DIRECTORATE PURPOSE
The Fundraising, Marketing and Communications directorate is responsible for:
• Income generation across trusts and foundations, corporates, major donors, community fundraising, public donations, and legacies, alongside relationships with commissioners and public sector funders.
• Partnership development, engaging businesses, philanthropists, trusts, and volunteers.
• Marketing of services and membership to families, adoptees, commissioners, and professionals in health, education, and social care.
• Awareness raising and thought leadership, ensuring adoption and permanence issues have a strong voice nationally.
Currently a team of six, the directorate has strong ambitions to grow in size and scope, with scope to re-imagine its structure to meet future needs.
THE ROLE

As Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications you will:
• Build unrestricted income in a competitive funding environment
• Lead the transformation of Adoption UK’s income model, scaling from £500k to £2m+ contribution (by 2030) to organisational income growth from a £4.2m baseline.
• Develop and deliver a bold, integrated fundraising, marketing, and communications strategy.
• Build Adoption UK’s brand and profile with families, adoptees, commissioners, policymakers, funders, and the wider public.
• Inspire, coach, and grow a talented team, embedding a culture of confidence, creativity, and innovation.
• Personally cultivate and steward high-value donor, corporate, and foundation relationships, working with the CEO, Board of Trustees, and ambassadors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
• Lead the design and delivery of a multi-year fundraising, marketing, and communications strategy aligned to organisational priorities.
• Act as a cultural change leader, shifting from risk-averse to confident, outward-facing engagement.
• Contribute fully to the Senior Leadership Team, influencing strategy, governance, and financial planning.
Income Growth & Diversification
• Oversee all voluntary income streams – trusts, major donors, corporates, community/public fundraising, legacies – while also strengthening public sector and commissioning relationships.
• Oversee marketing and growth of membership as a core element of income and impact.
• Deliver long-term growth targets.
• Use and promote data-driven decision-making, supporter journeys, and digital fundraising/marketing effectively.
• Design and deliver a signature annual Showcase event, alongside new products such as a Giving Circle and Corporate Club, ensuring clear ROI and upgrade potential.
• Personally lead cultivation of transformational donor and partner relationships, supported by trustees, ambassadors, and patrons.
• Identify and test new funding streams and partnerships to diversify income and reduce risk.
Marketing & Communications
• Oversee a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy covering fundraising, membership, services, training, campaigns, and advocacy.
• Ensure a compelling and consistent case for support and brand identity across all channels.
• Raise Adoption UK’s national profile with media, commissioners, professionals, and the public.
• Lead digital transformation: CRM upgrade, supporter journeys, analytics, social media, and digital marketing.
• Manage media relations and reputation, including crisis communications alongside the CEO.
Team Leadership & Culture
• Lead, inspire, and grow a team of talented and motivated individuals.

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and ROI analysis for the directorate.

• Lead fundraising due-diligence and reputational risk processes, with regular reporting to Trustee-led committees (e.g. Finance & Risk).
• Ensure compliance with the Fundraising Code, GDPR, charity law, and safeguarding standards.
• Embed robust CRM, data, and analytics to support continuous improvement.
External Engagement
• Act as a visible ambassador for Adoption UK with donors, corporates, trusts and foundations, policymakers, and media.
• In collaboration with the CEO and Chair, direct ambassadors and patrons to open doors, advocate, and steward transformational relationships.
• Represent Adoption UK externally at events, forums, and national platforms.

Contract: Initial two-year fixed-term contract.

