About the role
London-based contract with the option of hybrid working between the office and home.
In this role your expertise in industrial relations and understanding of trade unions will be critical to the CSP as it supports physiotherapy and support staff in workplaces across the UK.
You will lead the CSP’s work on Job Evaluation — championing fair pay structures by representing the profession in the NHS Job Evaluation Group, as well as developing and sharing specialist knowledge in this area with staff and reps.
You will coordinate evidence-based responses to Government consultations related to the workplace, ensuring our members’ experiences and priorities cut through with decision makers and help shape CSP policy and strategy around employment matters.
Your research and policy work will underpin bargaining, campaigning and negotiations across local, regional, country and UK levels — turning evidence into influence to improve our members working lives.
You will make sure our reps have the right information at the right time by producing high‑quality materials that support recruitment, activism and workplace organising and you will provide clear, authoritative guidance on employment and union matters for members,
A core part of the role will be to produce a range of documents and materials, including reports; briefings/ guidance; consultation responses; speeches; articles; and text for leaflets, posters, in house journal and website. You will be adept at drafting to suit a range of print and digital channels and formats.

The CSP operates a hybrid working model, allowing employees to work between their home and the office. While we do not stipulate the number of days in the office, employees can decide, through discussions with their line managers, how, when, and where they work best, balancing the needs of the CSP, the team, and themselves. Employees are still expected to attend the office for in-person meetings when required for their role and the organisation. About you
Working within the communications and marketing team, you'll be confident in managing our social media accounts (we have many), ensuring we're using platforms to get our messages out to both wide and targeted audiences with engaging and timely content.
You'll be happy using tools for social listening, interacting with our audiences and building our reach. You'll be familiar with key metrics for social engagement and will be reporting back to colleagues and other stakeholders - and using this data to constantly improve our communications.

Oh, and you probably know your way around an emoji set and are not scared of a well timed pun. We were founded as a Welsh organisation providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage.

Furnishing Futures is a charity that creates beautiful healing homes for women and children who have escaped domestic abuse, and been given empty social housing, using unwanted furniture from the interiors industry. You will provide high-quality, proactive support to victims of domestic violence and abuse, delivering services to those at high risk, as well as low or medium risk clients when required. This role operates within Bromley & Croydon Women’s Aid (BCWA) but contributes to the Safe Horizons London Partnership, ensuring survivor-focused, culturally competent, and intersectional support.The IDVA will work collaboratively with the Safe Horizons network, supporting victims/survivors through both in-person advocacy and the partnership’s bespoke digital platform, which provides access to specialist modules, resources, and 24/7 support where appropriate.

