About the opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Corporate Planning Manager to join our Corporate Planning team within the Finance & Assurance directorate. This is a critical leadership role responsible for designing, leading, and embedding a brand-new corporate planning process that will help turn our ambitious strategy into action.

This is more than a planning role - you’ll act as a coach, facilitator, and strategic partner, helping colleagues build capability while shaping how planning is understood and delivered across the Society.

- Strong experience leading corporate or strategic planning processes within a complex organisation
- Proven ability to align financial and activity planning to support strategic delivery

- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working at senior leadership level

As a Research Communications Assistant, you will join our Research Communications team within the Research and Innovation department, reporting to the Research Information Manager. You will work across teams to make sure our research is understood, valued and impactful.

What you’ll do
You will play a key role in helping our research reach the right people in the right way. This means not only creating and supporting engaging content, but also helping the team stay organised, connected and forward looking.
You will work closely with colleagues across research, media and engagement, building strong relationships and ensuring our communications are joined up and effective. Some days will be creative, others more operational, but all will contribute to helping people better understand dementia research and why it matters.
You will also help us stay responsive. Whether it is tracking new developments, answering enquiries or preparing for upcoming activity, your work will help the team plan ahead while staying flexible in a fast moving environment.
You can expect to:
- Monitor developments in dementia research and share insights with colleagues
- Turn complex information into clear, engaging content across web, social media, press and events
- Respond to enquiries from internal teams, external partners and media
- Support the planning and delivery of events, including conferences and research talks
- Work with researchers and colleagues to gather quotes, images and other materials
- Prepare briefings, presentations and reports
- Maintain workload trackers and support team planning
- Collaborate across teams to deliver joined up communications and maximise impact
This role may involve occasional travel, including overnight stays, with support provided.

You are organised, curious and motivated by meaningful work. You enjoy making complex ideas easier to understand and working with a wide range of people.

We are looking for a Medical Writer to join our Trial Finder team who can bring clarity to complexity and turn clinical information into something people can truly understand. Your work will directly support people to feel more in control of their journey and make informed decisions about whether research participation is right for them.
You will be part of the Research and Influencing directorate, working closely with the Alzheimer’s Society UK Dementia Trials Network Research Nurse Programme, Data and Digital teams, Research Communications team, Participation colleagues, and external partners across the UK dementia research community. Together, you will help ensure that opportunities to take part in research are visible, accessible, and meaningful.
About the role
- Turn detailed clinical trial information into clear, accessible stories that help people understand what a study involves and why it matters.
- Work alongside clinicians, researchers, NHS teams, and study sponsors to ensure every summary is accessible, accurate, up-to-date and reflects real opportunities to take part.
- Manage a steady flow of new and evolving studies, prioritising your work to meet timelines while maintaining a high quality and attention to detail.
- Keep the Trial Finder platform accurate and easy to navigate by uploading and updating content within the content management system.
- Create and refine supporting content across the Alzheimer’s Society website, helping people feel informed and confident about participating in clinical research.
- Maintain organised records of study listings and updates, ensuring information is reliable and easy to track.
- Support wider storytelling and awareness by contributing to communications that highlight research opportunities and their impact.
