporter engagement, cultivates opportunities for our families to bond, and provides team collaboration.

What are the 3-month goals for this role:

· Can articulate the charity’s goals, culture, and impact, and how the Events Manager role supports this to happen. 

· Has a good understanding of the events plans for each team and the upcoming and year to view calendar of events.

· Establish initial contact with key stakeholders, including team members, partners, and supporters.

What are the 6-month goals for this role:

· Conduct an audit of current event plans and materials and speak with at current partners for feedback and learnings.

· Develop a comprehensive event strategy, outlining key tactics, timelines, and performance metrics.

· Identify and qualify suitable venues for upcoming events, ensuring they align with the charity's mission and values

· Establish success measures and key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse event results, and identify areas for improvement.

What are the 9-month goals for this role:

· Improve specific performance metrics, such as event budget management, event marketing effectiveness, and attendee satisfaction within the first nine months.

· Develop a comprehensive event strategy, outlining key tactics, timelines, and performance metrics.

· Track success measures and key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse event results, and identify areas for improvement.

What are the key responsibilities of this role:

• Develop and implement event plans with clear deadlines, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with our partners and suppliers, ensuring required service levels are met.
• Identify and secure suitable venues that align with the event's theme and requirements.
• Negotiate with venues to obtain the best deals, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.
• Arrange catering services that meet the dietary needs and preferences of attendees.
• Book travel and accommodation for team members, families and other guests as needed, ensuring comfort and convenience.
• Assist with communications and marketing efforts to promote events and increase attendance.
• Manage event setup and takedown, ensuring all elements are in place and the venue is left in good condition.
• Oversee the design, sourcing, ordering, and delivery of branded materials (e.g., welcome packs, T-shirts, banners) to enhance the event experience.
• Write accurate risk assessments and ensure event safety, particularly for children, by identifying potential hazards and implementing preventive measures.
• Accountability for health and safety compliance at events, adhering to legal requirements and best practices.
• Implement appropriate safeguarding measures at events attended by families, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
• Coordinate event activities, ensuring they run smoothly and according to schedule.
• Arrange and facilitate pre- and post-event meetings (e.g., briefings, wash-ups, debriefs) to ensure all team members are informed and any issues are addressed.
• Adhere to budget constraints set by the Event Owner, ensuring all expenses are accounted for and within limits.
• Provide appropriate updates to the Event Owner and team members accordingly.

· Managing event timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships to ensure seamless execution and cost-effectiveness. 

· Developing and implementing strategies to maximise event attendance and fundraising revenue.

Desirable

· Knowledge or experience of or with the military community.

· Events Management experience within the charity sector.
