To be considered you will require:

• CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent)

About the role

The Safety & Assurance Officer (SAO) is an employee of the MSSC and a member of the MSSC National Safety Assurance Team (NSAT). This is a home-based role, with a primary focus on the Southern area, predominantly the South-East. The SAO will report to the Head of Safety, Health, and Environment.

The SAO will work closely with other SAOs and will be functionally accountable to:

The Head of Inshore Boating for inshore boat assurance
The Staff Royal Marines Officer for weapons and ammunition safety and security assurance

The role requires regular travel within the area of responsibility and, on occasion within the UK. It will involve evening and some weekend work to fulfil the role’s responsibilities.

Requirements

Qualifications: Good general education and NEBOSH (or equivalent), with completion required during probation if not already held.
Safety & Environmental Management: Experience implementing safety and environmental management systems, conducting risk assessments, and working within formal assurance frameworks.
Incident Management: Experience managing, investigating, and reporting incidents.
Training & Support: Ability to deliver training, guidance, and support to non-specialist staff or volunteers on safety, health, environmental, and assurance matters.
Workload & Volunteer Management: Proven ability to manage a busy workload and effectively support and manage volunteers.

Responsibilities

Join the Marine Society & Sea Cadets as a Safety and Assurance Officer, ensuring the highest standards of safety, health, environment (SHE), and operational compliance across our units and facilities.
You’ll lead assurance inspections, maintain compliance with legislation and organisational regulations, and support the safe management of weapons, armouries, and inshore boating activities. Working closely with other members of the National Safety and Assurance Team (NSAT) and Area teams, you’ll oversee safety at events, camps, and competitions, conduct audits, and monitor incident reporting.
This role plays a vital part in upholding the safety and welfare of our cadets and volunteers through proactive assurance, training, and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Corporate Treasurer, this role will implement all aspects of corporate treasury policy, processes, controls, analysis and investment strategies including cash management, financing and investment activities, risk management, and loss prevention. The interim Treasury Manager will build relationships with banks and will identify ways to improve in-country banking and repatriation of cash, including liquidity, cash forecasting, and debt management.

For over 15 years, Scotty's Little Soldiers has been supporting children and young people who have been bereaved of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces.  We are about to embark on an exciting journey which will see the charity evolve to support anyone affected by a military-connected bereavement and ultimately empower a community of more than 25,000 bereaved individuals and their families by 2035.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the delivery of advanced analytics solutions across our digital platforms, ensuring accurate, actionable insights that drive fundraising and engagement.
• Owning and evolving our website tagging infrastructure, including server-side tracking.
• Collaborating with teams across Marketing, Insights, and Technology to shape solutions that meet campaign goals and enhance user experience.
• Translating strategic marketing objectives into robust analytics frameworks that enable performance tracking and optimisation.
• Championing the importance of digital tracking across the organisation, building understanding and respect for its role in our mission.
• Safeguarding the integrity of our tracking systems during website development and campaign rollouts.
• Partnering with engineers to design data capture solutions that fuel smarter targeting and reporting.
• Working closely with our Analytics & Reporting Manager to optimise our GA4 setup.

What are we looking for?

• Experience working on large and complex digital analytics and tracking solutions
• Deep understanding of modern website applications (Next.js, JavaScript, DOM)
• Deep understanding of how web browsers work and data flows, is captured and processed
• High data literacy to query the data collected
• Understanding of data privacy and how what we track means to a user
• Expert knowledge of marketing tags including wider strategy, implementation and data policy (Google Marketing Platform, Paid Social, Display, Email)
• Strong stakeholder managements and able to articulate simple marketing requirements to complex technical solutions.
• An understanding of marketing data limitations and best practices e.g. attribution to be able to advise on correct reporting implementation and targeting
• Significant experience implementing and using Google Analytics reporting features including filters, goals, custom reports, segments and Ecommerce
• Solid understanding of different digital marketing channel targeting methodologies and corresponding measurement tools to inform tracking solutions
• Significant experience of providing solutions designed for use by nontechnical end users.

