We are looking for an experienced campaigner with hands-on knowledge of digital campaigning and digital mobilisation techniques, to join our high performing Campaigns and Public Affairs team.

You'll have previously played a key role in successful campaigning activities which have brought about a change in policy and practice, and will be comfortable with fast-paced work.

You'll have a proactive, and collaborative approach which will make sure our campaigning is joined up between the national and regional levels, and that our engagement activities are embedded across the organisation.

In this busy role, you'll co-ordinate our national campaigns activity, helping to lead RNIB's national campaigns activity and strategy, working closely with our Senior Campaigns Manager.

You'll be managing a Campaigns Officer and a Campaigns assistant, providing coaching and support to make our national campaigning as effective as possible.

You'll provide strong project management for our influencing campaigns, whether campaigning to protect disability benefits, or to make streets and transport more accessible for blind and partially sighted people, for example.

You will bring our campaigns to life in a way that embeds lived experience and tells the story effectively for sighted people, driving them to take action. You will own content for our 'campaigner' audience, making sure our communications are effective, whether someone is new to RNIB's campaigns or is already a committed campaigner ready to go the extra mile.

This role will ensure that lived experiences are integrated into our storytelling, and will seek creative ways to motivate decision-makers or the public to take action.

Day to day, you'll collaborate with other teams across Policy, Campaigns, and Social Action to maximise opportunities for driving change, and will make sure national campaigning is aligned with our local campaigning, working with our two Local Campaigns Leads.

You'll also join forces with colleagues in RNIB's Engagement directorate to get campaigning fully embedded in our engagement and volunteering supporter journeys.

You'll have experience of project managing campaign activities, with a strong attention to detail, and an instinct for crafting compelling calls to action. You'll bring expertise in digital campaigns, with an understanding of best practice in digital and social content, as well as how to monitor the effectiveness of our communications.

You'll have a good understanding of disability issues and the social model of disability, and awareness of issues affecting blind and partially sighted people.

You'll be comfortable with collaborating with colleagues within and outside your immediate team, leading on the implementation of projects and coordinating day to day tasks.

You'll have effective verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge of how to adapt your communications style to suit the audience.

This might be your first step into line management or you may bring some experience of managing colleagues or volunteers.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Digital Marketing Officer to support our Marketing & Communications Manager. In this role, you will be involved in the development and delivery of a variety of digital marcomms campaigns, with a specific responsibility to support the Fundraising Team in their goal to increase donor engagement, retention and acquisition.

You will support the MarComms Manager to reach our audiences through a variety of channels, including email marketing, social media and ads, website content and impactful storytelling. This role requires a creative thinker, a data-driven approach and a passion for making a difference. Flexibility and a positive attitude are essential. Great writing and graphic design skills are required, as is an interest/aptitude for photography/videography.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning – Fundraising Team

• Work with Fundraising and MarComms Teams to develop and execute a multi-channel digital fundraising strategy.
• Identify target audiences and craft tailored messaging for different donor segments.
• Develop, track and report on KPIs to measure the effectiveness of digital fundraising efforts, using insights to refine strategies.

Campaign Management

• Support the MarComms Manager to plan and deliver integrated campaigns across PR, website, social media and ads, and email marketing.
• Work with the Senior Digital Marketing Officer to align campaigns with wider digital marketing activities.
• Optimise campaigns using A/B testing, donor insights and performance data to improve engagement and conversion rates.

Digital Content Creation - General

• Support the MarComms Manager and Senior Digital Marketing Officer with the development of digital content (with primary responsibility for fundraising), including:
  • Email campaigns and newsletters.

  • Website donation pages and landing pages.

Email Marketing

• Fundraising:

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Digital Acquisition Executive to join our growing Individual Giving Team within Public Fundraising at Prostate Cancer Research. This is a pivotal new role, offering huge potential to shape the future of IG at PCR and capitalise fully on our exciting growth trajectory. 

The last 12 months have seen significant transformation within our IG fundraising, with our regular giving base more than trebling. Building on this momentum, and campaigns such as last year's successful prostate cancer screening petition and our increased campaigning and public relations footprint. We are committed to strong investment in supporter experience and a genuine relationship-based approach to fundraising, ensuring all our supporters feel valued and exceptionally well-cared for. Recent positive media opportunities have further underscored our potential for growth. 

This role will be instrumental in driving continued expansion through digital channels, including paid social and email, with significant scope to identify and implement new, innovative, or novel acquisition strategies. You will be key to growing our supporter base and maximising their lifetime value through engaging digital stewardship and carefully crafted supporter journeys. Key Responsibilities  

Digital Acquisition and Fundraising 

• Develop and implement acquisition campaigns and activity to attract new supporters through social platforms, both paid and unpaid, search engine advertising, and email marketing. As well as novel and innovative platforms and opportunities as identified.

• Analyse metrics and data, reporting on KPI’s, budget and spend, and work to constantly test and optimise campaigns to exceed targets and improve return on advertisement spend / return on investment.

• Maintain a good level of understanding of our supporters' behaviours and motivations to create and implement stewardship content and journeys, feedback and respond to queries and enquiries relevant to IG activity.

• Work with the team to ensure all supporters are thanked and updated in an appropriate and timely manner and all interactions and activities are in line with our supporter promise. 

