The team will be devoted to:

· Achieving the optimum quality of life for patients and their families facing a terminal illness

· Helping patients live meaningfully in the time they have left

· Supporting patients to have control and choices over decisions about their care & maintain their independence

· Supporting patients to have a ‘good death’

· Providing emotional, practical support to both patients and loved ones to help alleviate stress, anxiety and social isolation

· Helping loved ones to plan and prepare for life after the death of their loved one.

Job Purpose:

To provide support, information and guidance to end of life patients and their carers to empower and ensure that they have the right information and the right time to make informed choices about their care.

Salary: £30,000 PRO RATA £18,000 for 0.6FTE – 21 Hours per week

Contract length: 1 YEAR Fixed Term Contract

Location: Thames21’s main office at the Guildhall, City of London or at our Satellite Office in Bow; but we also offer hybrid working.

 Purpose of the job:

 This newly created HR Officer position will support the Head of HR in a busy HR function potential for a busy charity. The role will concentrate on the operational and administrative aspects of HR and will also act as a first line support to staff but will also provide administrative support to the Operations Manager.  There will also be an opportunity for the HR Officer to get involved in project and research work.

This a part-time role of three days which can be worked in number of ways with either three full days or with less hours across four days, but you will be required to work at least two days in the office.

· Work with the Head of HR to ensure HR policies are updated when required

· Research, source and book training for staff as and when required

Young Start distributes money from dormant accounts on behalf of the Scottish Government to projects that are run for and by young people aged eight to 25. Since 2012, it has distributed over £60 million to thousands of projects across Scotland. 

You will be part of the Communications and Engagement team responsible for telling the story of our Young Start funding in Scotland to a variety of audiences.

You will also provide communications support and advice to a recently established Young Start development team tasked with ensuring that children and young people are better engaged with and centred in the work of the Young Start funding programme. 

Responsibilities include:
•Leading on all regular announcements of Young Start funding to the media and stakeholders
•Interviewing young people behind the projects to produce content for media features, case studies and online social media channels
•Supporting our funding teams to deliver Young Start customer communications 
•Managing the yearly production of the Young Start Annual Report, at the request of the Scottish Government.
•Supporting the Young Start team to deliver its work putting young people front and centre of the Young Start programme.

About you

You will be comfortable speaking to children and young people about the impact that the funding is making in their lives and telling their stories with duty of care and a creative and engaging approach.
You will be collaborative in nature and enjoy working proactively and in partnership with colleagues across the fund. An open, supportive and flexible team working approach is necessary.

You will be adept at managing a busy and varied workload.

There can be occasional weekend and evening working to suit the needs of young people, but most of our work takes place on weekdays in normal working hours.

The Ripple Pond is a charity that supports adult family members of physically and/or psychologically injured British Armed Forces personnel and veterans. Many of these individuals and family members are hard to reach and often isolated.

Your role will be to ensure that more and more of the military community, professionals and other interested parties know who we are and how to access our support.

You will also help to organise our exciting programme of online talks and activities for our Members (service-users) to help ensure they are well-informed, involved and feel part of a supportive community. Making sure that Members are always involved in generating ideas and production.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic and determined, but you also need to be invested in our mission as a charity and care about people.

This role is about;

• working with a wide range of groups and individuals to help raise awareness of the charity and to create opportunities to identify new Members (service users);

• developing and rolling out strategies to engage with hard-to-reach and isolated military carers and families;

This is a demanding, yet hugely fulfilling new post in which the post holder will have overall responsibilty for the management and day to day operations of our new mobile support van. A large proportion of the post holder's time will be spent taking the van along with a team of volunteers on outreach to where there are survivors of sex trafficking. Our immediate priority area is Bedford. This will involve driving to sites of sexual exploitation and trafficking, such as the streets, properties used as brothels, airports and other places, as necessary. The post holder will lead outreach sessions supported by trained volunteers, in partnership with Bedfordshire Police and UK Border Force. The post holder will be a part of Azalea's frontline team (we call this Encompass) and will work with them to offer survivors of sex trafficking crisis intervention and ongoing support. The nature of this form of outreach will require the post holder to work flexible and unsociable hours (37.5 hours per week), however Azalea offers a generous annual leave allowance. Since this is a new role, the post holder will be required to use their initiative and draw on the knowledge and experience of the team to develop a full-time operational plan for the support van.

We are looking to recruit two additional project officers mainly to help deliver our Live Love Later Life and Healthsmart services whilst providing organisational and administrative support to help these run smoothly.

An exercise qualification and experience of delivering health checks are highly desirable. However, if you do not hold these qualifications you will need to undergo a chair-based exercise qualification and blood pressure training. Applicants need to be willing to undergo this training. They also need to have the confidence and enthusiasm to deliver exercise to groups of older people whilst motivating participants that may have a variety of physical and cognitive challenges. These attributes will be assessed through a task during the interview process.

About the role

About the role

As a Business Support Officer, you will support individual areas and provide positive and timely business support for the Care and Support function to meet their delivery of organisation business processes. The role and your key responsibilities

As a Partner Success Lead your role is to provide world class customer service to our partner base of over 2,500 schools and colleges. You will be responsible for onboarding our new schools and supporting our existing schools to make the most of the Unifrog platform. You’ll work alongside three other Partner Success Leads, our Work Experience Lead, and the Head of UK Partner Success. You’ll also have daily contact with people on our data, marketing, sales, finance, and account management teams.

Key details

• £29,624 per annum (Grade A) plus a share in a company-wide performance bonus (pro rata).

• Full-time.

• 12-month fixed term contract.

• Working hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm or Monday to Thursday, and 8:30am to 4:00pm on Friday.

• 28 days paid holiday per year (plus bank holidays) (pro rata).

• Split your time between home and our office in Hoxton, London (a minimum of 2 days per week).

• Standard Q&A from a panel of three, including questions about your experiences and how these relate to the role, and scenario questions based on common situations you might face (plus time for your questions)

Internal Communications Officer

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Sustrans as part of our Strategic Communications team. 

As the Internal Communications Officer you will work collaboratively with diverse teams across the organisation, to schedule and produce a range of inspiring, informative and engaging internal communications. 

Working with the Internal Communications and Engagement Manager, you will conceive and create compelling content for a range of channels including Sustrans intranet and a weekly newsletter. You will also help manage and run Sustrans monthly all-colleague webinars. 

This role will actively enable further development of employee engagement and will support several strategic change-related projects across the charity.

We offer true hybrid working, a flexible mix of working from home and occasional travel to a nearby office hub. 

About you 

 You should have excellent communication skills including an ability to communicate a range of issues and concepts for different audiences using a variety of communications channels. 

You should have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders at different levels and locations. 

You should have the ability to use your own initiative to create content that increases staff engagement. 

You should be able to plan and prioritise a varied and heavy workload to meet deadlines. 

You should have the ability to work with senior colleagues on potentially confidential or sensitive issues.
