To provide appropriate emotional and practical support to women in the sex industry  and/or those who are being sexually exploited with a specific focus on those who are homeless. The women we support require intensive practical and emotional support as well as  support navigating health and other social care or criminal justice systems. The women will have poor mental or physical health,  experience  with homelessness and of the criminal justice system, are often victims of sexual and/or domestic abuse and many are homeless. This post specifically will offer support through the Housing First approach, offering access to a home, alongside intensive support. Working within a harm reduction ethos prioritising women’s safety and wellbeing, the intensive personalized supported will help women to access other services making appropriate referrals for women who wish to make changes, including exiting/transitioning out of sex work. You will be responsible for ensuring that women with varying needs are supported effectively throughout their pathway of support with Basis and partners, advocating for and with the women you are working with including where necessary challenging stigma and judgement women face. This post will work in close partnership with the Tenancy Management Support worker employed by Turning Lives Around.

Our services in Leeds provide support to adult women (and those identifying as women/non- binary) involved in all aspects of the sex industry or who are experiencing exploitation. The postholder will provide support to women identified as requiring or accessing intensive support. The team work to Basis’ organisational values, taking a rights-based approach and provide evidence-based services to enable and empower women to make informed choices. Principal Duties and Responsibilities of Post-Holder:

7. Carry out food temperature control monitoring, including checking, recording, and maintaining appropriate temperatures during storage, preparation, cooking, and transportation. 
8. Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, including cleaning kitchen equipment, tables, serving areas, and restocking supplies.
9. Work collaboratively with management team and student staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
10. Assist with cash register duties, including taking payments and providing change as necessary.
11. Follow all food safety guidelines, sanitation procedures, and health safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and customer.

Job Title: Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA)

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as an IGVA supporting women and children who are impacted by different strands of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). The independent gender violence advocate will work closely with victims of gender-based violence from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of gender-based violence at the highest risk and their children.

The role will be part of increasing the ability of partner agencies to recognise, reject and respond appropriately and safely to all forms of gender-based violence (including domestic violence, sexual, financial and emotional abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage and honour-based violence). The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. About You

• Educated to degree level with a full professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).

About the Role

• Lead statutory and management reporting: Oversee the production of audited statutory financial statements and timely completion of the external audit. Ensure best practice in external financial reporting and take full responsibility for the accuracy and delivery of monthly management accounts.
• Own cash flow and balance sheet management: Lead the preparation of the charity’s monthly rolling cash flow forecast and ensure full ownership of the balance sheet, including timely and accurate reconciliations.
• Strengthen financial controls and working capital: Ensure effective financial processes and controls within transactional teams to manage working capital and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
• Oversee compliance and tax: Identify, manage and control financial risks, including tax compliance. Provide expert technical accounting advice and ensure the charity remains fully compliant in all taxation matters, including VAT and gift aid.
• Drive counter fraud and governance improvements: Act as the financial lead for the charity’s control environment and counter fraud framework. Champion improvements in fraud awareness, culture, and control.

About the Role

Global Canopy is seeking a motivated and adaptable Research Associate to join our growing NRF team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong research foundation in nature-related finance who is looking to build experience across a range of areas including technical analysis, engagement, and capacity-building.

As a Research Associate, you will work across multiple projects aimed at helping shift global financial flows away from nature-negative outcomes toward nature-positive ones. In this role you will:

• contribute to capacity-building initiatives that help financial institutions apply tools like ENCORE in real-world settings
• support the design and delivery of research that underpins practical tools and insights that incentivise market participants to account for nature-related risks (for example, integrating nature into financial products and services, designing transition pathways, improving the understanding and pricing of nature-related risks.)
• translate complex, technical content on nature-related finance into formats that are clear and actionable for non-specialist audiences

An initial core responsibility in this role is to support the delivery of capacity-building activities on the ENCORE tool in Colombia, Indonesia, South Africa, and Peru. This includes working closely with in-country consultants to provide technical and operational support, adapt materials to local contexts, and ensure effective implementation on the ground.
This role will report into the NRF deputy director, and will also involve supporting the NRF deputy director in her role within the ENCORE partnership and associated fundraising activities.

Responsibilities

This role will report into and support the NRF deputy-director and work across a range of NRF projects, including the ENCORE tool.

