The Research Team is pivotal to ensuring that research funded by Children with Cancer UK is at the
forefront of the children and young person’s cancer research area. You will have the opportunity to be at
the cutting edge of cancer research in children and young people and work closely with members of the
scientific community, surrounded by people working towards the same mission.
The post-holder will be responsible for line managing 2-3 members of the Research Team, providing them
with support and identifying areas and opportunities for them to expand and develop their experience
and skillset.

As a core part of our charity, the Mental Health Accessible (MHA) team is on a mission to make everyday essential services – like banking, energy, water and telecoms – genuinely accessible for people experiencing mental health problems.

We’re looking for a proactive, passionate and detail-oriented Strategic Partnerships Officer to support the growth and delivery of our consultancy work, within the Mental Health Accessible programme. Location: We welcome applicants from across the UK. We are based in east London, with London colleagues working from the office twice a week. This post can be offered to non-London applicants, with twice monthly travel to our London office. The salary is the same for both London-based and non-London based applicants, who are expected to fund their own travel costs to the office. Hours: This role is offered as a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) or part-time (minimum 30 hours over 4 days a week). The charity has a flexible working policy with core hours of 10am - 3pm and remaining contracted hours distributed throughout the week flexibly.

What experience and track record do you have?

• Education and/or teaching: Knowing how the MAT and schools system works is a must. Knowing who does what PPM role in schools will help bring the right people in the right conversations and the right time. Knowing and understanding the kinds of problems and types of conversations school leaders and teachers is also essential for this role

• Conference production: researching topics, inviting and booking speakers, crafting promotional materials, shouting loudly and proudly about the events and filling up spaces.

• Project management: Planning, tracking and delivering on project objectives across several workflows on time, every time. Managing multiple audiences who are likely to be at different stages of their engagement cycle.

• Customer Relationship Management: designing, building and automating CRMs including sales pipeline design and management eg Hubspot and Airtable

• Copywriting (and digital marketing and email workflow design): designing and writing posts and emails that convert - whether than be speaker invitations, promotional posts or conference onboarding emails.

The post-holder will work within our safeguarding protocols to provide safe interventions for Neurodivergent children, young people and families using evidence-based methodologies. Information about the Job Role

This full-time role will be best suited for applicants who are able to balance a busy work schedule being both office based and community based, working mainly with Primary and Secondary aged children and their families, and delivering workshops and one to one support in Croydon based Primary and Secondary Schools, and at CDI sites. Applicants must be willing to travel around Croydon as the service is community based. Occasional travel outside of Croydon may also arise to best meet the needs of those accessing the service.  This role will have line management responsibility of one staff member within the service, and will include a lead focus in terms of service planning, design and delivery.

About the role

• Delivering support to people who are experiencing homelessness and are rough sleeping in the borough of Tower Hamlets.
• Conducting person-centred assessments with those who self-present at the service for support
• Agree plans, in conjunction with service users, to move into accommodation and access specialist services which will address the underlying causes of their homelessness. 
• To make referrals into Tower Hamlets and Pan-London local authority housing options services, using Homeless Reduction Act
• To work with partner agencies to provide joint support to service users where appropriate
• To build relationships with housing providers and the private rented sector, to increase the portfolio of affordable referral routes into accommodation.
• You will have excellent communication skills and can create positive working relationships with a wide range of people, including external services.
• You will support the development of the service and ensure that you are delivering a solution-focussed and strength-based approach.

Working with a talented team of researchers and economists, directors and other heads, you will develop a strategy to steer NEF’s social policy work, lead the development of and fundraising for programmes of research, policy and influencing and help ensure new and existing work delivers clear, high quality and rigorous outputs and outcomes.

You will need a strong track record of leading research, policy development, a keen sense of how change happens and strong relationships with partners across politics, civil society, trade unions and business. The Head of Social Policy leads the development of our thinking across public service reform, social security and housing.  This role develops - and is responsible for the effective delivery of a NEF-wide social policy strategy and of projects that are delivering on this strategy.  The Head of Social Policy acts as a key spokesperson for NEF and promotes our work at a local, regional and national level.

As NEF has a particular strategic focus on transforming the way policy is made so that it better reflects the lived experience of the people, communities and movements that most need change, we look to heads across our different themes to help develop and test new approaches to policy and advocacy.

The Head of Social Policy generates project ideas, oversees the development of quantitative and qualitative research, leads funding bids and manages day-to-day funder relationships.  This role leads a team which both develops our thinking on social policy and provides expertise to other teams at NEF.

Are you a compassionate and dedicated nurse with a passion for palliative care? We are looking for a Senior Nurse to join our North West London team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by dying, death, and bereavement.

As a Senior Nurse, you will manage a team of Registered Nurses, Nurse Associates, and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality palliative care services. You will support the Clinical Nurse Manager in promoting a positive working environment and oversee the provision, supervision, coordination, and quality review of clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on care and act as a professional role model.
• Develop and implement best practice initiatives.
• Coordinate patient activity and ensure high standards of care.
• Manage staffing levels, budgets, and resources.
• Lead and support the team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and the wider community.

Based   :  Hybrid – Primarily home based. There will be occasional requirements to work night shifts at Clayponds Hospital, as necessary and mutually agreed upon.

• Registered Nurse on NMC Register with a relevant qualification and experience.
• Experience in caring for patients with palliative care needs.
• Strong time management skills and committed to providing high-quality care.
• Experience in observation and assessment of clinical practice, to determine standards of care
• An understanding of specific needs of patients approaching end of life and in the terminal phase.
• Excellent communication and team-working skills.
• IT literate and able to travel as required.

Home-Start London is seeking a dynamic and driven Partnerships & Projects Coordinator to play a pivotal role in growing our impact across the capital. Your work will directly help secure vital income and drive collaborative initiatives that ensure every child has the best possible start in life. What you’ll do:

• Proactively seek out, develop and manage new partnerships, generating income to support and extend Home-Start services
• Support the Operations Coordinator to manage existing consortia projects, ensuring quality and meeting targets
• Deliver timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders
• Lead on planning and delivery of network events, showcasing Home-Start’s work and impact for children and families
• Regularly engage with local Home-Start teams, from co-designing new projects to providing training and support with local fundraising efforts
• Work with HSL’s Communications Lead and local Home-Start teams to develop external communications that showcase Home-Start’s work, including content for website and socials
• Ensure compliance with partnership governance procedures, funding agreements, and internal policy
• Maintain accurate record keeping for all partnerships and projects
• Provide administrative support to the team, supporting efficient operations
• Manage volunteers as required, ensuring that they are happy, effective and well supported
• Any other duties that may be reasonably requested of the postholder
