Overall purpose of the role
The Trusts and Foundations Officer role will be responsible for securing five-figure funding from Trusts and Foundations and management of existing donor relationships to ensure effective stewardship. The role will also manage small Trust mailings and provide wider support to the team by maintaining funder records in Raisers Edge, developing case for support and supporting internal reporting on Trust fundraising activity.
We’re looking for an experienced Trust Fundraiser who can drive forward our income growth from both our existing and new supporters with skills in researching Trusts, writing compelling funding proposals and reports and in particular growing the medium Trust fundraising programme.
There are four key areas of responsibility for the role:
i) Identifying and researching Trusts that have the ability to give at the five-figure level, maintaining a pipeline of planned applications.
ii) Preparing high quality, written applications and reports to funders.
iii) Reviewing and growing a small Trust mailing programme (under 10K)
iv) Provision of support to the team in Raisers Edge data management and internal reporting.

We are looking to recruit a Support and Advocacy Practitioner to work collaboratively as part of a committed team to deliver an outstanding service and a range of personalised support that puts residents first and empowers them to achieve their goals and thrive in adult life. This is an exciting role in our Supported Accommodation team that will lead on co-producing bespoke support and move-on plans, involving key stakeholders such as Social Workers, Personal Advisors and other support providers where appropriate. The role will articulate the vision and ethos of the Chartered College of Teaching and inspire and empower internal and external stakeholders and the teaching profession to achieve the vision. The role will lead the growth of three core income streams: Chartered Status, membership and funded projects, and will represent the Chartered College of Teaching externally and grow our strategic networks. The role will advise on the education content of our external communications. The Director of Education will work with the Executive Leadership Team to develop and oversee implementation of the organisation’s strategy and to lead the Education Directorate to deliver the strategy. Organisational Planning & Strategy
- Work with the Executive Leadership Team to shape the organisational business plan, in partnership with Executive Leadership Team colleagues and Council, supported by a clear budget and plan for income generation
- Lead the implementation of the strategy, ensuring that KPIs are met / action is taken to course correct, and provide day-to-day guidance and long-term strategic direction for all employees within the College
- Oversee the College’s existing and new products and services, ensuring that they are of the highest standard, and are informed by research and impact evaluation
Leadership
- Advise on the education content of external communications
- Provide overall accountability and leadership in a range of areas including membership, publishing, content, research, Chartered status and other professional learning and accreditation
- Report to the Council as required and be the Executive Leadership Team representative for relevant committees, and ensure they have the reports and data needed to make informed decisions for the College
- Provide leadership and development of individuals within the team, including setting clear objectives, responsibilities, performance standards and development goals and managing these accordingly – through informal coaching and feedback and formal discussions including regular one to ones and appraisals

The Director of Education will be passionate about the purpose, vision and mission of the Chartered College of Teaching, including the growth of membership and accreditation, and the importance of high-quality education and research content. You will understand the importance of the College taking a balanced position (beyond ideology) and be able to link our existing content to our members’ needs. You will have gravitas with external stakeholders and be energised by developing and maintaining strong external networks within the education sector and with new and existing funders.

Experience and knowledge
Essential
- Teaching expertise - experience of working with teachers and school leaders in a range of contexts, ideally with a focus on professional learning

- Significant professional experience including a senior leadership role and interactions with board level executives or equivalent

Youth Project Worker
Transform the lives of young people with learning disabilities and autism who are avoiding school . Use creativity, advocacy and relationship-building to help them articulate their needs, re-enter education and rebuild social connections.
You'll work with 35 young people with learning disabilities and autism in Coventry each year , helping them to:
- Articulate their needs and wishes through creative one-to-one advocacy and support
- Re-enter education in a way that works for them as complex individuals
- Re-build social skills and connections to protect their wellbeing and enrich their lives
These young people may be learning-disabled or autistic, in special or mainstream education, or not in education, employment or training (NEET). They include school avoiders, those on reduced timetables, and young people with unmet mental health needs. Without support, their outcomes are often bleak - but you can change that.
What You'll Do
You'll meet young people where they feel most comfortable - at times that suit them, using WhatsApp, Zoom, or face-to-face. Together, you'll:
- Create multimedia person-centred 'back to learning and community' plans using video, voice recording, photographs, artwork or graphics
- Build their confidence through weekly one-to-one sessions, with gradual group engagement on their terms
- Advocate for their views and support them to develop self-advocacy skills
- Connect them with meaningful opportunities across the city
- Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals
- Complete risk assessments, travel plans and project monitoring
A fun and creative touch is essential - you'll co-design all activities with young people, focusing on what matters to them.

We are recruiting for a Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to join our team in Warwickshire.
Location: Warwickshire
Salary: £25,857.12 per annum
Contract type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract (until 26 September 2026)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday-Friday 9:00am -17:00pm with some late shifts required (12.30pm-20.30pm to cover the helpline on a rota basis (approx. 2 late shifts per month)
This is an opportunity to join Refuge as an IDVA to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic violence and their children who access the community service. The independent domestic violence advocate will work closely with victims of domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse, from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of domestic violence at the highest risk and their children.
The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.
The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. The job involves ensuring that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment and enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.
This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