UK for UNHCR, the UK partner of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), is seeking an Individual Giving leader to shape the future of Individual Giving at the organisation and unlock long-term, sustainable income growth.
UNHCR stands alongside people forced to flee their homes, advocating for their rights and raising funds to support their protection, dignity and futures. UNHCR’s work has never been more important – by the end of 2024, a record 122.6 million people were displaced, with children accounting for 40% of all forcibly displaced people
UK for UNHCR (UK4U) builds solidarity and raises funds in the UK for refugees worldwide - last year UK4U raised a total income of £25.5 million and continues to build on strong foundations since its beginnings in 2019.
The charity is now seeking a Director of Individual Giving in a new and exciting opportunity to explore how UK4U can expand on these foundations, with a focus on increasing the sustainability of the donor base and maximising lifetime value, as well as identifying opportunities for transformational income growth.
The role will be responsible for leading a team of 12 people and strategic leadership for all fundraising from the UK public, including mid-value and legacy supporters, and covering both digital and offline channels. The post-holder will utilise market insight, data intelligence and an innovative approach to design a high-performing long-term Individual Giving strategy that puts UK4U’s supporters and refugee communities at the heart of everything they do.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of leading successful, large-scale multi-million-pound Individual Giving programmes and proven leadership experience at a senior, strategic level. You will have a strong track record of fostering innovation in Individual Giving, alongside the experience shaping strategy and making significant investment decisions.
You will also have a deep understanding of the UK Individual Giving fundraising market across all channels and of programmes that focus on value, high average gift rates and mid-value programmes. Finally, you will be an inclusive and empowering leader with a strong commitment to the refugee cause. Experience of fundraising for international humanitarian and development causes would be an advantage, as well as understanding of mid-value programmes.

As Director of Services, you will be responsible for the leadership, development and integration of all frontline services at the centre, covering Housing, Health, Youth Work, Rough Sleeping, and Youth Justice. You will work to ensure that services are high quality, joined-up, trauma-informed, and relentlessly focused on the needs and potential of the young people the centre serves. Director, Supply Chain | C. £110,000 + Benefits | Permanent | London | Hybrid
For one of the UK's leading Housing Associations, we're recruiting their Supply Chain Director. Reporting to the CFO, this is a key leadership role leading the strategic transformation of Supply Chain management across the organisation. The Supply Chain Director will lead a central team of 4, whilst working strategically with the wider Heads of Procurement and Commercial teams to set the Supply Chain strategy, and develop, embed, and continuously improve the Supply Chain framework across 4000 suppliers and £1.5Bn spend.
Main Duties:
- Leading and setting the strategic plan for Supply Chain, operating within a 'hub and spoke' model
- Lead the development of a robust category management approach (which will be delivered by 'spokes') to streamline vendor relationships and reduce risk
- Develop Group-wide Supply Chain framework (end-to-end), ensuring alignment to corporate strategy, legislation and category management
- Ensure Supply Chain framework is embedded, and subject to continuous improvement
- Apply data and insight to inform and drive decision-making across spend landscape, supplier rationalisation, and efficiency savings across the Supply Chain framework
- Utilise data to identify and evaluate emerging Supply Chain trends, opportunities and best-practices, and drive continuous improvement
- Lead horizon scanning for new legislation, policy and procedures, and ensure the organisation adapt in alignment with corporate strategy and strategic risk
- Partner with Strategy and Performance and OD teams to ensure SOPs and training is rolled out across the Supply Chain framework
- Embed a culture of communication and collaboration practices between the Supply Chain 'hub' and Commercial 'spokes'.
- Leadership, management and coaching of Supply Chain 'hub' team
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to embed the Supply Chain framework, and report and update on performance, and challenges to leadership team
Person Specification:
- Proven track record in senior supply chain leadership roles with a deep understanding of category management, risk and compliance
- Expert in supply chain tech (e.g., ERP) and deep Public Sector procurement and Regulatory experience
- Track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
- MCIPS / CSCP highly desirable as is Advanced Practitioner status for the Procurement Act 2023

About the Role
As a member of the Executive Team, you will provide financial, operational and people-focused leadership while ensuring robust governance and sustainable growth.

The Gardens, Libraries and Museums of the University of Oxford house some of the world's most significant collections. Wildlife & Countryside Link is a coalition of 90 environmental charities. We are looking for a Head of/ Director of campaigns and media to help organise and inspire joint campaigning for the nature movement.
We are planning a five-year strategy of coordinated campaigning and media to make sure we can fight off the big political and policy risks to nature and drive forward the major changes needed to halt the decline of wildlife by 2030.
