Services Marketing and Communications Officer

Salary: starting at £24,724 FTE per annum to £26,370* FTE per annum

Additionally, £480 home-based allowance FTE per annum, Grade 2, point 16-18

Location: UK home based with some nationwide travel required to service sites

The Services Marketing and Communications Officer is responsible for developing and delivering marketing and communications plans to support specific service KPI’s and objectives.

The successful candidate will be a marketing and communications all-rounder, with a working understanding of brand, marketing, communications, media relations, PR and social media relating to services, and able to work with marcomms colleagues to support services through these channels.

Main Responsibilities:

· Develop and deliver bespoke marketing and communications plans and activities specific to particular Family Action services and targeted at their audiences (public and professional).

· Develop marketing collateral, press releases, guides/toolkits, adverts, articles for professional magazines, e-bulletins/newsletters, web pages, events, etc.

· Ensure all services marketing activity is brand compliant and aligned to Family Action’s corporate priorities, as well as meeting the needs of the specific service.

· Manage the production of marketing collateral using design tools/software and/or Family Action templates. This will include copywriting, proof reading, image selection.

· Liaison with and management of external suppliers, such as designers and printers, when appropriate. Management of the production process on behalf of the service/s you work for and budget management.

Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):

· Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering a range of successful marketing and communications activity across multiple channels and for a variety of stakeholders.

· Experience of working within a corporate visual identity and translating that for multiple uses.

· Experience of materials development, e.g. writing, editing, proofreading, design (including the use of design software).

· Some understanding of website design and delivery, e.g. developing content, navigation, accessibility, SEO.

· Experience of managing external consultants and suppliers, e.g designers, printers.

· Experience of managing projects to be delivered on time and in budget.

· A marketing or design qualification or similar experience, and evidence of a commitment to continuing learning and professional development.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Interest in the charity sector and social impact.

Day Care Officer – Day Care Centres 

Age UK Camden Day Care Centres are looking to recruit Day Care Officers to cover a range of hours and shifts across our two Day Care Centres. 

Our Centres provide a wide range of activities as well as being a specialist Day Care Centres caring for older people with complex needs. The Day Care Centres also provide a hot lunch and a range of special events. 

We have a dedicated, specialist team supporting people with care needs, including those living with mild - moderate dementia and complex needs. 

The successful candidate will: 

• Have shared responsibility in the team for the implementation of a comprehensive service of care and support for service users 

• Act as a key worker for individual clients

• Deliver holistic and person centred wellbeing services which provide service users with social interaction and support to maintain their personal interests.

We have been at the forefront of adoption services for over 60 years, working with local authorities across the country.  With our outstanding rating with Ofsted, we work with a high degree of flexibility and innovation and with a range of adopters from all backgrounds and provide a range of Adoption Support services to families to support them on their adoption journey. 

We are delighted to have secured funding to set up and establish a robust impact and data collection process and database so that clear outcomes can be measured and collected for the different areas within our adoption support services. This is a new role and the postholder will play a key part in delivering on this work.

Working alongside Adoption Support colleagues, the Database Officer will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the database, ensuring data is kept up to date as well as inputting, monitoring and evaluating data and service user details.  They will also contribute to the collection of feedback and case studies from service users.

The Database Officer will produce comprehensive and tailored reports using both qualitative and quantitative data, derived from the new monitoring and evaluation system.  These evidence-based reports are produced for a variety of audiences and will contribute to evidencing the effectiveness of PACT’s adoption support services.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in an administrative support role, with database and/or data capture administration experience.  To succeed in this role, you will be proficient in producing reports from a database with a keen eye for accuracy and detail and have strong data analysis skills with an ability to derive meaningful insights.

Our team in Zambia are looking for a Programme Officer to join their WASH NTD project. The WASH NTD Programme Officer will be responsible for all programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation related to SAFE aspects especially WASH and behaviour change interventions.

