JOB PURPOSE

To improve the provision of consistent high-quality debt advice, enhancing the experience of clients, by working collaboratively with delivery suppliers, to support them in implementing improvement activities, and in assessing and monitoring the quality of debt advice.

To support the implementation and ongoing facilitation of project quality assurance and improvement processes, working collaboratively with the EMMA management team to inform and support contract compliance and performance management activities.

To identify good practice and share learning with delivery suppliers, and across roles within MaPS and across all funded services to support improvement and development of advice services.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver individual strategic projects/business plan objectives for the team

Work with debt advice providers on an individual basis to improve the provision of consistent and high-quality debt advice, by supporting suppliers to implement improvement activities, and to assess and monitor the performance of their advisers and debt advice service overall to ensure that the quality of debt advice is improved where required, maintained and provided in accordance with regulation, project requirements, best practice, and agreed standards.  This includes:

• Working in collaboration with suppliers to make tailored recommendations and providing feedback to improve the quality of debt advice and client experience in a delivery supplier as appropriate, and identify good practice, where applicable

• Measuring and analysing information gathered against risk ratings, quality frameworks and standards and liaising with delivery suppliers to agree improvement action plans using the results of assessments and analysis

• Liaising with delivery suppliers about the practical arrangements required to carry out the monitoring of their work and improvement plans and ensure understanding of the service improvement process

• Supporting, where appropriate, the implementation of any follow on/corrective action following the assessment and /or support visits/file reviews.

Support participants internal and external quality assurance, quality related grant requirements and quality improvement schemes by:

• Ensuring delivery partners and advisers understand the objectives of the service and quality requirements.

• Facilitating the smooth application of the quality improvement process as required by LCALC and/ or the funder including writing guidance documents, regular liaison with the delivery suppliers and answering ad hoc queries.

Project compliance and quality requirements are achieved by:

• Ensuring delivery suppliers have a good awareness and understanding of the quality and service delivery requirements through communications and active involvement in the delivery of EMMA events related to quality improvement.

• Providing support and advice to delivery suppliers and other internal colleagues on the quality requirements and service delivery standards.

• Escalating risks promptly and appropriately.

• Providing support with delivery and quality compliance and performance management activities, including active involvement in performance enhancement plans as appropriate.

• Contributing to the design of monitoring and reporting processes.

• Respond to requests from delivery suppliers for support with quality matters and proactively encourage delivery suppliers to engage with quality improvement activities.

• Ensure that work undertaken reflects and supports equality and diversity.

Support the implementation of best practice systems and processes

Implement best practice systems and processes to ensure the development and improvement of delivery and advice services, including:

• Providing reports and/or data on trends, compliance, and quality.

• Liaising with colleagues to identify key learning points and delivery issues, to inform the development of EMMA.

• Identifying training and development needs within delivery suppliers, and work with colleagues and MaPS to improve the quality of advice services.

• Facilitate the sharing of learning and good practice identified through quality assurance and service improvement across EMMA delivery partners.

• Support delivery partners to maintain systems and processes for service delivery, management and improvement to ensure effective and consistent delivery of the quality of debt advice work.

• Support the development and/or updating of content for information systems.

Maintain expertise and insight

• Manage your own day to day activities to deliver tasks on time and to the required standard while gaining experience of the work of the Quality Team and maintaining expertise in debt advice.

• Be proactive in identifying external and internal contacts to inform activity to improve service delivery.

• Advise managers on recent developments in field of work.

• Undertake research and analysis in field of work.

Contribute to team

• Be an active member of the Quality Team, identifying opportunities for your own development.

• Provide regular updates to the Quality Manager regarding partners quality and processes.

•  Contribute to the good and efficient working of the team in delivering against the business plan.

•  Work in collaboration with MaPS and its funded organisations, working with other quality roles contributing to key projects, meetings and Supervisor Forums.

You’ll join our cross-functional Product & Engineering team to build and improve the digital platforms that teachers and pupils rely on every day. As Social Media Coordinator, you will live and breathe all things social media, understanding its potential contribution to achieving our mission.

Who you are:

You are passionate about The Humane League’s mission of ending the abuse of animals raised for food. With an attention to detail and strong written and verbal communications skills in English, you’ll have a keen eye for persuasive and punchy copy and an ability to adapt your tone of voice.

