The Senior Immigration Solicitor (Violence Against Women and Girls & Migrant Justice) will lead on complex immigration casework and strategic legal interventions, with a particular focus on supporting Black, minoritised, and migrant (BMM) women affected by violence against women and girls (VAWG), especially those with insecure immigration status or no recourse to public funds (NRPF).

This is a senior role requiring a high degree of professional autonomy, decision-making, and initiative. While the postholder will be formally accountable to the Head of Community Engagement and Legal Services, they will operate with minimal day-to-day supervision, taking a lead in shaping casework strategy, driving systemic change, and strengthening SBS’s legal offer.

Main Responsibilities:

The role involves delivering LifeSkills sessions to groups of families in South West Yorkshire. The postholder will also be the main point of contact for delivery partners hosting programmes (e.g. small charities, schools) and staff and volunteers delivering sessions, and be expected to respond promptly to a wide range of queries and requests for support. Examples might include, for instance, devising LifeSkills programmes for different cohorts, presenting to potential partners, devising risk assessments, recording data, and visiting and providing guidance and support for staff and volunteers delivering sessions in venues across the area.

· To be the main point of contact for delivery partners (as well as for fundraising / marketing staff), for a portfolio of LifeSkills programmes, and respond promptly to queries and concerns. 

· To support delivery of LifeSkills sessions (e.g. take bookings, develop PowerPoint slides) as well as planning and delivering own LifeSkills programmes.

This role is home based, and in person activities will be expected to meet the requirements of your role and based on your team agreement, such as meeting with people affected by Parkinson’s and engagement with the community/stakeholders.

Deafblind UK is approaching a historic milestone: our 100th anniversary in 2028. We’re looking for a creative and dynamic Corporate & Events Fundraiser to help us write this pivotal chapter. The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way. 

This role sits within our Social Impact Group and you will work closely with Senior Major Gifts Manager, AD of Philanthropy (Major Gifts), Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships, Major Appeal Programme Director, Executive Director Social Impact and senior leaders at all levels to identify and access new and existing networks of wealth, opportunity and influence.

Our step-change in impact with children will be achieved by a step-change in our philanthropy & partnerships: as a Major Gifts Manager, you'll play a crucial role in this transformation through development and personal leadership of a portfolio of philanthropists and donors that contribute major gifts (over 5 figures+) and support

In order to be successful in this role, you must have: 

-Strong knowledge and successful track record delivering significant income through personal approaches, liaising with philanthropists and personally securing and building senior volunteer networks

-Expert knowledge of major donor methodology with experience of developing powerful and impactful cases for support, giving proposals and asks of major donors.

-Proven experience of personally meeting income targets and delivering against stewardship and repeat giving objectives, activities, implementation, and risk mitigation plans

-Knowledge of legal, regulatory and ethical environment of major gift fundraising

The foundation have recently launched their new strategy. Their 2025–2030 strategy, called Elevate Your Impact, sharpens their focus on tacking poverty and addressing systemic inequality. They’re concentrating their efforts on some of life’s toughest transitions where the right support at the right time can make a lasting difference.

Building Independence
One of those priorities is their Building Independence portfolio. Building independence prioritises supporting organisations working with young people aged 14 to 25. Too many lack the support, relationships, or safe spaces they need – especially those leaving care, excluded from school, living with a learning disability or navigating life as an LGBTQ+ young person.

The foundation fund work that helps young people to raise aspirations, build confidence and feel equipped for the next stage of life. They also support work that joins up fragmented services and pushes for policies that reflect the real experiences of young people. Through their partners, they want to help young people not just get by but move forward with purpose. They also want to help create the conditions where young people shape the communities and systems around them too

The Role
The role of Grants Manager will work to support the successful delivery of grant within the Building Independence Portfolio. This includes the undertaking of grant application assessment, participation in application decision meetings and undertake visits to meet organisations working in this area. You will support this work by undertaking complimentary policy research, building a deeper sector knowledge to support the development and continuous improvement of the fund.

The Candidate
Successful candidates will come with experience, or understanding, of grant making, particularly with understanding of youth voice and systems change. They’re looking to bring someone in with a good understanding of the principles of good grant making. This includes knowing the terminology and grant making practices.  

Candidates will also need to come into the organisation with an understanding of how youth voice can shape work. The foundation want to strengthen organisations that do youth voice work well. Candidates will need to come into this role with an understanding of youth voice and associated language.  

They are also keen on candidates with experience, or understanding of, systems change. This can take many shapes and sizes, as long as the work candidates have delivered has been focused on changing and adapting systems for beneficiaries.