• Responsibility for the delivery of the capacity-building components in the SECO-funded ENCORE project
• Supervise consultants/suppliers and/or manage relationships with partners who are collaborating on engagement and capacity building activities that help mainstream the use of nature-related financial tools and frameworks
• Develop and curate training materials for example to assist financial institutions in applying ENCORE
• Work closely with the Education and Learning Team in GC to translate technical content into learning offerings
• Explore and develop engagement partnerships on with various stakeholders such as scientific institutions, other IGOs and NGOs. Manage and contribute to governance of these partnerships
• Work with Global Canopy Communications team to ensure that materials for Global Canopy are aligned with organisational approaches to messaging and tone of voice
• Work with Global Canopy Senior Designer to ensure that visual assets and all materials for Global Canopy align with the organisation’s brand identity as needed
• Responsible for designing, leading and preparation of research focusing on key nature-related finance issues
• Ensure highest quality of research outputs and be part of the research teams
• Lead research partnerships on nature-related financial risks with leading scientific institutions. This will include designing governance structures of the research to include market participants as a tester community, advisory committee, or other most appropriate ways to crowd-in practice and test outputs
• Actively contribute to identification of funding opportunities and models (grants, corporate sponsorships etc.) to finance future research work
• Input into development of Global Canopy’s overall strategy and the NRF specific strategy based on area of research
• Support the NRF deputy director in her role within the ENCORE partnership by coordinating partner engagement across key areas. This will include preparation of materials prior to meetings with partners – for example, preparing materials for the ENCORE governance committee or supporting in

Requirements

As Charity Director at Dons Local Action Group (DLAG), you will lead a respected and fast-growing organisation at the heart of the community.

As part of our mission to promote and protect hospice care for all, it is critical that our communications team keeps it high on the agenda. We’ve built huge momentum – whether with regular national TV news coverage, a rapidly growing online supporter base, or though our recently overhauled brand. But we need a savvy, politically switched-on Head of Communications and Campaigns to keep that going, and to make it pay off.

Hospices are amongst our most loved community charities, and our job as the national charity for hospice care is to rally the public – as well as major donors like companies and trusts – to support these brilliant organisations.

You’ll need a strong eye for a story, and an integrated understanding of the full spectrum of communications, campaigns and marketing. You’ll likely be a specialist in one area – which is fine – but we want someone who can join the dots, spot the opportunities, and inspire a team of specialists.

The role

The special events coordinator will report to the special events manager.

Principal responsibilities

Event planning and coordination

Supporting the new cancer campaign

· Prepare for campaign events in support of a £50m campaign for a ground-breaking cancer centre on the Royal Free Hospital site.

Vendor management

· Whether on-site at one of our hospitals or at an external venue, take responsibility for sourcing, negotiating and managing relationships with vendors, including caterers, suppliers and on-site partners.

Budget management

· Create and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.  

Communications and promotion

· Collaborate with the communications team to develop promotional materials and strategies to maximise event attendance and engagement.  

RSVP management

· Managing the RSVP mailbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses to event invitations and queries.

Database management

· Maintain and update event-related databases, ensuring accurate records of participants, donors and sponsors.  

Relationship management

· Act as the main point of contact for colleagues, donors and contractors, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the event planning and delivery process.

Portfolio manager support

· Assist portfolio managers in engaging with prospects and donors effectively, providing event-related insights and facilitating meaningful connections.  

On-site coordination

· Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all elements are in place and events run smoothly.  

Post-event evaluation

· Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.  

Oversight and responsibility

· Manage risk assessment, risk management and first aid training to ensure the safety and well-being of all event participants.

The team

Our dynamic fundraising department generated £4.5m through donations in 2023/24, and we are now preparing for an ambitious multi-million-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital.

We pride ourselves on being a supporter focused and agile function, working at the heart of the charity to deliver impact for patients and staff across our hospitals.

Responsible for attracting and retaining donors, and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, the fundraising department comprises two teams which work closely together to achieve our shared objectives:

About the role:

The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Drive Data Team Manager and Senior Managers within the Drive Partnership to ensure data and reporting remains rigorous and robust, and informs recommendations across the Drive Programme and partners. You will do this by taking a lead role on the ongoing data collection, analysis, research design and delivery of our work across the Drive Programme workstreams.  The Senior Data Analyst will also act as a liaison between data teams within Respect and Safelives where there is identified workstreams that cross over.
