The role is full-time (35 hours per week), typically worked across Monday to Friday. However, we are open to applications on a job-share basis, where two individuals work together to fulfil the responsibilities of the role. While there is some flexibility in working hours, availability is expected during core daytime hours to ensure collaboration with colleagues and timely support for schools.
We meet weekly as a team on Zoom to share updates, collaborate on projects, and pray together. In addition, we gather in person at least three times per year - typically once per term - for planning, training and team-building. These in-person gatherings usually involve overnight stays and are held at various locations around the UK.
We welcome applicants from across the UK who can commit to regular online engagement and travel for termly in-person meetings.
Person Specification
At Ten Ten, we believe that the Schools Support Officer isn’t just another role - it’s a vital presence that helps knit together our mission across hundreds of schools. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a remote working environment - someone who takes pride in being highly organised, attentive to detail, and ready to solve problems before they arise. You enjoy connecting with others through digital channels, build rapport easily, and are committed to providing exceptional support to both colleagues and partner schools.
The kind of person we’re looking for:
Essentials – you are:
Warm, welcoming, and professional – You have a friendly and reassuring tone in all interactions. You make people feel heard and supported.

Have experience supporting schools, education settings or customer service environments.
-
Are familiar with project management tools, content management platforms (CMS), or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

-
Has a ‘get stuck in’ mentality – you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and help out wherever needed.
-
Is confident taking the lead when needed – actively shaping processes and offering support.
-
Values teamwork and collaboration, but can also work independently and manage their own time well.
-

Since 1995, we have been helping victims and their families to navigate the devastating impact of road collisions through the National Road Victim Service—providing immediate, compassionate, and tailored support for those who have been bereaved or seriously injured. Our mission goes beyond recovery; we campaign tirelessly for legislative and societal changes to prevent future tragedies and make roads safer for everyone.
Join us as a Caseworker – Kent, Essex & East Region - To apply for this role, you MUST be a resident in the Kent or Essex area.

· Completing safeguarding assessments and escalating concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead when needed.
· Maintaining accurate case records in compliance with data protection policies.
· Engaging in external clinical supervision to manage personal resilience and well-being.
· Participating in team meetings, training, and professional development to ensure the highest standard of service delivery.
What We Offer
· £15,600 per year (12 months fixed term with the possibility of extension depending on funding)
· Flexible working hours—working pattern can be shaped around your needs.
· Mostly remote work, with travel to service users’ homes or safe meeting places (mileage expenses reimbursed).
· Death in service benefit, to the value of 2 x salary.
· 36 days annual leave, including bank holidays and compulsory end of year shutdown (pro rata for part time working patterns).
· Employee assistance program, including counselling, legal and financial advice.
· External trauma consultant support to aid in caseworker resilience.
· Structured induction, training, and ongoing development including in trauma-informed support and risk management.
Who We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:
· A full, clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
· Resident in the Kent or Essex area.
· Experience in frontline support services, preferably involving sudden bereavement or heightened vulnerabilities.
· Strong advocacy and research skills to liaise with multiple organisations on behalf of service users.
· Competency in I.T skills to work remotely.
Desirable Experience:
· Comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in the criminal justice system and coronial process
Personal Qualities:
· Self-motivated and resilient—able to navigate emotionally challenging situations.
· Empathetic and compassionate, with a commitment to helping others.
· Adaptable and creative, able to tailor support methods to individual needs.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with professionals and service users alike.

In the spring of 2025, the Vivensa Foundation launched its new strategic framework and identity. Formerly known as the Dunhill Medical Trust, it was back in the 1980s that our founder's niece recognised that the shifting demographics would drive a need for investment in a high-quality research base to improve our understanding of the mechanisms of ageing and ageing-related disease, together with the delivery of innovation to improve health and social care services for older people.
Our charitable objects were never more relevant than they are today and the opportunities are immense to support our academic and clinical researcher community to make real systemic change.
Today, we are the stewards of an endowment valued at around £170M, and have committed to distributing at least £30M over the next five years in in grant funding. We have also ring-fenced a part of our endowment for social investment. You can read more about our Strategic Framework here.
We now have a full time, permanent vacancy for an aspiring grants management professional to help us to deliver our strategic plan. As a member of the Grants Team and reporting to the Director of Research, you will be a primary point of contact for organisations applying for funding for academic or clinical research, as well as working with the team to develop, implement and evaluate our funding streams. If you’d like to explore using your grants management experience or research training in a subject area relevant to the work of the Foundation in a slightly different context, identify with our values and have the great attention to detail, flexible “can do” attitude and restless curiosity essential to the success of a small, expert team, go to our website to download the full job description and person specification and find out how to apply.
