Purpose of the job
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Communications Manager to join our team. Working closely with the Partnerships and Communications Director, the role will help deliver ELBA’s Communication Strategy and external comms.
With a background in design, and a knowledge and ability in web design, build and management, the Communications Manager will manage ELBA’s visual identity/design work and website. This role will combine hands-on content creation with design application to enhance our organisational storytelling, digital presence and stakeholder engagement.
Overseeing a cross-departmental committee that helps facilitate all-team involvement in comms, the Communications Manager will support and help generate content for the website, social media and newsletters.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications
- Working closely with the CEO and Partnerships and Communications Director, refine and implement the organisation’s communications strategy
- Help align organisational priorities with communications activity and audience needs

Website and Digital Design
- Manage ELBA’s visual identity/carry out design work, write and schedule social media posts on scheduling platform

- Create the Mailchimp newsletter, and search for and source images for news articles
Performance Monitoring
- Gather and analyse quarterly data and metrics for website, newsletter and social media performance

Content Creation and Editing
- Create, co-create, edit and upload content

Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a communications, content or digital marketing role
- WordPress back-end and front-end knowledge and skills
- Technically-able with experience using newsletter software such as Mailchimp, as well as generally being proficient using a range of digital tools and software.
- Proficient in basic graphic design and layout using InDesign or equivalent
- Strong written English and editing skills with high attention to grammar, style and brand tone

Responsibilities of our Senior Individual Giving Officer:
- This role is crucial in delivering the charity’s Individual Giving programme, working across multiple communication channels to grow sustainable income for Cats Protection by recruiting and stewarding supporters across a range of products.

What we’re looking for in our Senior Individual Giving Officer:
- Extensive experience in an Individual Giving or similar role, ideally working with agencies in the third sector
- Experience in leading the organisation of projects/activities or schedules
- Experience in budget management, ideally with multiple income and expenditure items
- Proven track record of achieving income against agreed financial targets, and measuring against KPIs
- Experience of at least some broad-based fundraising, such as Direct Mail, DRTV, telephone, digital or face-to-face fundraising

RCS England is one of the most high-profile health commentators in the UK. You will regularly see us advocating for patients and the surgical workforce in the national press. You will have a fluent writing style and be confident working with senior stakeholders to brief them before interviews.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming enquiries and provide accurate, timely and appropriate responses, briefing journalists in line with RCS England key messages and priorities.
- Participate in an out-of-hours rota for media enquiries. Time off in lieu is offered for significant out-of-office hours worked.

About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
The Role
Following a recent departmental restructure, we’re entering an exciting period for the newly formed content team. This shift in the team structure highlights our commitment to making best in sector content - all in the name of our mission; to ensure all breast cancers are diagnosed early and accurately in young people.
We are looking for an exceptional Head of Content who will be responsible for delivering our holistic content strategy over the next year. You’ll oversee the management, production and strategic placement of all organic content across CoppaFeel!’s channels, and in house paid campaign activations. You will help shape CoppaFeel!’s approach to content so that it appeals, resonates with and converts our key audience of 18 - 24 year olds, as well as our supplementary audiences, across website, email and social channels.
You will work closely with the Head of Marketing and alongside other Heads of Dept, bringing your expertise and knowledge to leadership discussions to help shape the future of the organisation. You will report to the Marketing Director and line manage the Social Media Manager and Digital Marketing Manager, and you will have exposure to the Senior Management Team.
This is a fixed term contract for 13 months.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work as a valued part of the CoppaFeel! leadership team to deliver the organisational strategy, shape the culture and influence cross departmental ways of working.
- Deliver the holistic content strategy across digital and social channels (including website, email, search, owned social, content creators and gaming) that will enhance the annual marketing strategy and drive awareness of CoppaFeel! and our mission amongst 18 - 24 year olds.

- Oversee in house paid social media campaigns, primarily on Meta, with support from the Social Media Manager. Deliver training to the Social Media Manager to help them work towards activating these independently.
- Oversee delivery of workflow processes for managing the content lifecycle, including producing, distributing, measuring, and retiring content.
- Ensure all content is consistent with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
- Oversee capacity of the Content Team.
- Line manage the Social Media Manager and Digital Marketing Manager.
- Ownership of the Content Team budget and quarterly re-forecasting.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum 5 year’s experience working in a management level content focused role, for example a Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Senior Content Manager, Head of Digital Marketing or Head of Content.
- Demonstrable experience in managing and prioritising cross departmental content requests.
- Demonstrable experience of implementing strategic content plans.
- Demonstrable experience of producing creative content.
- Demonstrable experience with activating paid social campaigns.

The role will work closely with our Digital, Content, and Marketing teams, in leading data initiatives that improve data-driven decision-making and optimises engagement, marketing, and content across all channels.
Additionally, this role provides mentorship and guidance to colleagues in the wider organisation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data excellence.
This role is responsible for:
- Analysing audience behaviour, campaign, channel, and content performance, and engagement trends to support decision-making. Using advanced techniques like predictive analytics to identify optimisation opportunities.
- Working closely with the Digital and Content team to develop data analysis strategies that align with our goals.
- Creating and maintain dashboards and reports, using tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Power BI to track and present analysis clearly to stakeholders.
- Guiding and mentor colleagues, sharing knowledge and best practices in data analysis to enhance team capabilities.
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data by conducting regular audits and supporting data cleansing efforts.
- Contributing to continuous improvement efforts to improve analysis and reporting, staying up-to-date on the latest tools and practices in digital data analysis.
For this role we’re looking for:
- Experience in data analysis or business intelligence roles,
- Experience with digital channel analytics (social media, websites, email) and content optimisation e.g. through A/B testing and conversion analysis.
- Experience in advanced analytics techniques to optimise engagement and marketing strategies.
- Technical expertise in data analysis, manipulation, and visualisation using tools like Google Analytics, SQL, Power BI
- Knowledge of data governance and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