Location: All staff have access to hot-desking at our office as needed.Flexible working is welcomed at BCWA, with a mix of home and location-based working across our friendly and supportive team. About the FCLP
upReach is recruiting for our unique Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP). This is a great opportunity for anyone who is passionate about social mobility, and looking to gain exposure to various aspects of charity management whilst working with university students who are exploring their career options. We welcome applications from those in the corporate world who are looking for a career change as well as recent graduates wanting to kick-start their career in the third sector.
upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP) combines delivery work (supporting our Associates) with exposure to a range of aspects of charity management.
As a Programme Coordinator on the FCLP, you will deliver personalised, employment-focused support to a cohort of approximately 80 Associates, helping to transform their lives by equipping them with the necessary skills to secure a top graduate job. During a typical week, you should expect to be working across a range of projects including:
1:1 undergraduate coaching
Events organisation
Application support
Partnership management (with university partners or employer partners)
and more!
In addition to this, the programme offers the opportunity to develop skills in key areas of charity management by participating in 3 rounds of six-month 'rotations' across different functions. After your initial 18 months and the completion of 3, six-month rotations, you will have the opportunity to undertake an apprenticeship in Leadership and Management to further develop your skills and gain a level 3 qualification.
Throughout the programme, you will receive dedicated internal training developing your leadership skills and building your confidence in the role.Through our partnership with The Circle Line, you will be part of a supportive peer group, offered regular personal development training workshops online and in-person on their '12 Tools for Life'. You will also be able to choose your own practitioner to support you in 1:1 sessions throughout the programme to help you unlock more of your unique potential.
What will I be doing?
The FCLP is a fast-paced but rewarding role. Programme Coordinators spend 80% of their time (4 days per week) working directly with Associates to enhance their career knowledge and skills and 20% (1 day per week) on a charity management rotation (or an apprenticeship after 18 months). No two days are the same, but your responsibilities may include:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with Associates, helping them to achieve their career goals
Developing and delivering professional development-focused support
Individual and small group work with Associates
Assisting Associates with their applications to undergraduate positions and graduate jobs
Developing sector and/or employability skill knowledge while building resources to aid all Associates
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with university and/or employer partners
Delivering informative workshops to enhance sector knowledge and employability skills
Planning, delivering and reporting on events and workshops with partners
When applying for this role we ask that applicants are able to commit to the full 18-month training programme, and we encourage participation in the apprenticeship scheme beyond this. As you will be working directly with our beneficiaries throughout their degree, this consistency will allow you to build bonds with your Associates and ensure continuity, thus allowing us to have the most impact for the young people we work with.
What Skills and Experience do I need?
This programme would be suited to individuals who are committed to upReach’s mission, motivated to work with undergraduates and interested in learning about, and gaining experience in, charity management. We are looking for people who are passionate about social mobility and believe that background should not be a barrier to graduate employment.
Essential Skills/Experiences:
Working in a fast-paced environment and working independently to find solutions to problems
Strong organisational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage a varied workload
A University degree in any discipline, or equivalent experience
Self-motivation and an ability to work in a small team as well as solo
Excellent communication skills and strong written English
The ability to engage and communicate confidently with undergraduates, corporate volunteers (mentors) and employers via phone, email, and in person
Confidence with public speaking or facilitating workshops
Desirable Skills/Experiences:
Knowledge of the graduate labour market in the UK and experience supporting individuals through an application process

Your responsibilities
Quality programme delivery
Lead high quality professional development and school improvement programmes in our Pathway programmes and Open Learning for groups of teachers. These may be delivered in person, online or in school.
Deliver transformative consultancy support, working with teachers and school leaders to design and implement bespoke improvement plans for their oracy provision, including through in school and online consultancy support, and one-to-one advice.
Build credibility and purposeful relationships with programme participants, both at programme days and touchpoints, and on an on-going basis to drive impact in our schools.
Be responsible for participant learning and experience on your programmes, upholding high standards for all elements such as preparation, adapting to participant needs, content and rigour, on-going interactions and support, and participant feedback.
Learning content & programme development
Proactively share insights and learning from the programmes you deliver, proposing and shaping solutions to enable Voice 21 to continually improve its programme offer.
Apply and share expertise through varied outputs such as teaching materials, online learning content, resources, written or video outputs. Proactively identify and respond to opportunities or gaps and fulfil briefs or commissions.
Contribute to the continual improvement of Voice 21’s programmes, through development and review cycles, based on first-hand learning from our schools, content expertise, programme insights and external research and evidence.
Team and organisational contribution
Act as an ambassador for Voice 21’s national oracy expertise, communicating the value and impact of our approach at conferences, events and through publications.
Embody and communicate oracy teaching and learning expertise within the organisation, acting as a resource for the wider team and making contributions to organisational priorities, projects, campaigns and events, outputs and publications etc.
Continually and proactively develop your own and others’ expertise in Voice 21’s approach to a high quality oracy education, and use this to leverage impact for our schools through tangible learning outputs.

Your experience
You are an excellent teacher (primary or secondary)
You are passionate about teaching and learning, and the role of talk in learning. You have used talk to support learning in your classroom.
You have experience leading whole-school change and inspiring teachers to embrace new approaches and ideas.
You have a knowledge of a range of speaking and listening techniques and contexts for oracy, these could include: debate, dialogic teaching, storytelling, public speaking or communication and language development.
You are a strong communicator both when working in a small team and when facilitating learning for large groups of adults.
You are flexible, can think on your feet and can bring your own experiences to the work we do.
You are highly-organised, look for solutions and can prioritise and manage a varied workload.
You are enthusiastic, willing to learn and feel you would be energised by our mission. If you do not fully meet all the above criteria, but are happy to work towards developing into the role, we would be happy to consider your application.
You are willing to travel nationally on a frequent basis (3 days a week) during term time; this will include regular overnight stays.