• Ensure supporter journeys are segmented and personalised wherever possible.

• Cultivate deeper engagement with supporters beyond transactional interactions, exploring opportunities for meaningful dialogue, feedback mechanisms, and a sense of community. 

• Develop and deliver personalised relationship-building communications and initiatives that recognise supporter loyalty and deepen their connection to the impact of their support. 

• Work with the wider PCR team to maximise opportunities for fundraising and patient impact including via cross selling with different audiences.

Database and Compliance 

• Hold a good working knowledge of key aspects of data protection law including GDPR and PECR, and the Fundraising Code of Practice.

Skills and Competencies 

Our ideal candidate would have the following: 

• Proven experience in digital acquisition for charity or social cause, or in paid digital marketing or advertising in commercial roles. With demonstrable campaign management experience and expertise setting up and managing campaigns in Meta business suite, Google paid advertising and email marketing.

• Evidence of leading successful digital / integrated digital campaigns leading to significant sales/income/lead generation. 

• The ability to monitor and manage income and expenditure against targets as well as forecast and report on digital campaigns across all channels. 

• Knowledge and experience of trends and dynamics in digital fundraising (ideally), including audience identification and optimisation strategies including with new technologies like AI tools. 

• Experience and a track record of working on landing page optimisation and on-site conversion funnel improvements.

• A good understanding of individual giving best practices, trends, and regulatory requirements.

• The ability to motivate and inspire audiences through content and creative writing and storytelling for digital channels.

• Experience moderating digital campaigns or working with others to do so (knowledge of issues and best practice) and providing excellent supporter/customer support as needed.

• A strong desire to provide excellent supporter experience and customer journeys to everyone who encounters our campaigns and communications or who gets in touch with us directly.

• A collaborative and innovative mindset with a desire to test, learn and work with stakeholders cross-functionally including internal stakeholders and external consultants or agencies, to develop new activities and campaigns, and achieve strategic goals.

• Experience working within Agile project management would be beneficial.

Acts 435 is seeking a dynamic and creative Digital Content Officer to play a key role in communicating the charity’s vision, mission, and impact through engaging digital content across social media and its website. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing a variety of content that resonates with the charity's community of donors, churches, and supporters. This role will help increase awareness of Acts 435’s work and contribute to growing its donor and church/charity networks, while maintaining it’s Christian ethos.

The role is to be predominatly home-based, but with weekly meetings in York, so the candidate must be reasonably local to York and the surrounding area. Due to the nature of digital content there will be travel involved when filming different partners and locations.

Interim Head of Digital

Contract: One-year fixed term maternity cover contract

Salary: £68,221 London hybrid salary (candidates required to spend a minimum of 40% of each month in London HQ) or £60,912 for home based or less than 40% time in London

Location: Ideally hybrid between home and London office with a minimum of two days per week (or 40% of month) in the office, with less time in office also considered

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week with flexible working options fully supported, including condensed hours and job sharing

Core responsibilities within your role will be to:

• Lead on the implementation of the new digital strategy, to support the delivery of mission priorities across the organisation
• Influence senior leaders to both develop in their confidence digital and champion digital transformation across the territory
• Lead and manage the Digital team ensuring that: objectives are successfully delivered, high performing team culture is embedded, and that employee wellbeing is at the top of your agenda
• Be responsible for development and oversight of the AI roadmap for the organisation, including an AI policy and implementation of AI in an ethical framework across the territory, in collaboration with IT and other business partners
• Work within the culture of The Salvation Army as a church and as a charity in both a responsive and opportunistic way, successfully working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, responding to the external environment and offering digital advice and solutions
• Be the strategic lead on the effective selection and use of digital channels for the organisation, orchestrating execution of campaigns and communications through digital to meet objectives
• Ensure product ownership and governance of key digital platforms to ensure continuous development, great UX and high availability by overseeing agencies, suppliers, platform providers to ensure objectives are met efficiently
• Collaborate with fundraising to enable them to meet targets through digital channels to deliver income growth and to meet digital specific income targets
• Be responsible for managing the Digital budget, allocating cost centres across digital activity including setting, monitoring, forecasting, and providing financial reporting as required
• Lead a culture of systematic learning and improvement; drive the use of digital analysis tools, data, results and the deployment of this in all aspects of digital development and lead on overarching programme to upskill the organisation on digital and AI, including bringing senior leaders on board
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on current digital and charity (digital) trends, technology and best practice through networking, attending conferences and horizon scanning
• Lead and be accountable for ensuring that all relevant digital regulatory, ethical and compliance requirements are met

• Proven experience of leveraging digital agencies or in house teams for digital channels such as website, email systems, digital advertising
• A strong understanding and experience of implementing relevant regulatory and compliance requirements related to digital and AI

You will have proven expertise of managing the delivery of paid search, social and display advertising using a range of targeting techniques including macro demographic and internet-based targeting, as well as micro audience segmentation-based targeting and re targeting techniques. You will manage the media agency at delivery level to ensure this activity is planned and monitored closely and optimised regularly to maximise impact and ROI.

You will also work alongside direct marketing managers to integrate with paid offline and DM/EM campaigns and with the website team to optimise conversion across the join journey.
