We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, fast learning volunteers creative engagement intern to join our growing team at Human Appeal; helping us to produce content for our London volunteers through new and innovative ideas including daily reminders, summary posts following our events to show the impact volunteers are making. To maximise volunteer support and showcase the Human Appeal teams work who are delivering the projects on the ground.

Main tasks include:

· Produce High Quality, engaging content in various formats tailored to specific platforms and targeted at volunteers. E.g  Developing weekly posts for our volunteer group chats, curating motivational reels, event summary posts and showcasing our projects.

· Managing our London and South Volunteer Led Instagram Account- By posting updates from our events and engaging content.

· Research new or existing social engagement strategies to apply in our volunteer groupchats

· Attending events to gather content for upcoming content creation

· Develop new and engaging content ideas to increase volunteer retention and awareness of our campaigns

· Monthly Newsletter to summarise all significant campaigns- volunteer updates.

We are currently in our market expansion phase across Spain and Catalonia, building partnerships with municipalities, water utilities, and industrial players. Role Summary – Intelligence Research Volunteer

As an Intelligence Research Volunteer, you will support Kimedes in gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing critical market insights. Your work will focus on tracking technologies, competitors, policy frameworks, and sector trends in the water management and climatetech space. These insights will directly inform Kimedes’ go-to-market strategy, fundraising narrative, and product positioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research on emerging technologies in leak detection, water management, and climatetech.
• Map and analyze competitors, startups, and incumbents in the European and global water sector.
• Track market trends, regulations, and funding opportunities relevant to water technology adoption.
• Prepare concise reports, briefs, and dashboards to share insights with the CEO and COO.

Do you live in Wales and want to gain valuable skills, have new experiences, and support vulnerable people? 

We are offering 3 young people aged 18-25 the opportunity to volunteer with the Portuguese Red Cross in Cucujães, serving the Municipality of Oliveira de Azeméis. The programme will run from August 2025 – November 2025. 

All our placements are fully funded, with travel, accommodation, visas and health insurance costs covered, and volunteers receive a small monthly allowance to cover additional expenses. 

You will support the local community in three main areas: Social Assistance and access to Welfare Services, Emergency Response & First Aid, and Youth Engagement. This is a great opportunity to get involved in social action projects and find out what you are interested in!

Please note that only young people based in Wales can apply for this role. This role requires someone with intermediate to fluent levels of spoken and written French. Interviews will take place online with shortlisted candidates. 

We are keen to hear from individuals especially those who do not normally get the chance to volunteer overseas, who are passionate and motivated about working in the humanitarian sector and international volunteering but who also understand that these types of placements require adaptability and resilience. As an RPR Support Volunteer you might:

· Visit people in their care home, to make sure they’re getting the right care and support

Hospital Visitor Volunteer

Hospital Visitor volunteers visit hospital settings to ensure that people detained under the Mental Health Act are aware that they have a legal right to an IMHA qualified advocate.  The volunteers are instrumental in ensuring that clients get access to an advocate and can also support the work that advocates undertake.

As a hospital volunteer, you might: 

• hold drop-in sessions
• attend events and ward meetings at local facilities
• share information
• assist people to request advocacy support by completing a form online or calling our contact centre

All volunteering will take place Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00.  You will need to be over 18 years old and be living in the UK. Please note that there is no opportunity to volunteer at weekends or in the evening.

This is an exciting new volunteering role in the Peri team, supporting the daily operations of the internal training team and assisting with weekly tasks, mainly administrative.

SWA trains staff and volunteers in Domestic Abuse support, including frontline care, psychologically informed frameworks, advocacy, and working with complex needs SU. We expect volunteers to be proactive, bringing forth ideas to improve training processes, and handle various tasks independently. Volunteer Carer Opportunity – Jumbulance Ski Trip to Niederau, Austria
23rd January – 1st February 2026

We’re looking for volunteer carers to join us on our annual ski trip to the beautiful resort of Niederau, Austria. This is a unique chance to support others while enjoying an unforgettable ski holiday in the Alps. No prior care experience? That’s fine, we provide full training. Could this trip be your first step toward gaining valuable experience in the health and care sector?

