We’re looking for a Regional Corporate Partnership Development Manager to help us strengthen and grow corporate fundraising delivered through the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) Community Fundraising team, supporting our vision of a world where everyone has a healthier heart for longer.

About the role

As a Regional Corporate Partnership Development Manager, you’ll be a key member of the Corporate Partnership team, playing an essential role in building the capability, confidence and consistency of Fundraising Managers across the UK.

This role is all about empowering others to secure and grow high value corporate partnerships. Drawing on your own experience of winning and managing £50k+ partnerships, you’ll coach Fundraising Managers through the full corporate sales cycle from pipeline development and proposition shaping, to pitching, negotiation, contracting and stewardship.

You’ll design and deliver training, embed best practice processes, and create practical toolkits that strengthen regional corporate fundraising. You’ll also support account management activity, helping Fundraising Managers deliver excellent stewardship, renewal strategies and long term growth for existing partners.

Working collaboratively across Community Fundraising, Corporate Partnerships and High Value Operations, you’ll help ensure our Community Fundraising Managers have the skills, tools and confidence to deliver exceptional corporate partnerships.

As our ideal candidate, you bring strong experience of securing high value corporate partnerships and a strong understanding of what excellent corporate fundraising looks like. You’ve personally identified opportunities, shaped propositions, pitched to senior decision makers and successfully closed significant partnerships.

Just as importantly, you have a coaching mindset. You enjoy and have experience developing others, sharing your expertise and helping Fundraising Managers build their confidence and capability.

You bring:

• Proven experience winning high value corporate partnerships, with a strong track record of achieving financial targets while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Working arrangements

This is 12 month fixed term contract.

This is a field-based role covering the UK. You'll need to live in England or be able to relocate to this region. This role requires regular travel within England, and occasional travel to other parts of the UK. A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.

MEMBERSHIP AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

ABOUT THE BIA

We have 600+ members at the BIA from a broad spectrum of biotech and life science companies including university spinouts, start-ups to scaling biotech to big pharma, including those that support the sector such as service providers, consultancies, law firms and universities.

We are looking for an experienced BD Manager to join the existing team here at BIA. The primary task is to help build relationships, retain current members, and secure new ones to meet or exceed quarterly and yearly targets.

MAIN PURPOSES OF THIS ROLE:

• To support the Associate Director for Membership and Business Development in building relationships, retaining current members and securing new ones to meet or exceed quarterly and yearly new membership targets
• To coordinate lead development and manage leads process through the entire sales cycle
• To plan and execute targeted business development campaigns working alongside the marketing team to ensure wider promotion
• Lead identification/qualification of potential new members
• To form effective connections with key personnel at member organisations, developing member engagement, event attendance and participation in BIA communities
• To support the development of the BIA business solutions saving programme – both in terms of increasing participation of new and existing members and increasing the range of savings schemes in line with member requirements
• At times, to help manage and organise external event activity including logistics and company engagement in relation to UK and overseas delegations

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with Associate Director for Membership and Business Development to design campaigns
• Work with wider team to ensure that lead capture through all channels (website, online communications, printed collateral, events, networking etc.) is comprehensive and provides the information necessary for effective follow up
• Work with Associate Director for Membership and Business Development to develop schedules for following up on new member leads and tracking success rates
• Work with contacts at our business solutions partner programmes to develop these schemes further – maximising membership benefit and income for BIA
• Work with Membership team to ensure any issues with renewing members are addressed promptly and to a satisfactory conclusion
• Work with the Sponsorship Manager to pass on leads and to help embed relevant administration
• Gain a strong understanding of all BIA activities/initiatives in order to present the benefits and opportunities of BIA membership to potential and existing members in a professional manner 
• Attend relevant industry and BIA events (UK & overseas) to network and to promote the benefits of BIA membership and build a professional network of contacts. This will include occasional evening and weekend work.
• Regular visits to BIA members offices and external events throughout the UK where appropriate
• Get to know the membership base, and communicate effectively and professionally with member contacts
• Effectively monitor revenue targets (and related budgets) and produce relevant status reports through Dynamics
• Work with Membership team to monitor and keep membership data up to date at all times
• Provide support where needed across the wider team
• Attend internal debtor meetings and chase for outstanding membership payments when necessary

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential Demonstrable Skills:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in consultative sales, business development or membership engagement (including closing sales and understanding CRM principles)

Role purpose

This is a critical, income-generating role responsible for growing Perennial’s Individual Giving programme and increasing unrestricted income, with a primary focus on supporter acquisition and on supporter development and retention.

