Our step-change in impact with children will be achieved by a step-change in our philanthropy & partnerships: as our new Senior Prospect Research Manager you'll take a crucial role in this transformation through strategic development and delivery of the full Philanthropy Programme prospect identification and pipeline management framework to enable high quality research, cultivation, stewardship of high value philanthropists and partners in support of TCS

In order to be successful in this role, you must have: 

-Extensive knowledge and understanding of Philanthropy audiences (particularly high net worth individuals and corporates) including motivations for giving and the principles of major gift fundraising to include identification, research, solicitation and stewardship

-Strong track record of successful performance as a prospect/fundraising researcher, including experience conducting due diligence within the not-for-profit sector

-Excellent written and presentation skills and confident ability to deliver verbal and written proposals up to CEO / Board level

-Excellent knowledge of legal, regulatory and ethical environment of philanthropy fundraising, including General Data Protection Regulation

Role Purpose

The Policy and Impact Team sits at the heart of Volunteering Matters. We play a vital role in demonstrating the impact of our work connecting data, qualitative insight, and lived experience to the policy agendas shaping communities across the UK. Through storytelling, analysis, and evidence, we make sure volunteering is recognised as a driving force for social change.

We are a small, hands-on team. You will be involved in every aspect of our work from desk-based research and writing briefings to organising external meetings and working directly in communities alongside our volunteers.  You will help bring our five-year strategy to life by linking project outcomes to broader societal developments and showcasing the impact of volunteers and communities.

Key Duties Responsibilities

· Support the Head of Policy and Impact to coordinate Volunteering Matters’ policy and public affairs work.

· Support people involved with our volunteering projects to engage with local politicians, e.g. by organising visits to projects or meetings with volunteers. 

· Monitor and respond to opportunities (e.g. relevant government consultations, All-Party Parliamentary Group inquiries or Select Committee inquiries) that are relevant to Volunteering Matters’ priorities.

Reporting to the Head of Individual Giving and Legacy Marketing, you will lead the development and implementation of Barnardo's Legacy Marketing Strategy, with a focus on growing the number of legacy pledgers and intenders, delivering exceptional stewardship, and embedding legacy giving across the organisation. 

You'll also play a key role in developing a long-term growth strategy for In Memory Giving, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver inspiring and engaging supporter experiences. 

 Key Responsibilities 

• Lead the development and delivery of a long-term Legacy Marketing Strategy to grow income from gifts in wills and in-memory giving. 

• Manage a team of legacy marketing professionals and oversee a budget of approximately £600k, with an income target of £240k. 

• Design and implement sector-leading stewardship journeys for legacy audiences. 

• Collaborate across fundraising, marketing, and supporter care teams to integrate legacy messaging and supporter journeys.

Your Day-to-Day

As Service Manager, you’ll:
• Establish and embed the Advice Triage (OFD) model for public launch in March 2026

• Oversee inbound query management across all contact channels

A well-established organisation in London is looking to take on a Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner for a 6 months temp to perm opportunity.  The company has a big impact on its tenants and creates an inspiring, inclusive place to work.

They are looking to bring someone into their collaborative team who comes from a Housing / Property background with experience in leading on Management Accounting and Business Partnering. 

Responsibilities:

• Providing management accounts to agreed deadlines, including key financial information 
• Carrying out financial analysis and presenting findings, and business partner with budget holders to support in commercial decision making
• Assist with rolling cash flow forecasts and support with relevant journals for management accounts
• Support on the development of the annual budget and adhoc requirements around year end audit

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant with 2/3 years minimum post qualification experience
• Housing or Property experience, ideally within a Management Accounting / Business Partnering role
• Proficient with excel, has used a variety of finance packages and understands accounting principles 
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders

In order to be successful in this role, you must have: 

-Strong knowledge and successful track record delivering significant income through personal approaches, liaising with philanthropists and personally securing and building senior volunteer networks

-Expert knowledge of major donor methodology with experience of developing powerful and impactful cases for support, giving proposals and asks of major donors.

-Proven experience of personally meeting income targets and delivering against stewardship and repeat giving objectives, activities, implementation, and risk mitigation plans

-Knowledge of legal, regulatory and ethical environment of major gift fundraising

Position Overview

The Team Administrator is responsible for providing efficient, organised and proactive administrative support to the CEO, as well as supporting the wider team across a number of administrative areas.

The role holder will also liaise with partners, Chapters, grant funders and a range of other interested partners and collaborators, on behalf of the CEO, working seamlessly with their job share partner.

Main Duties

Executive Assistant support

Work closely with the CEO and job share partner to provide comprehensive administrative support to the CEO, ensuring the smooth running of CEO’s  office and that secretarial and other administrative work is produced to a high standard and within set deadlines.

● Manage the CEO’s diary,  balancing competing priorities and understanding the need for the degree of flexibility that is required within a busy schedule

● Arrange meetings and make travel arrangements, drawing up itineraries, arranging accommodation and liaising with host organisations within the UK and overseas as necessary.

● Prepare, organise, and manage documents and presentations for meetings, ensuring timely distribution and follow-up

● Act as a key liaison between the CEO and external stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times

● Handle sensitive information and deal with complex requests and enquiries, exercising discretion and sound judgement

● Organise and coordinate internal and external meetings (in-person and online) involving the CEO and support her attendance at external meetings, events, and conferences in the UK and abroad (including travel and accommodation arrangements), ensuring the CEO’s schedule runs efficiently

● Draft and proofread correspondence, reports, and other documents as required.

● Maintain and update digital filing systems and databases, ensuring accurate record-keeping

● Responsible for monitoring the admin inbox, assessing and, responding as needing, and escalating matters as appropriate

● Order consumables and other items as required in line with the Expenses Policy, ensuring costs are within budget

● Coordinate travel and hotel arrangements

● Support the Community and Engagement team by providing administrative support for branding and trademarking registrations.

● Take minutes and circulate along with resulting action points as needed

● Assist with projects, including research, data entry, and preparing reports

● Provide administrative support to the annual report process, working with the Project Manager

● Provide cover for other members of the administrative team during absences, as needed

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties. The role holder may be asked to take on different tasks as required. All employees are expected to work collaboratively to support the overall work of the Initiative.

The role holder will be required to work on-site, the working pattern is to be agreed with the hiring managers but currently expected to be Wednesday to Friday weekly.

Given the global nature of the Initiative, the role may require some flexibility on working hours outside of standard office hours, although it is not anticipated that the role holder will need to travel outside of the UK.
