Job description

At Blood Cancer UK, we’re on a mission to make sure that everyone affected by blood cancer is seen, heard, and supported, no matter who they are or where they live. But we know that for many underserved and underrepresented communities, barriers to accessing support, information, and care still exist. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Community Outreach and Health Equity Manager to help us drive real change. Sitting at the heart of our Health Equity and Involvement team, you’ll lead the design and delivery of an outreach programme that tackles health inequalities head-on. This means working hand-in-hand with grassroots organisations, cultural and faith groups, and local systems to co-create relevant, place-based initiatives that raise awareness, build trust, and improve access to our services and research opportunities.

This is a highly collaborative and strategic role. You’ll use data and lived experience to identify priority communities, lead impactful outreach activity, and ensure the voices of those most affected by inequality shape our work at every level. You’ll also champion inclusive practices across the organisation and help embed equity into everything we do.

Expected travel for this role is: Approximately 2/3 days per month either in the office or at relevant community outreach events across the UK

We’re committed to equity, diversity and inclusion. We actively encourage applications from people from ethnic minority backgrounds, disabled people, those from lower-income or deprived backgrounds, and people living in rural or geographically underserved areas - so our team better reflects and serves the blood cancer community.
