Strategy Manager

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Strategy Manager to join their team in London, Delhi or Accra. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.   

The Strategy Manager is responsible for supporting the Senior Leadership Team in the shaping, reviewing and refining of CAF’s strategy at all levels. Specifically, the role will manage the development of CAF’s organisational strategy for 2027-2030 and work with CAF’s portfolio leads to develop and refresh CAF’s thematic and geographic portfolio-level strategies. Beyond strategy work, the role will also support the external engagement and thought leadership of the CEO as well as cross-organisational priorities. This role combines strategic thinking, research and analysis, communicating complex information simply, and effective project and stakeholder management. 

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience; 

• Strategy development – experience managing rigorous strategy development processes grounded in evidence and with effective stakeholder engagement.

People’s Palace Projects (PPP) is a research-led arts charity based at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and a National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) of Arts Council England (ACE). Job Description 

• Title: General Manager
• Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week (0.6FTE)

Key Objectives 

• To lead on the Financial Accounting & Management, Human Resources, and Administration functions of People’s Palace Projects (PPP), working closely with the Directors and A&FO. 

• To support the operations of PPP’s Board of Trustees, including managing the business planning process. 

• To manage statistical monitoring and funder reporting. 

• To contribute to PPP’s overall strategic development as a member of the Governance Group (senior management team).

Job description and person specification

Service delivery

• Lead the day-to-day management of Ella’s safe houses, and outreach services

• Ensure all caseworkers provide high-quality, holistic support tailored to each woman’s needs

• Ensure casework systems are used consistently and effectively across the team

• Oversee accurate and timely completion of risk assessments, support plans, and case notes

• Provide emotional support and hands-on casework guidance where needed

• Coordinate referrals and ensure women are welcomed into the service with care and dignity

• Lead regular reviews of support plans to ensure women are progressing through recovery stages

• Ensure a smooth and responsive referral process into Ella’s services

• Ensure all data is kept up to date for monitoring, evaluation, safeguarding, and reporting purposes

• Contribute service data to support funding applications and impact reporting

• Provide regular service updates to the Head of Services and contribute to strategic conversations

Volunteer coordination

• Induct, train and oversee social work students and/or interns placed within the home

• Ensure relevant policies and procedures are upheld by self, all volunteers and visitors who come into contact with survivors

• Adhere to and ensure all students and interns have a good knowledge of Ella’s casework management forms and recording systems and oversee the consistent use of these

Safeguarding & health and safety

• Act as Safeguarding Lead for frontline services

• Manage all safeguarding concerns in line with Ella’s policies and procedures

• Work with the Head of Services and Safeguarding Trustee to strengthen safeguarding culture and processes

• Promote a safe working environment for staff and service users, including regular risk assessments

• Ensure all frontline staff are trained and confident in safeguarding procedures

Team management

• Provide line management, supervision, and ongoing support to accommodation and outreach caseworkers.

Service development and partnerships

Location: Based within the residential service in West Ealing. Unfortunately this service does not have step free access.

Salary: £30,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rota working 09:00 - 17:00, you may also be required to work weekends, evenings, and bank holidays. You will also take part in our out of hours on call rota for managers.

About the role

This is a great opportunity for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Ealing. You will support the Service Manager in leading a service which provides a recovery focused service to adults with long term mental health challenges. You will support the team to deliver person centred support to improve the lives of our residents, for them to gain greater independence to move onto lower support accommodation. You will do this through providing direct leadership and line management to the team so they feel empowered to perform within their roles. 

You will ensure a quality service is delivered in line with our contractual requirements, and will encourage the creation of a psychologically informed environment, which provides person centred support. Some of what the role includes:

• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle

This role is a key member of a small staff team at the Girlguiding North West England Region Office, which is led by the Executive Manager. The Baobab Centre provides rehabilitation support to young asylum seekers and refugees who have experienced human rights abuses. Baobab provides psychotherapy, casework and advocacy as well as a wider range of community activities.

Key Responsibilities

The Role

Westway Trust are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children Services Manager with a track record of managing a Good or Outstanding Oftsed rated Early Years’ service, who will be committed to supporting and enhancing the lives of children in the North Kensington community.

This role is key to positioning the Trust as a provider of affordable, vital and culturally appropriate services.  Reporting to the Senior Manager Learning, you will lead and manage on all aspects of the Trust’s nursery and crèche services, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements are met.  You will manage a team of full and part-time staff and will build strong partnerships with families and the local community. You will be a confident communicator working closely with statutory regulators, commissioners, partners and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

• Manage the staff team to deliver the Nursery and Crèche services.
• Liaison with all relevant members of staff to ensure maximising the team’s opportunities for employment, personal and professional development and organisational engagement.
• Develop, monitor and review activities to ensure high standards of childcare and learning.
• Quality assure and develop and improve services to maintain and improve our Ofsted position.
• Attend budget planning with the finance team to ensure a full understanding of the budget; good budget management and a strong out-turn in line with the growth strategy.
• Keep appropriate records of all children and account for their social and individual developmental needs.
• Monitor and report against the delivery objectives of the service providing observation and feedback to Nursery and Crèche workers so that they can improve their own direct planning and delivery and qualifications.
• Provide data as required for reporting internally to your line manager and through the Trusts Governance, and externally.

Qualification:

• Relevant qualification in childcare at a minimum Level 4. 
• Safeguarding (desirable)

Knowledge and Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience of managing a Nursery with experience of all the relevant duties, monitoring, reporting and quality improvement.
• Experience of being the main contact for Ofsted. 
• A track record of working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to develop successful partnerships, growth, and achieve joint success.
• Strong experience of planning ahead, scheduling, attention to detail and problem solving.
• Experience of managing staff and supporting their development.
• Experience of managing resources and budgets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience of writing reports.
• Knowledge of Safeguarding.
• Experience of delivering a service that demonstrates an understanding of different cultures.
• An understanding of the issues facing North Kensington and a track record of working alongside beneficiary communities (desirable)

Project Indigo Lead

We have been running a weekly LGBTQIA+ youth group since 2012, and have since developed our offer to include 1-to-1 key work sessions, and more recently, 1-to-1 specialist therapy, and a mentoring training programme. We are proud to be a LGBTQIA+ led and youth-centred service, creating a safe and welcoming space for young LGBTQIA+ to meet each other, try new things, and get support and advice on issues impacting them.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader for our transformative LGBTQIA+ youth project. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in LGBTQIA+ young people’s lives, leading a dedicated and passionate team.

Main Responsibilities:

• To lead on planning and facilitating group sessions, activities and trips for the Project Indigo group. Planning to incorporate the views and interests of members and develop opportunities for partnership working.
• Managerial responsibilities, including line management, budget management, monitoring and evaluation
• Developing and delivering strategic projects within the City and Hackney CAMHS Alliance to promote LGBTQIA+ inclusivity

Main Requirements:

• Strong experience in LGBTQIA+ youth work, and understanding intersecting social issues impacting young LGBTQIA+ people
• Understanding of best practice for supporting young LGBTQIA+ people and promoting LGBTQIA+ inclusivity within youth services
• Management experience on multi-faceted projects; strong leadership skills, ability to take initiative, and work effectively to manage competing priorities