The Senior Digital Marketing & Participation Manager will lead the AMA’s marketing and participation strategy, to build financial growth, visibility, and engagement through co-creation with our community of members. As Scientific and Patient Information Manager, you will work in the Medical Education and Scientific Engagement Team at Myeloma Patients Europe (MPE). Under the Department Head and MPE Leadership Team, collaborating with the Head of Communications, you will oversee the following projects and activities: 

Patient information and communications management (Approx. 55%)

A key role of MPE is providing up-to-date, comprehensive, and patient friendly educational materials and tools for our members and the patient community, as well as communicating about scientific advances in myeloma and AL amyloidosis. This role will be responsible for working across MPE to develop a patient information and educational plan and develop and deliver resources. MPE expects the appointed person to:

• Perform efficient scientific watch (monitoring advancements in research and clinical development)
• Lead the development and implementation of a patient information plan based on member and patient needs, scientific advances and cross-department projects
• Monitor the readership and usage of MPE patient information materials, incorporating website user analytics and feedback from users to increase the reach and impact of the department
• Research, write, and develop patient information and educational materials (including factsheets, Q&As, webinars and infographics). Manage the execution of materials from development through to publication in coordination with Department Head, other MPE departments, and external stakeholders (key opinion leaders, industry, researchers, proofreaders etc.)
• Work with the MPE Communications Team to develop website news stories, e-Newsletter and social media content related to clinical and scientific updates. This will include planning new and innovative ways of disseminating scientific and medical information to patients
• Attending (in person and/or virtually) scientific congresses and developing conference and scientific meeting summaries, organising post-conference webinars for patients in collaboration with the Communication Team

European Myeloma and AL Amyloidosis Clinical Trial Navigator Management (Approximately 35%)

MPE has developed an online clinical trial search tool of European myeloma and AL amyloidosis clinical trials for patients and advocates. This role will be responsible for the management, improvement, and promotion of this core MPE programme, with a focus on ensuring the tool and content is patient friendly, including:

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate database of all industry and academic recruiting myeloma, AL amyloidosis, MGUS, and smouldering myeloma clinical trials in Europe
• Write and format lay / patient friendly clinical trial descriptions for the Navigator website
• Liaise with industry and academic clinical trial sponsors, clinical trial sites, and other stakeholders to maintain database up-to-date
• Liaise with web developers to manage the Navigator website, make enhancements, and fix technical issues
• Oversee implementation of translated materials in multiple languages
• Elicit feedback from patients, family members, clinicians and other stakeholders to ensure continued improvement and enhancements
• Manage website news and content

Other 10% 

• Staff meetings, annual events, support the rest of the team with clinical and scientific information, answer inquiries from patients, carers and MPE members.

About you

Essential

• A Bachelor’s or a Master’ s degree in a relevant scientific field
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience
• Demonstrable experience (and tested during the interview process) of writing and communicating scientific/complex information for lay audiences across different media
• Ability to understand, critically read and process complex scientific information (from clinical trials, scientific papers, conference talks etc) – and communicating about this in lay, patient friendly language
• Excellent capacity for analysis and communicating (verbally and in writing) clearly for a range of different audiences
• Demonstrable project management experience
• Excellent level of both written and spoken English
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to lead and work independently on assigned tasks and take appropriate initiatives
• Confidence in representing an organisation in meetings with external stakeholders at all levels
• Good networking abilities
• Rigorous work methods and high attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and curiosity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Desirable

• Knowledge of clinical development and how drugs are brought to market for patients
• Knowledge of myeloma and AL amyloidosis and/or immuno-oncology or other relevant field

• Advanced degree (PhD) in a relevant topic

About the Role

A stimulating and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Practitioner Psychologist with a Forensic background. You will work alongside the Group Psychological Lead and other members of the team within our Independent Approved Premises (IAP) to deliver psychological services to residents and staff. In this role, you will apply your skills and knowledge in building new teams and expand our operational delivery within our IAP. You will play a strategic role in our organisational growth with new services, with a focus on shaping service delivery; offering specialist advice, supervising assistant psychologists and postgraduate research.

Our IAP's support people who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. They are given support and guidance to aid their reablement, resettlement and rehabilitation post prison. You will contribute towards them achieving goals necessary for their personal development and move on within the community. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Providing high quality psychological services, contributing to the delivery of Approved Premises aims as specified by the Ministry of Justice.
• Ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics.
• Demonstrating clinical leadership by setting direction for the psychological service and driving high standards for quality, safety and ongoing improvement.
• Exercising clinical responsibility for residents’ psychological care, showing skill and judgement in selecting appropriate assessments and interventions.
• Consulting with other parties contributing to a resident’s diagnosis, formulation, treatment and risk management in the community.
• Create opportunities to collaborate with peers including AP-based psychologists nationally and OPD pathway psychologists delivering services to APs.
