About the role
The post-holder will provide independent advocacy in various settings, including in the community, people’s homes, and hospital settings including mental health wards. You’ll raise awareness of advocacy, including for people from minority ethnic communities. You’ll work as part of a team of independent advocates, reporting to the Advocacy Service Manager.
You will work as part of the Ealing advocacy team. You may also need to carry out your role in other London boroughs.
Under the Health and Social Care Act 2008, the post holder will be required to visit CQC registered care homes and would be subject to government requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Provide advocacy for eligible people under Mental Health Act 2007, the Health and Social Care Act 2012, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and under the Care Act 2014.
- Provide a one-to-one advocacy service for people and undertake case work, evidencing and uploading case notes and data in a timely manner.
- Provide instructed and non-instructed advocacy, where appropriate.
- Provide information, support or signpost clients in order to inform or empower individuals on any issues about their treatment under the relevant legislation.
- Act as duty advocate for our Single Point of Access referral line on a rota basis.
- Meet case-working standards, monitoring system requirements and the goals for our service, making sure everyone needing advocacy is referred into the service in the right way.
- Work within the location-specific engagement protocols, security, confidentiality and safeguarding policies (in addition to the Advocacy Best Practice Handbook).

The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. Purpose of the Job
The Health & Safety Officer will support and report to the Health & Safety Lead to ensure that The Felix Project maintains compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food safety legislation. This role is integral in maintaining a safe working environment across all Felix sites by assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of robust health and safety systems. The Officer will work proactively with staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture, support operational improvements, and deliver H&S-related training and engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Support the Health & Safety Lead: Assist in the day-to-day management of health and safety processes, ensuring that all activities comply with relevant legislation and internal policies.
· Risk Assessments: Support the creation, review, and regular update of risk assessments (RAs) and safe systems of work (SSOWs) across various sites, ensuring all potential hazards are identified and managed appropriately.
· Incident Reporting: Support the management of the reporting and investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring all reports are accurate, timely, and followed up with corrective actions where necessary.
· Training and Induction: Support the delivery of health and safety training programs, inductions, and toolbox talks for staff and volunteers. Maintain records of all training and ensure they are kept up to date.
· Safety Inspections: Carry out regular safety inspections and contribute to internal audit processes to ensure high standards of compliance and housekeeping. The Principal Regulatory Lawyer will lead responsibility for the provision of legal advice to the wider Trust on all aspects of Regulatory law as it affects the Trust, including health and safety law, environmental and reservoirs regulation.
Location & coverage
The position will be offered on a remote working basis, with a requirement to attend our main hub spaces on occasion for meetings.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead strategic advisor on all aspects of health and safety law and management, providing advice across and at all levels of the organisation (including the Executive and the Board) on legal risk and compliance.
- Advising the Trust on compliance with health and safety law in respect of colleague (employee and volunteer) safety
- Supporting the Senior Environment Lawyer, providing legal advice on all aspects of environmental and reservoirs regulatory compliance, including environmental permits, abstraction licensing, reservoirs, and wildlife protections.

The Deputy Director of Operations (DDO) supports the Director of Operations and Development (DOD) in ensuring the smooth, compliant, and strategic functioning of the ELSC across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, Netherlands, and Germany.

Senior Management Accountant (Part Time – 3 Days per Week)
A national charity seeking a Interim Senior Commercial Management Accountant to support their finance team during a period of growth and transformation.
This role will play a critical part in leading the development of costing and pricing models to support strategic decision-making. You will also deliver high-quality financial planning and strengthen financial insight across the organisation.

The Role
As Senior Commercial Management Accountant, you will provide crucial support across financial planning, forecasting, modelling, and operational finance. Working closely with the Head of Finance & Finance Director, you will help deliver the charity’s mid-year forecast, develop organisational planning tools for the upcoming financial year, and lead on advanced costing and pricing work to support strategic decisions.