What we provide:

• Travel on board The Jumbulance, accommodation, breakfasts, and dinners

• Ski equipment and lift pass

• The chance to ski or enjoy the hotel’s spa and local activities

• Free DBS Certificate, initial training in care, safeguarding and manual handling 

Your role will include:

• Reporting to the Care Lead for the trip, who will be on hand to provide guidance and support when needed

• Supporting a passenger with their morning and evening routines - personal care such as washing, dressing, and using the toilet

• Medication support where required

• Helping with mealtimes as needed

• Providing support in the spa if required and when safe to do so

• Sharing the support, each volunteer has either the morning or afternoon off each day, giving you regular time to ski, relax at the hotel spa, or explore the resort

• Joining in with group activities in the evenings, which often include games or a drink at the bar

Experience and training:

• Previous care experience is preferred but not essential

• We’ll provide training before the trip so you feel confident in your role

• Most important is a caring attitude, teamwork, and willingness to get involved

Fundraising:
To help make these life-changing trips possible, all volunteers are expected to fundraise £500 towards the cost of their place. We’ll give you tips and support to reach your target. 

This role is perfect for someone with a caring nature who’d enjoy combining meaningful support with time to ski and share in a truly special adventure. You’ll be part of a supportive volunteer team making the trip possible for our passengers, while also having time to enjoy the slopes, the spa, and the group’s activities.

We welcome anyone who is passionate about disability equality and willing to support our work! You must be over 18 years old. You will need to feel comfortable working in a large busy warehouse environment and be able to lift and carry items, although we have a forklift truck to assist with heavier items.

Other volunteers are interested in our training and development opportunities. Some people join us to meet new people and make friends. The Nicolson Street shop is a modern, contemporary and urban street store, unlike any other charity shop you've ever seen - full of vintage treasures, gorgeous greenery and creativity!

Our Nicolson Street Shop Volunteers are in the middle of it all, and there’s plenty to get involved with. You might be sorting and pricing stock, engaging with customers, ringing items through the till, creating fantastic window displays or keeping our shop floor looking organised.

It’s up to you how much you commit. We have volunteers who support for a couple of hours a week and some do more. Many people volunteer either a morning or an afternoon each week - this is something that will be discussed at the selection stage, after you’ve applied.

We know that our shop teams are stronger when they are inclusive and representative of their communities. Everybody can make a real difference. People come to us for all sorts of reasons, from all backgrounds, and we will do what we can to find a role that works for you.

What happens next?

After you’ve filled in an application, we will invite you for an informal trial shift. It’s a great opportunity to visit the shop, meet some of our existing volunteers and have a go at some of the tasks that you would be supporting with as a shop volunteer. Hopefully allowing you to get a feel for the role and make sure it’s for you. We also ask for a couple of references (these don’t have to be formal workplace ones, just someone who has known you for over 6 months and isn’t related).

We're on the lookout for founding Trustees to join our team and help us launch something incredible!

We're not your average charity. We're a new youth-led movement focused on getting young people off their screens and into real-life adventures. Our mission is to spark discovery, forge friendships, and build a positive community for 11-19 year olds across London. From exciting workshops to epic outdoor activities, we're all about creating unforgettable memories and helping young people thrive.

We want every young person who comes through our doors to leave with more confidence, better social skills, and the tools they need to succeed in life. This is your chance to be part of something that will change lives for years to come.

As a startup, we need committed, passionate people to help us shape our vision from the ground up. You don't need any prior experience - we believe that a mix of fresh perspectives and diverse skills is what makes a team strong. We just need your energy, dedication, and a desire to make a difference.

Your Mission as a Trustee

This is more than just a volunteer role. You'll be instrumental in laying the groundwork for a charity that will become a cherished part of London's community. You'll join a team of up to eight trustees and help with everything from strategy to governance.

• Time: We ask for a minimum of 3 hours per month, including five board meetings a year. At times arranged to suit the Trustees.

• Location: Meetings are a mix of online and in-person in London.

• Term: Appointments are for an initial three-year term.
