Title: Midweight Designer
Location: Gilwell Park, Chingford (hybrid – a minimum of one day a week in the office)
Salary: Hybrid -£33,476 per annum, Band E, Level 3 (inclusive of Outer London Weighting)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
The Role:
We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly creative, Graphic Designer to join the Scouts Brand and Content team at Gilwell Park.
In this exciting and varied role, you’ll design and deliver impactful content that supports the Scouts’ strategy: empowering even more young people through adventure, teamwork and shared values to take the lead and make a positive difference in the world.
Reporting to the Creative Lead, you’ll design a wide range of content, from thumb stopping social media posts, and annual reports, to large scale event branding and resources that support Scout badges and group activities.
You’ll collaborate with internal and external colleagues to produce branded content, mainly for digital channels such as social media and the website, though print design and layout skills are also essential. You’ll play a key role in the creative content process, brainstorming and shaping content using words, images, audio and video, with a strong focus on design.
You’ll also play an important creative role in project teams, delivering on-brand digital and print content that supports our goals. This includes conceptualisation, presentation, commissioning work, training colleagues on best practices and delivering to deadlines.
You’ll lead on key projects and campaigns, plus mentor and guide a junior creative.
As our Midweight Designer, the Key responsibilities are:
- Provide in-house graphic design services
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to research, test and iterate content for digital channels such as social media and the website
- Lead and project-manage specific projects and campaigns
- Suggest creative solutions and put forward own ideas for engaging and innovative content and other improvements to the user journey
What we are looking for in our Midweight Designer:
- Strong creative and conceptual skills
- Able to conceptualise and produce content, with a specialist design focus, for digital and physical contexts, including marketing materials
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines with good attention to detail
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (eg Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)

We’re looking for a talented Graphic Designer to help shape and elevate the Dogs Trust brand, crafting compelling multi-channel content that supports our strategic goals. You’ll also provide day-to-day guidance to fellow designers, ensuring high-quality, on-brand work is delivered on time, to budget, and to a consistently high standard.
What does this role do?
As a Graphic Designer you will:
- Develop and evolve Dogs Trust’s visual identity and campaign concepts across digital and print,
- Produce a range of marketing materials for internal and external channels, including digital and print assets,
- Lead multiple design projects from brief to delivery, working with colleagues and external suppliers to ensure on-brand results,
- Champion best-practice design, including accessibility and EEDI, while staying current with trends, tools, and maintaining key brand assets.
Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for week commencing 12th January 2026.
Could this be you?
We are looking for a highly creative and technically skilled Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio across digital and print, excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, and a solid understanding of digital accessibility and print production. The ideal candidate has strong strategic thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a consistent brand identity. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, combined with a passion for animal welfare and experience in the charity sector, are essential.
