Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Work closely with the Committee and key stakeholders focusing on a shared vision, mission of Lewisham Giving and to successfully deliver the strategy.

· Produce an annual plan of work that sets out the key priorities and activities for Lewisham Giving and is approved by the Committee

· Proactively establish and nurture a network of businesses, residents, community organisations, and individuals who will contribute time, money, skills, opportunities and connections to ensure a sustainable Giving model for Lewisham.

· Commission or carry out research as necessary to understand unmet need and inform plans to maximise impact.

· Further develop the giving model for Lewisham through co-design with residents and other relevant agencies and monitor and report on their impact.

Key Responsibilities

Administration

• Manages virtual offices and membership programme payment processing in collaboration with our data services team based in the US.  
• Manages post where it relates to membership mailings. Manages orders for stationery and AWF materials needed to support mailings, events, and donor management (internal and external contracts).
• Support UK Director and Senior Manager, Donor Engagement in organising donor meetings.
• Manage travel and logistics for visiting AWF staff to the UK.

Portfolio growth and stewardship

• Works closely with the global research team to develop prospect lists for UK donors/partners – ensuring AWF is using the best possible tools for research and prospecting in the UK mindful of GDPR.
• Support fulfilment of UK donor stewardship plans to ensure all donors have appropriate and considerate communications from AWF working with AWF’s Communications team, Digital Officer and Director of Annual Giving.

Donor Information Management

• Oversees RE records for UK donors and prospects, making sure mailing lists are correct and can easily be drawn down for communications, maintaining accurate records of all donor interactions, individuals’ programmatic interests, trends in giving, and type of support to solicit.
• Works with Data Services and the UK team to review portfolios and make sure amendments are made on Raiser Edge ( RE).

Content Development and Communications

• Manages regular mailings to target audiences, as well as invitations to organisational wide donor engagement activities.
• Sends donor acknowledgements by email and phone calls (for smaller gifts).

Requirements and Skills

• Knowledge of the UK fundraising market, UK data protection guidelines and best practice and experience of working within these guidelines.

• Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge software.

Key responsibilities

• Advocate for racial justice within Diocesan structures, by promoting best practices in diversity, inclusion, and belonging with a biblical foundation.
• Provide support and advice to parishes, deaneries and clergy on implementing the Anti-Racism Charter and developing culturally appropriate worship and faith practices.
• Collaborate with parishes, schools and Area Racial Justice Groups to share experiences, support meetings, and coordinate events related to racial justice.

Candidates will have a strong understanding of racial justice, anti-racism, equality, and inclusion, especially within a church context, and have proven ability to lead engagement/change programmes. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders from various disciplines and perspectives. Experience in organising medium to large events and a willingness to understand the structure and dynamics of the Church of England and its Dioceses is desirable. The Role

Healthy rivers are essential for people and nature but they are on the brink of collapse, under threat from pollution, climate change, habitat loss and water scarcity. Tackling these issues requires holistic understanding and effective partnership working.

We are seeking a Catchment Officer, to lead our work in two catchments across our area. You will be our primary representative in your focal catchments, and will be responsible for leading and chairing the local Catchment Partnerships. Through your Catchment Partnership work, you will develop a deep local knowledge of your rivers and their stakeholders, which you will leverage to develop programs of data and evidence gathering that will help to understand the issues impacting river health in the catchments. Based on this knowledge, you will work with partners to develop catchment plans and co-design solutions and mitigation projects that will provide multiple benefits and make a real difference to river health.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a level of scientific and/or technical expertise, for example in land management, wetland design, aquatic biodiversity, habitat enhancement, nature-based solutions, biodiversity net gain, natural flood management, fisheries science, water resources, or water quality. You will bring this expertise to our Catchment Partnerships and share it across the whole of our organisation.

The role will suit a natural leader and good communicator with relevant technical knowledge who is personable and diplomatic with a passion for the water environment and its improvement.

• Developing, implementing and delivering a vocations strategy to ensure that people’s rich diversity of gifts are valued, recognised and encouraged within the life of the Church, especially those traditionally under-represented and on the margins of the Church.
• Developing, implementing and delivering structured and planned vocational courses, programmes and discernment opportunities for those at various stages of their life, and faith, journeys.
• Developing the online presence (such as learning resources) of the M:VW team, especially in the areas related to vocational and ministerial flourishing.

You will also be able to forge partnerships as this role will require working and liaising with a variety of colleagues across the Connexional Team, and wider Connexion. The ability to reflect theologically and apply this to all aspects of the post is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development and delivery of a 3-year train the trainer pilot programme in the chosen pilot locations in England or Scotland.

The pilot will train and equip local health care professionals, health promotion workers and local community workers with the knowledge and resources to promote breast awareness, breast screening and risk reduction messages in their own communities.

Supported by a public health development officer, train the trainer (1 based in England and 1 based in Scotland), who you’ll also line manage, you’ll lead on the development and delivery of the in-person programme, including marketing materials, resource packs and ongoing support for trainees. This role spearheads the development and execution of a strategic plan to dismantle systemic racism within the housing systems, ultimately leading to greater housing equity for Black and Global Majority (BGM) communities.

The position will encompass a multifaceted approach, focusing on Policy & Advocacy, Community Collaboration & Empowerment, and Service Delivery Innovation.

The aim of ROTA’s housing project, funded by the Oak Foundation, is to examine the racial inequities that continue to plague the housing sector. Using a community-based peer research approach, we will put the lived experiences of Black and Global Majority communities who have been affected by insecure housing at the heart of this research, amplifying their voices through dedicated campaigning and advocacy.