This role translates strategy into delivery by converting audiences into supporters, and supporters into income, so our Services team can provide meaningful impact in people’s lives and income into meaningful impact.

You will own and deliver acquisition income targets, and working with our Marketing team lead on the development of audience-led, multi-channel campaigns that attract, convert and retain supporters.

This is an opportunity to build and scale Perennial’s Individual Giving programme from an early stage, shaping propositions, channels and supporter journeys to drive sustainable growth.

Working closely with our marketing and digital teams, you will turn awareness of Perennial into measurable income and long-term supporter value.

Key responsibilities

1. Acquisition strategy, income ownership & growth

· Develop and deliver a data-led Individual Giving acquisition strategy, aligned to organisational income goals

· Own and deliver annual acquisition income targets, with clear accountability for ROI and performance

·  Plan and work with our Marketing and Digital teams to deliver integrated, multi-channel campaigns, leading on the who and the why

· Build and scale regular giving acquisition, as a core long-term income stream

· Develop, test and refine compelling fundraising propositions that convert audiences into donors

2. Audience insight, segmentation & targeting

· Support progression into regular giving  and mid-value giving

· Lead the development of legacy giving within the fundraising programme, working closely with the Head of Fundraising to build a sustainable pipeline.

• Lead the development and testing of fundraising propositions that clearly communicate impact, urgency and relevance to the horticulture sector

· Work with Marketing & Communications to deliver storytelling-led, conversion-focused content

· Ensure messaging is audience-specific, emotionally engaging and income-driven

6. Data, CRM & insight

• Work closely with Data/CRM colleagues to ensure accurate segmentation and data selection and develop effective campaign tracking and reporting
• Use data and insight to optimise campaign performance, enhance audience targeting and conversion rates, and increase overall supporter lifetime value.
• Ensure all fundraising activity complies with relevant regulations and standards, including General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Fundraising Regulator guidance, and Gift Aid requirements.

Key responsibilities

Learning & Development Strategy:
Develop and deliver a cohesive L&D approach aligned to organisational priorities, translating strategic goals into practical learning plans.

Workforce Capability & CPD:
Build and embed a structured CPD offer, particularly supporting clinical and regulated staff to meet professional requirements and develop in their roles.

Induction & Onboarding:
Design and implement a comprehensive induction programme, creating a consistent and engaging experience for new starters.

Competency Frameworks:
Support the development and embedding of a competency framework to provide clarity on roles, expectations and career progression.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with managers, clinical leads and senior stakeholders to identify learning needs and build engagement with L&D across the organisation.

Learning Delivery & Evaluation:

Organisational Development:

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

• Experience designing and delivering Learning & Development programmes or strategies

The Role:

As a proactive and innovative Project Manager for Professional Development, you will support our CPD team. This new role is pivotal in ensuring effective systems management and record keeping, stakeholder engagement and relationships across various educational projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the management of a large, growing and innovative Schools CPD programme, in person and online
• Manage administrative tasks including documentation, scheduling, and reporting for CPD programmes
• Using tools such as Canva, Microsoft Office suite, MailChimp and WordPress to create and disseminate high-quality educational resources and communications in line with HEP brand guidelines
• Produce content to market and sell our professional development programme to schools in and beyond our membership
• Support all customers, members and non-members, to access the HEP offer
• Develop and nurture strong stakeholder relationships with schools, educators, CPD trainers, local authorities and other partners
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational innovation, policies, regulations and political landscape affecting schools and the education sector to inform the next steps for CPD
