Battersea is embarking on a transformative journey with our Launchpad Programme - a major cross-organisational initiative to consolidate all customer and animal data into one integrated CRM system. As part of this ambitious project, we are creating new roles to support our teams as they contribute to programme activity.
Supporter-Led Fundraising has been identified as a major growth opportunity in our Income Generation strategy, and we have ambitious plans for it going forward. This contract role will independently manage the planning, development, and delivery of Battersea’s Supporter-Led Fundraising programme, as well as provide support to the wider Events and Supporter-Led Fundraising team on other projects.
We are looking for a Senior Events & Supporter-Led Fundraising Officer (DIY/Community), with experience in Supporter Led Fundraising programme development, who can hit the ground running to lead on the delivery of our ambitious plans.

Following the success and growth of the sporting and third-party mass participation portfolio (5% increase in income) over the past two years, we want to ensure we are set up to deliver the future growth ambition that will see Sporting Events income grow from £4m in 25/26, up to £8m in 2033, and are introducing this new role into the team. Sporting Events income at Alzheimer’s Research UK consists of third-party partnerships, Own Place in Event and challenge events, whilst bespoke/owned events sit within Sporting, they do not sit in this part of the team.
The Senior Sporting Manager will play a crucial role in the strategy, planning, delivery and development of all third-party and Own place in Event activity across the charity, leading a Sporting Events team of 10, with direct line management of two Sporting Events Managers.
Reporting into the Head of Sporting Events (HOSE) and working with the wider Supporter Led Fundraising department, this role will put the Alzheimer’s Research UK front of mind with supporters taking on mass fundraising third-party events, and with the third-party events companies themselves, making us charity of choice. The role will work closely with teams across the organisation, particularly the Regional Fundraising Team, Corporate Partnerships, Data, Digital and Marketing.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Support the Head of Sporting Events in the overarching third-party mass participation strategy to deliver ambitious growth between 2025 and 2033
· Lead on all day-to-day delivery of third-party sporting events (FY 25/26- £4.8m income stream): taking lead on Paris Marathon COTY and London Marathon COTY worth £2m
· Work with Head of Sporting Events to identify and pitch for opportunities, and maintain the sporting partnership pipeline
· Support Head of Sporting Events in driving efficiencies in ways of working, spotting opportunities, partnerships development, and sector networking
· Inspire and engage colleagues internally and ensure collaboration on any new opportunities, and cross-sell of campaigns and propositions where relevant e.g. TBH or Dementia Aware education
· Alongside the Insight team and fundraising portfolio team lead on all insight measures including impact and LTV
· Line management of two Sporting Managers
· Manage the day to day running of the wider Sporting Events team, providing clear goals and direction for the two Sporting Managers and the team underneath them (4 Officers, 4 execs)
· Act as second in command for any internal ARUK projects that involve Sporting Events
· Lead on ensuring Project Embed Salesforce works for the Sporting Events team, and processes are logged etc.
· Support the SLF leadership in team in driving forward against F&M goals
· Inspire and engage colleagues internally, delivering internal communications to ensure that Sporting Events activity is alive, understood and actively developed.
What we are looking for:
· Demonstrable and relevant experience working at a senior level in mass participation and third-party sporting events and influencing senior leadership teams.
· Experience in managing budgets exceeding £2m
· Experience managing agencies and suppliers and ensuring all contractual requirements are delivered on time and budget.
· Experience in business development- pitching and working through a pipeline of opportunities
· Demonstrable experience in managing a team of mixed levels to achieve goals and maintain a happy culture
· Experience of analysing and monitoring data in a consumer/supporter environment and utilising outputs to advise and drive forward activity.
· Skills in producing evaluations, reporting on objectives and sharing insights.
· Demonstrable ability to work with a variety of different internal and external stakeholders at all levels
· Willingness to travel throughout the UK and to work event weekends including overnight stays when required

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Legacy Marketing Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of our legacy marketing programme.
Legacy gifts are our single largest source of voluntary income, with significant potential for growth. To recognise this, we have secured additional investment to help us engage, inspire and acquire new legacy supporters through multi-channel marketing activities.
Working closely with the Heads of Fundraising Campaigns and Individual Giving, you will develop strategies to raise awareness of gifts in Wills, reach new audiences and develop new supporter journeys to engage new and existing legacy pledgers and prospects with our research.
As a creative, innovative and data-led marketeer, you will develop and deliver our legacy fundraising programme with the support of your direct reports – the Legacy Marketing and Legacy Stewardship Officers – and the Digital Marketing and Fundraising Communications teams.
You will also build important relationships with colleagues across the Development Office, including working with Philanthropy to promote legacy giving to their audiences.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will plan, manage and execute multi-channel campaigns across the marketing mix and work with your team to deliver exceptional campaigns and stewardship, to recruit, retain and engage our committed supporters.
You will:
- Work with your Manager to devise and implement marketing and stewardship strategies to maximise legacy giving and engage with existing legacy pledgers.
- Be responsible for using data and insights to innovate and maximise our legacy marketing campaigns to targeted audiences, and to develop, test and analyse new activities.
- Deliver legacy marketing campaigns that are fully integrated and cover the full marketing media mix (potentially including TV, email, direct mail / door drop, paid digital, events).
- Create inspiring copy and ensure that all campaigns, publications and materials fall within our tone of voice and brand guidelines.
- Undertake project management responsibilities required for the successful and timely delivery of multiple channel campaigns, in line with agreed strategies and annual plans.
- Be responsible for managing and the personal development of your team, to deliver their campaigns and activities, to agreed objectives and KPIs.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure the effective and timely delivery of campaigns and stewardship
- Develop new supporter journeys, tailored communications and events – to ensure legacy pledgers feel valued and stay engaged with our research.
About You

Working to the Strategic Communications Lead for Scotland you will be responsible for telling the story of our dormant assets funding across social media, press and digital platforms to a variety of audiences.

