About the role
The Exchange is seeking an experienced, talented and driven Venue Hire Manager to maximise venue hire income for The Exchange with responsibility for all aspects of hire events.
Situated in the Thames-side town of Erith, The Exchange is dedicated to creating opportunities for people to come together and celebrate life, craft, and community. Ideally located on the border of London and Kent, The Exchange is a perfect venue to attract guests, offering them something unique and memorable in intimate and unique surroundings. Our aspiration is to develop a craft focused venue hire programme, where every detail has been carefully thought through, leading to unique and inspirational experiences – this will be the role of the new Venue Hire Manager.
Principle Duties:
- Venue Hire Management: Lead for all hire enquiries and bookings from initial conversations through to event delivery and after-care.
- Sales and Business Development: Proactively drive venue hire sales, convert enquiries, and reach budgeted targets, working to develop opportunities with current, returning, and prospective clients. To be conversant with the wider sector, benchmarking against competitor spaces, engaged with external networks and leading on venue hire promotion and marketing opportunities.
- Administration: lead and maintain all enquiries and bookings, communication with internal colleagues to optimise event delivery before, during and after, and develop and maintain accurate monitoring and evaluation reporting.
- Customer Service: provide exceptional service to all event hirers and suppliers with a professional, efficient, and welcoming attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively research and reach-out to new business hire opportunities, exploring new creative opportunities to optimise use of the building and garden, regularly benchmarking The Exchange pricing and proposition.
- Promoting the location through a variety of marketing channels such as social media.
- Responsibility for all venue hires from enquiry to bookings to on-the-day and after care. This includes supervision and scheduling of duty managers, tending to any incidents or queries, liaising with catering services and supervising their requirements and logistics, building security.
- Negotiate and agree venue hire events including final contracts, invoicing, and scheduling.
- Ensure excellent communication with all colleagues to ensure smooth event procedures and positive client outcomes, including cleaning and organising the venue and facilities pre and post event.
- Develop and maintain systems for monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of hire events in context of budget targets and for improving customer service and repeat business.
- Establish best practice procedures and protocol for wide range of clients e.g. private, corporate, charity.
- Develop excellent supplier relationships e.g. event planners, caterers, local companies – to build and promote opportunities to hire spaces and develop a beneficial ‘approved suppliers’ list.
- Operating within rigorous H&S and security frameworks, including taking responsibility for opening and locking up, final building checks.

About the Role
As Senior Stewardship and Events Manager, you will be leading on the creation of ambitious funding propositions which will be attractive to high value donors and funders, working with key stakeholders from across the organisation to fully understand our existing services and transformational projects; translating complex information into compelling cases for support to be used by our High Value Partnerships team in funding applications, pitches and proposals. You will work closely with Recovery Services, Data and Insights and Finance teams to ensure all relevant information is gathered and reporting and evaluation processes are in place.
Working with your team and the wider High Value Partnerships team you will develop a special events programme to support engagement and fundraising, as well as leading on the development of developing engaging and relevant donor and prospect communications. Key Objectives for the Elders Core Service Manager Role:

Communities Manager

Our expectations for our new Communities Manager are high. Reporting to our Executive Director and part of a small, friendly, and growing team. You will be responsible for supporting communities in London to develop new genuinely and permanently affordable community-led housing; the development and implementation of our approach to the residents we serve, including allocations, management, resale, and stewardship; supporting local community steering groups building relationships, supporting groups and local leaders, and coordinating the implementation of our social impact strategy.
This position also offers a real opportunity to contribute to the future direction of London CLT. Requiring an exceptional individual with a deeply held conviction for and in support of participation and grassroots-led ideas for change, a successful track record of leading or participating in successful community-led campaigns, and excellent interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to build relationships and exert influence over a diverse range of stakeholders and deliver results.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide clinical leadership and supervision to a number of therapeutic services within Richmond Borough Mind. Our developed and respected Psychotherapy and Counselling Service has been providing long-term counselling interventions to local residents since 1988. The service is self-funded and offers a range of therapies which aim to provide individuals with the support and opportunity to work through their difficulties in depth with a skilled and experienced trainee or fully qualified therapist. Sliding scale rates are offered to make sure that we are accessible to all. We also run a number of therapeutic, psychoeducational, support and peer-led one to one sessions and groups, training workshops and other activities.
We are looking for a skilled and qualified (or in advance training) counselling supervisor to provide clinical supervision, leadership, management and service development of our Psychotherapy and Counselling service. Knowledge and understanding of a number of modalities would be an asset. Part of the role will be to help us achieve and maintain BACP or equivalent service accreditation and to grow the service.
As well as having an empathy with the core values of RB Mind, the successful applicant will be a confident and versatile communicator with outstanding relationship-building, organisational and problem-solving skills, and have the ability to provide empathy and guided support to staff, volunteer counsellors, administrators and clients. You will be supported by senior management colleagues and gain a rich experience of low, moderate and more complex cases.

With a small yet promising portfolio of supporters and donors, they are poised for growth, fuelled by a national rise in wealth and philanthropy. Annual income is around £500K with donations typically at 5 figure values.
The ambition is to grow the programme sustainably in the long term but also ensure the target is met in 2024-25. This year will be about proactive engagement with a wide range of potential supporters, developing programme infrastructure and securing mid-value donations to build the pipeline from the ground up. In year two they hope to drive up gift volume and value.
The Senior Philanthropy Manager will line manage the Philanthropy Officer, supporting their development and fostering an overall culture of collaboration and high performance. The role will also personally cultivate and steward relationships with new and existing major donors, and work collaboratively on a programme of stewardship and cultivation events.

About you
We are seeking candidates with experience in managing the development, production and delivery of web content and digital products, including e-learning resources, videos, podcasts, and images, for a high traffic and information rich website.
The successful candidate will have experience of implementing a digital-first strategy which supports and refines customer-focused outputs. You will be versed in content management systems (e.g. WordPress), information architecture, and user-experience (UX) design as it pertains to effective usability and accessibility. You will have experience of the daily operation and fluid maintenance of a large website and platform that works for our audiences and supports our wider business development aims of generating interest and sales in SCIE’s products and services.
You will have experience of managing external contractors (e.g. designers, photographers, illustrators, developers, etc.) as well as using tools like Google Analytics (GA4) and Hotjar, and understanding how web statistics and user feedback collection and analysis can help us engage with our audiences better.
You will understand the digital needs of a wide range of SCIE’s stakeholders, including for example, people with visual impairments and people with learning disabilities, and how to ensure that our digital products and web content work for all audiences.
