Job description

11 month fixed term contract

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Divisional Director with expertise in developing and managing services for people with a learning disability, to cover an 11month secondment. The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge and experience of delivering quality Supported Living and Shared Living services to people with complex and physical support needs in a variety of accommodation.

You will be responsible for overseeing all our service across Yorkshire and deliver further growth and development in the division.

Skills & Experience

To be successful, you will need to be a strong leader with a track record in delivering positive outcomes for people with learning disabilities, often with complex needs. This will be coupled with strong business skills to manage this new contract.

We are looking for someone with excellent networking skills, so you will need to be a good negotiator, with strong relationship building skills and an excellent communicator. You will need proven experience of developing and supporting people in their own homes across a large geographical area and in a number of different locations, with a clear vision on how to establish and maintain high standards and a passion for delivering quality support that is values driven. You will also need to have proven budget management skills. Your ability to achieve results through effective teams and staff engagement will be paramount in maintaining Affinity Trust’s reputation as a quality provider and making a positive difference to the lives of the people we support.

A full clean driving licence is also required and the ability to travel to areas often not accessible by public transport due to the need to visit people we support and attend meetings in other regions.

This is a challenging, yet rewarding role and is an opportunity for you to develop and deliver quality support to people through positive staff engagement and team work. Ongoing training is provided to enable you to maintain and develop your skills and knowledge.