You’ll be able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that you meet deadlines and communicate internally.

You’ll have experience of digging into the data, using analytics to assess results, gain learnings, and action those learnings to improve channel performance. You understand what audiences want to see from different channels, and how to get cut through and reach attention on each one.

You are a whizz with editing tools and can create compelling, dynamic video and static content that hooks people in and keeps them watching.

You’ll be comfortable reacting to opportunities nimbly and being proactive in looking for stories to tell about our work, seeing every interaction as an opportunity. 

You’ll be willing to be the face of the organisation on social media, ensuring that you have a good working knowledge of our issues and campaigns in order to motivate support for them.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ownership of our social media channels; regularly testing, creating, and posting content that is tailored to each platform, using each channel’s features to maximise impact towards our goals.

• Planning and building social media campaigns that strategically integrate goals and consider metrics.

• Updating the communications calendar.

• Create inspiring concepts and develop these into compelling, on-brand, platform-specific content using tools like Canva and Adobe Express.

• Social media community management including moderating and responding to comments and messages to ensure people feel valued, engaged, and we are building strong relationships with supporters and potential supporters.

• Regularly monitoring social trends to create topical content.

As an organisation we work a four day work week. This is a full time position of 30 hours per week over Monday to Thursday.

To support our mission, the National Youth Agency is establishing a framework of Programme Associates to assist with the delivery of our work across England.

Appointment to the framework means you may be invited to contribute to projects that align with your expertise. However, inclusion on the framework does not guarantee work will be offered, nor does it imply a specific volume or frequency of engagements. Opportunities will be offered on a flexible, as-needed basis, depending on programme requirements and your availability.

Our NYA Programme Associates will deliver on key aspect of NYA programmes to external stakeholders, develop and review resources and ensure all activities are in line with both NYA and external expectations of quality and expertise.

The post will require a commitment to continuing engagement across the sector and beyond to ensure the NYA’s work is rooted in the needs of young people and youth work.

The NYA brings structure, expertise, support, and guidance to people working in and with youth work and helps shape professional and voluntary youth work practices in England and beyond.

We operate as an agile and flexible team, working at pace to maximise the opportunities that we have to make a difference to youth work and the lives of young people. We are collaborative in our approaches, engaging partner organisations to widen our knowledge and expertise in our aim to support youth sector across England.

Our ideal Programme Associates should have the following:

• Extensive experience working directly with young people across diverse settings, demonstrating a deep understanding of youth development and engagement.
• Demonstrated expertise managing youth work programmes and improving practice standards, including within Local Authority contexts.
• Project Management: Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Problem solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Flexibility: A flexible and agile approach to working across multiple programmes, including attending events and responding to time sensitive deadlines.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Time Management: Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

 is to help children and young people have a fair chance to be who they want to be. We do this by providing a safe home, increasing life skills and self-confidence, and improving emotional wellbeing and mental health.

 is a 29-bed medium-low supported accommodation for young people between the ages of 16-25 that is staffed 24/7. We have a dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Support Workers and additional Bank Workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs and relationship building. Situated in the centre of Worthing, the service has strong links with and contributes to the local community.

Each Support Worker holds a caseload of residents and meets with them weekly to build a support plan and help them achieve their goals.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Worthing Foyer team. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing:

• Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living
• Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team

Coaching and Engagement:

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community 
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance)

General:

• Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
• Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations
• Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice

Experience and Knowledge:

• Experience relating to housing, support work, and/or working with young people at risk
• Experience of working proactively with a caseload of young people with multiple and complex needs to enable them to achieve independent living
• Knowledge of statutory and voluntary resources available to young people with multiple and complex needs
• Knowledge of good safeguarding procedures in relation to young people and the ability to maintain effective professional boundaries
• Demonstrated confidence and competence in recording notes/actions in service log, incident forms and health and safety check lists

Skills and Abilities: 

• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing for appropriate recording of a resident’s progression, and to evidence outcomes achieved
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including signposting and advocating for clients as necessary
• Ability to work autonomously, and use own initiative, as well as being part of a team
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, good IT, and keyboard skills
• Ability to de-escalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour appropriately
