As Research Engagement Officer, you will be integral in helping to deliver our engagement programme within the research team. 

You will work with the Research Impact and Engagement Manager to support the embedding of our researcher engagement activity into regular practice, establishing our stewardship programme to bring us closer to our funded researchers and the wider blood cancer research community. We work with some of the most exciting and promising researchers across the UK – this role will ensure that our stewardship programme thrives and that relationships built with our grant holders are maintained throughout their career, with Blood Cancer UK seen as their funder of choice.

This Service Designer role primary focus will be partnering with the Service Transformation team to redesign and scale key support services – such as clinical trials support, direct referrals, health professional education programmes and outreach to underserved communities.

You’ll apply Service Design tools and methods to live projects, helping teams understand user needs, map journeys, prototype ideas and test improvements in practice. While your day-to-day work will sit within service transformation projects, you’ll also act as a connector to the wider digital team – bringing in the UX Designer, Content Designer and Innovation Lead as needed to ensure the right expertise is embedded at the right stage.

We're looking for a Content Designer to research, structure and write user-centred content for Tearfund's channels. This includes Tearfund's website, email, advertising, social media and print channels. We value effective collaboration at Tearfund, so you won't be working in isolation. Are you passionate about music, inclusion and making a real difference?  The OHMI Trust is looking for someone to lead our Instrument Development programmes.  The heart of our mission is to make music truly inclusive for people with physical impairments and in this role you will be driving forward the development and delivery of adapted musical instruments.  It is creative, purposeful work and we are looking for someone who cares deeply about the impact that music can have.

Our team is looking for someone who lives and breathes our passion as much as we do and will put the work (and the miles) into bringing our mission to life. You will do this through:

• Developing a strategic approach in how we can increase the range of instruments and supportive apparatus available, working with instrument makers and technologists where necessary. 
• Identifying potential entrants for our OHMI Competition, which is where we challenge developers and instrument makers to adapt or create instruments that can be played without the use of one hand and arm.
• Supporting our OHMI Music-makers, a project that works with partner organisations to bring music lessons to individual students or a whole class by providing adapted instruments.
• Making sure we are communicating with our funders and Board of Trustees about our progress and impact.

And as a key member of the team, you will support us in promoting our great work at various key conferences and workshops.

No two days look the same here at the OHMI Trust, but a week could look like this:

· Arranging meetings with student groups working on instrument related engineering projects.

· Joining an online meeting to develop the strategy for overcoming a specific instrument production challenge.

· Writing an application for funding towards the next instrument/piece of equipment that is needed.

Hours: 18.75 per week, but flexible. Some weekend and evening work will be expected, as circumstances and opportunities require. This post is subject to a 6-month probation period.

Location: flexible within the UK – this is a home/remote working role but there will be travel throughout the UK and there is an advantage in being located within easy commuting distance of the West Midlands, where the rest of the staff are currently based.

Working closely with the marketing team, you’ll help shape strong, clear propositions that lead to the best possible creative solutions. You’ll also build collaborative relationships across the organisation – from income generation and communications to campaigns, services and retail – making sure their creative needs are met and spotting new opportunities for the team to add value.

As well as mentoring and inspiring a talented team of designers, writers and content creators, you’ll help plan and prioritise projects, keeping things running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work with a trusted network of external creatives to bring ideas to life to a high standard, on time and within budget. A natural champion of great creative work, you’ll foster a supportive, can-do culture, oversee asset management, and make sure the team’s work is visible, accessible and celebrated. About the team 

Shelter’s multi award-winning in-house creative team (In-House Agency of the Year, 2025 Drum Awards) has an impressive track record of fighting homelessness and the housing emergency through sector-leading creative content. In leading this team, this role will collaborate closely with our Planning Lead, Copy Lead and two Creative Leads to inspire and support a talented cross-organisational team of writers, designers, videographers, photographers and other creatives.

This is an exciting opportunity for a digital content professional to play a vital role in transforming the organisation’s online presence—delivering high-quality, accessible, and user-centred content that supports people across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Web content editing & publishing - Take responsibility for editing, reworking and publishing content within the website CMS (ideally Umbraco), ensuring consistency, clarity, and adherence to digital best practice.
• Content optimisation for SEO - Apply SEO principles to all written content, ensuring pages are optimised for search performance—working with wider digital teams to improve visibility and rankings.
• User-led content design - Develop content that is clearly structured, easy to navigate, and shaped around user needs. Work closely with UX colleagues and content designers to support user journeys and accessibility standards.
• Support content migration - Contribute to a large content review and migration process, helping reduce the site. This includes rewriting, updating metadata, and optimising images in collaboration with the wider team.
• Champion best practice writing for web - Maintain a clear, supportive, and consistent tone of voice across all content. Ensure every piece meets digital content standards, is inclusive, and delivers real value to end users.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience editing and managing digital content in a website or CMS environment.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles, with the ability to write and structure content accordingly.
• Excellent copywriting skills with a focus on best practice for web—clarity, accessibility, and tone of voice.
• Familiarity with user-centred content design, including content structuring for readability and journey planning.
• Confident using CMS platforms (ideally Umbraco, though others are fine).
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple content tasks to deadlines.

Desirable:

• Previous experience working on a major content migration or website launch.
• Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, or Screaming Frog.
