About the role
 
St Albans City and District Council is seeking a skilled Financial Transactions Supervisor to oversee accounts payable, receivable, and cash handling operations. About you

Excellent problem-solving skills help you address complex financial issues, and you’re comfortable working with large data sets, using Excel to analyse and present financial information. Your communication and interpersonal skills enable you to work well with both financial and non-financial colleagues.
 
Whilst Local Government/Public Sector experience is desirable, this is not essential. You will be receiving support, training, and guidance to ensure that you settle in your role. In time, we would like the candidate to gain a good understanding and take ownership of the Council’s Fixed Assets Register and associated reports and communicate directly with all the stakeholders on all Fixed Assets related activities.

The Senior Stewardship Officer will sit within Individual Giving. Key responsibilities

• Plan, update and design learning and campaign resources for schools, colleges and for digital campaigns.

• Support the Head of Programmes in managing and delivering on our diverse projects. 

• Run relevant projects yourself as required.

• Recruit, coordinate and support schools and teachers across the UK to take on our political and media literacy workshops and projects.

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with teachers, councils and other stakeholders.

• Produce and update Elearning resources.

• Occasionally travel nationally and/or internationally, if required.

• Fulfil other duties as reasonably requested.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in resource and curriculum development, preferably in the education or related sector.

• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

• Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail) and other relevant software.

• A strong interest in political and media literacy, civic engagement, and addressing online harms.

• Ability to work independently and proactively, taking initiative to solve problems.

• Familiarity with online learning platforms and virtual communication tools.

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, social sciences, communications) is preferred.

• Strong writing skills are desirable. 

• Must be eligible to work in the UK.

You have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

About the role 

The Health Content Editor is a key member of the Health Content Team. 

You’ll write, edit and review accessible, engaging and accurate health information in print and digital formats to help people with Parkinson’s live well and manage their condition. And you’ll make sure that our resources meet the needs of our audiences by involving people living with the condition and healthcare professionals to help shape this information. 

You’ll also have an opportunity to write content for our information and support magazine, The Parkinson.

What you’ll do:

• Develop evidence-based and accessible health content for print and digital channels, that follows the PIF Tick production process and is in line with the agreed production schedule.

• Use data tools and insights to produce, shape and optimise digital information content.

• Make sure health content effectively meets the target audience’s needs by involving users in development and evaluation, including people living with Parkinson's and healthcare professionals.

• Be responsible for a number of projects at any one time, ensuring they are completed in a reasonable timeframe.

• Manage, monitor and act on feedback received on our print and digital health information.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience of developing, writing and editing accessible health information for a variety of audiences. 

• Knowledge of best practice in health information production and relevant standards, including PIF Tick.

• Experience of using a CMS and a working knowledge of SEO and content design principles.

• Relationship-building skills with a range of stakeholders including internal teams and the Parkinson’s community.

• Being a vital point of contact for HR and people support during Games deployments, ensuring smooth operations and quick resolutions when needed.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, experienced people professional with a strong generalist background ideally in the sports, events or the arts sector. About the Hospice at Home team:
Our Hospice at Home service brings the skills and expertise of our highly trained and dedicated specialist team directly into our patient’s homes. This allows patients, their families, and carers access to the vital support they need at home, at a time when it really matters.

About the role:
We are looking for an experienced and versatile Specialist Nurse / Practitioner with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to join our Hospice at Home team.

You will work closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialists to support specific developments within the team aimed at ensuring more people achieve their preferred place of care.

You should have a relevant degree or diploma or be in the process of undertaking one.  Palliative care or oncology experience is essential.  Experience in caring for patients who are terminally ill is essential.

You will be motivated, a flexible thinker, and able to adapt to new ways of providing care to reach more patients within the community. You’ll have excellent communication skills and enjoy working alongside a multidisciplinary team to assess the needs of patients, families, and carers.