We ultimately hope that the findings from this research can be used to formulate meaningful policy and influence practice to help end discriminatory practices in the housing sector.

Summary

The newly scoped CEO role in our vision-focussed charity is one of many challenges. Despite having doubled its outputs in the last 2 years, the charity acknowledges there is still a great job of work to do to prepare itself for even greater demand in its services - without necessarily a proportionate increase in its budgets. The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Gaining a driving licence greatly enhances their future employability prospects and helps break the cycle of re-offending. Additionally, our UR4Jobs project focusses on both client wellbeing and breaking down the many barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged people every day.

The Head of Development will support Matthew Bourne’s artistic vision by leading on the development and delivery of the New Adventures Fundraising Strategy to maximise voluntary income, particularly through Trusts and Foundations and Major Gifts. Who we are looking for

Our Communications Services team is seeking a talented Communications Officer, Social Media and Digital, with a background in sustainable development, science or health communications. The successful applicant will be educated to degree level with at least a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree.

You will need to be creative with the ability to produce social media campaigns, digital content and videos, and lead the development of engaging websites to tell our clients’ stories. Plus, you’ll need to be highly organised and able to juggle multiple tasks to coordinate and deliver a wide range of engaging communications materials. You should also be open to travel, as the role could require you to visit projects in Africa or Asia.

What you will do

You’ll lead our social media and digital services for international development and research organisations around the world, as well as coordinating and providing advice on a range of other communications projects – covering topics such as climate change, health, poverty reduction, social equity, agriculture, water resources management, and green cities. You’ll need to think strategically and creatively, respond effectively to emerging trends, and help our team develop and grow.

Your role will include:

• Leading social media and digital communications services: you will conceptualise, coordinate and deliver social media campaigns, videos, websites, newsletters and other digital products for our clients – leading innovative content strategies that drive engagement.
• Content creation: you will create social media content and assets, graphics, videos and animations. You will also develop design templates and mock-ups, format presentations and Microsoft Word documents, produce event materials and make website updates.
• Project management: you will be the main point of contact for specific clients and projects, gathering requests for new products and services, and coordinating content development and graphic design work with other team members to ensure that projects are delivered efficiently and effectively. This may lead to overseas trips for some clients.
• Managing Scriptoria’s social media and website: you will lead Scriptoria’s external social media marketing and ensure our website and digital landscape remains dynamic and up to date. You will test and advise the team on new tools or programs.
• Business development as part of the team: you will explain our work to potential new clients, showcase our many successful projects, increase the amount of digital work flowing into the company, and so ensure that Scriptoria’s Communications team moves from strength to strength.

Working at Scriptoria

This role offers the opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects, gain experience in different areas and contribute to the diverse range of services that Scriptoria provides. As a small and collaborative team, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is happy to support a variety of tasks and develop further skills, as needed, in the role.

Our staff have the flexibility to work wholly or partly from home or from our office in Tooting, South-West London, during regular operational hours (08:30–17:30; 40 hours/week). If working from home, staff must have a working environment suitable for holding video-call meetings with clients. Wherever you work, you will interact regularly with other team members to share skills and exchange ideas.

You will have 25 days of annual leave per year, plus UK public holidays.

Key skills and experience required

1. A 2:1 or 1st class honours degree in a subject area relevant to our work. A postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.
2. A minimum of five years’ work experience in a communications role.
3. Extensive knowledge and use of social media channels (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram etc.), marketing platforms (e.g. for newsletters) and management tools (e.g. Hootsuite).
4. Experience using a range of tools to create digital communications materials (e.g. Canva and video editing software; Illustrator and Premier Pro would be an advantage) and content management systems (e.g. WordPress).
5. Understanding of the digital landscape, emerging trends, tools and best practices in social media and digital communications (including SEO, UI, UX, Information Architecture).
6. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing social media, digital and campaign strategies, and using reporting and analytics tools – with proven success in driving engagement and followers.
7. Strong creative flair with a strong understanding of best-practice design principles.
8. Strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and cope flexibly with a range of jobs to meet (and exceed) client expectations.
9. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail.

Working within the Housing Team with specific responsibility for Asset Management, refurbishment, and Development for the housing portfolio regardless of tenure.

The role of Asset Manager (South) reporting to the Head of Property, is a project based role with some day-to-day involvement, working as part of a team and taking the lead for individual property matters and asset portfolios across our areas of operation, whilst maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.

Travel will be required across the South generally 2 days a week. Subject to workload 3 days will be home working.

About the role 

• To work alongside the North and West Colleagues to manage the National Assets (Circa 250+ sites).
• Consult on and evaluate and prioritise regional property development opportunities within the framework of the business plan, in partnership with the Regional Managing Directors and Director of Housing and wider team members
• To work with the people we support to design and deliver custom work packages
• Using a project management approach to deliver Asset Management and Development projects to differentiate us from our competitors.
• Negotiate successfully with stakeholders, internal and external bodies to the benefit of the organisation and our tenants.
• Lead on programmes of property works within our operational regions.
• Proactively work with commissioners, partners, and other stakeholders to bring projects forward to support business and housing stock growth for Dimensions.
• To take asset responsibility for the North and East regions and agree specific exceptions where demand requires working outside the geographic area.
• To lead of property matter escalations for private landlord issues.

About you

The successful applicant will have: 

• Experience of working with supported living property or a similar sector.
• Proven experience of developing and managing successful contracts to achieve excellent customer driven services
• Experience of working in the Housing sector
• Experience and understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to Assets and Development and the implementation of related Policies.