- leading on all regular announcements of dormant assets funding to the media and stakeholders
- interviewing young people behind the projects to produce engaging content for media features, case studies and online social media channels
- managing the yearly production of the Young Start Annual Report, at the request of the Scottish Government.

CSAN is the official agency of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference, tackling the root causes of poverty and injustice affecting people in England and Wales. We’re facing a steep rise in poverty and significant pressures on social, economic and church resources. At this time, the Church is called to raise a prophetic voice against poverty and the rhetoric of division and work for the building of a more just society.
In 2021, CSAN launched its strategy to extend the social mission of the Church in a post-COVID society. We are developing the infrastructure of the social action network of the Church in England and Wales, including new alliances for diocesan Caritas agencies, advocacy and migration. As our Senior Officer for Migration, you will help to raise awareness of migration issues from the perspective of Catholic Social Teaching and lead on our Ambassadors Programme against Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, as well as prepare briefings and campaign responses to Government legislation.
Over the last 20 years, CSAN has established a network of 50 diocesan and direct service charities, with a combined annual expenditure on social mission estimated at £400m, excluding the work of schools and religious congregations. Our members build up local community life in diverse ways, and many of them support individuals in difficulty, including with housing, prison and detention, social isolation, ill-health, violence, disability, employment, care, therapeutic and welfare support.
The key responsibilities of the Senior Migration Officer are:
1. To provide timely information to the CSAN team and the network on UK Government resettlement programmes and legislation on immigration.
2. To support CSAN’s work to improve public policy and practice on immigration, with compelling evidence from our network, and enabling effective participation in advocacy for a humane system.
3. To work closely with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales on issues of migration and human trafficking.
4. To lead the implementation of the Gubay-
funded CSAN Ambassadors against Human Trafficking programme, preparing and delivering programme materials.
5. To support cross-cutting key workstreams and alliances in CSAN, especially the Domestic Abuse alliance and racial justice, in partnership with the Bishops’ Conference.

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of students and equip them to put their faith into action?
SCM is looking for a recent graduate to spend a year working with us to help us to continue to build on the work of our successful Faith in Action project.
Run in partnership with Project Bonhoeffer, a small charitable trust, the project began in 2012 with a vision that Christian students in Britain would have a greater awareness and understanding of Bonhoeffer’s radical approach to faith and discipleship, and its implications for Christian living in the modern world.
The project has helped to run over a dozen campaigns from Food Poverty to Peace, and had an immeasurable impact on thousands of students through blogs, resources, and relationships. All of this is bringing to light many ‘Bonhoeffers’ of today negotiating the implications on Christian living in the world.
In 2021 we developed the Faith in Action project as a graduate scheme by employing two graduates to work on the project; one to lead on theology bringing a depth of learning and theological refection, and the other to be a campaigns lead, taking us always back out into the world to make a difference.
The project has been very successful, and now we are looking to grow it for further. We are looking for a passionate graduate to join the project for the 2025-26 academic year.
In this role, you will be a theologian to make other theologians, and will provide the framework for students to be able to reflect theologically on their life and modern Christian Living. You will be responsible for growing the breadth of SCM’s Faith in Action resources, and discovering new ways of connecting with the current membership via the trends of social media or engaging in face-to-face reflections. An activist to make other activists, you will coordinate social action for SCM, engaging the membership in social justice projects that maximise our impact in society and the world.
You will work to build relationships between SCM communities and members to equip students with the skills they need to become faith-filled agents of social and political change and lead them in theological reflection to discern their involvement in local and national campaigns. You will also work to develop relationships with other Christian social justice and campaigning organisations to create opportunities for students to put their faith into action. In all of this, you will be supported by our small but perfectly-formed team, who will share your values and fully understand your aims in this project.
The role will require some travel within Britain, as well as semi-regular visits to the office in Birmingham, which may also include an overnight stay. All reasonable expenses for travel and accommodation will be reimbursed. Some evening and weekend work may be required for which time off in lieu will be given.

A proactive approach is key to ensure that we are maximising all opportunities to increase income and to ensure that our data remains compliant and accurate. You will focus on marketing our individual giving campaigns digitally and physically, stewarding existing relationships and creating new ones, ensuring exceptional donor journeys throughout. You will have the opportunity to lead the creative development of propositions for direct marketing appeals collaborating with wider fundraising colleagues and the communications team, delivering compelling appeals and campaigns to generate income, to work with our beneficiaries and hear about their stories.

Purpose of the job
You will be an important member of the Senior Management Team, supporting the CEO to drive income growth. We are looking for an Interim Supporter Engagement Officer on a 12 month fixed term contract, who will be the first point of call for supporters across four areas of our fundraising programme: in-memory giving, individual giving (cash & regular gifts), community & events fundraising and social challenges/virtual fundraising.
Our Public Fundraising Team works closely together to steward our supporters, you would be responding to incoming queries, delivering established stewardship journeys and helping to shape the development of new ways of communicating with our supporters.
The role is a full time, 35 hours per week, fixed term position. We currently offer a hybrid-working model. This means you may usually work from your home or remote location, but are expected to attend meetings and pay for your own travel to the office in Angel, London when required.