Accountabilities:

• Support the organisation of the SAFE and WASH NTD Data Tool Development and Targeted Design Assessment for WASH activities relating to the programme and broader NTD work.
• Work closely with the Technical Hub WASH Team, supporting the design and delivery of specific Behavioural Change and Communication activities in targeted districts, and national level where appropriate.
• Collaborate with appropriate Ministries and WASH sector partners to implement and monitor appropriate actions to improve efficiency and quality of project implementation in WASH.
• Promote the adaption and adoption of preferred practices on BCC and assess their application across the programme.
• Ensure timely reporting on all WASH NTD activities in the Accelerate programme.

• Support the Ministry of Health and partners interpret and use data/findings to guide decision-making

Knowledge, skills, experience

• A qualification/tertiary degree in public health or other relevant field
• Technical knowledge in WASH and BCC and/or one or more of the five leading PCT NTDs.
• Proven experience working with budgets and financial provisions.
• Proven experience with participatory methods and partnerships.
• Previous experience in monitoring and evaluation of projects/programmes
• Excellent communication skills and advocacy
• Strong reporting skills
• Strong IT
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Availability to travel to relevant health regions for the duration of the tenure
• An understanding of and commitment to equality of opportunity for disabled people
• Current and ongoing right to work in Zambia.

We are looking to recruit as soon as possible a self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking officer to co-ordinate the delivery of a low level mental health and well-being issues service across Dyfed for older people and their carers.

The service forms part of Hywel Dda University Health Board’s mental health plan. The service aims to provide low-level support, for mild to moderate mental health and well-being issues, diverting demand away from primary and secondary health care services.

This service will require an agile and flexible approach, utilising both regulated and unregulated in-home service providers. An understanding of the mental health and well-being issues affecting older people is desirable as is attention to detail.

The Inclusion Officer will be responsible for the management, coordination, and delivery of the Trust’s social inclusion programmes across Northamptonshire, this includes the Premier League Kicks programme and anti-crime initiatives. The Premier League Kicks programme is a flagship targeted project, which uses the power of football and sports participation, alongside personal development activities, to help hard-to-reach young people in some of the most high-need areas. 

The Inclusion Officer will be integral to the successful delivery and growth of the Kicks Programme across Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and development of the Kicks programme, as well as other disability and inclusion projects that help to connect communities, leading a team to deliver these initiatives. In addition, the post holder will have frontline delivery responsibility, engaging with young people, leading on the delivery of youth engagement sessions, and the delivery of educational workshops in the local community. 

These will be based on themes including knife crime, equality, anti-social behaviour and mental health. You’ll be passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential. About the role

We are looking for a Programme Officer to enhance the quality of Sightsavers supported programme in Liberia and ensure that they are planned, implemented, monitored and evaluated to the highest standards, in line with Sighsavers policies and procedures. The Programme Officer will work with country office staff, global teams, and partners to identify areas of growth and develop new initiatives.

Key duties will include:

• Identify partner organizations with whom Sightsavers can work to achieve the organization's strategic priorities of the prevention of avoidable blindness and the social inclusion of people with visual impairment, through both service delivery and advocacy work.
• Develop and support longer term relationships with these partners that go beyond the duration of individual projects.
• Support partners in the identification of their own capacity building needs and help facilitate the provision of these needs.
• Assist project partners in the preparation of budgets.
• Monitor expenditure of project financial resources and liaise with the Finance and Support Services Manager/Officer where necessary.
• Support partners to manage all aspects of the project cycle including planning, implementation and monitoring & evaluation.
• Support the Country Programme Manager and Country Director to prepare project reports in line with Sightsavers and donors requirements.
• Be proactive in providing good quality information on case studies, interesting news stories etc relating to the projects the officer is responsible for.
• Ensure that the Media and Comms teams at Sightsavers regional office head office receive appropriate materials and information as required especially if projects are supported by restricted funding that may have special reporting requirements.
