Role Summary
The Digital Officer ensures Bliss' digital operations run smoothly. Their main responsibilities include website maintenance, supporting staff with digital needs, and managing digital best practices for tracking, reporting, and content. Role Details
The Digital Officer is responsible for maintaining Bliss’ website on a day-to-day basis making sure that the website’s functionality and content is of the highest standard and providing an excellent user experience.
You will use your digital skills and understanding to help edit, create and manage the Bliss website including regular monitoring through analytics.
You will work closely with the Digital Programme Lead on various digital projects will also work with different teams across the organisation to support their digital initiatives and needs.
The ideal candidate will ideally have experience of working in a digital or similar role, be able to work on their own initiative and have excellent understanding of user needs and creating digital content.
You’ll provide website training and support to colleagues across the organisation, as well as work with our digital agency on support requests and projects as and when required.
You will be motivated by an excellent understanding of the impact and reach that digital content can have, and be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience working in a digital communications or digital marketing environment
- Significant experience in using a website CMS and a range of digital technologies
- Significant experience of creating online content that is accessible for all audiences
- An understanding of search engine optimisation and user experience best practice
- Excellent written and verbal communicator, able to translate technical information for colleagues who may be less technically knowledgeable
- A creative, proactive approach to finding digital solutions and solving technical issues
- Experience of Google Analytics and other methods of measuring digital performance to help improve activities
- Good knowledge of digital trends and ability and appetite to keep up to date with advances in these and apply to Bliss’ work

Main duties and responsibilities

- Provide support to Editors and Co-Editors in loading resources onto the INSPIRE platform and integrating them to create learning materials. This will entail formatting and editing text, images and video for house style and grammar whilst maintaining medical/scientific accuracy.
- Checking consent and clearing copyright/licensing permissions for materials used in INSPIRE.
- Organising Editor and Co-Editor meetings and workshops.

Communications/Liaison

About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
The Role
Following a recent departmental restructure, we’re entering an exciting period for the newly formed content team. This shift in the team structure highlights our commitment to making best in sector content - all in the name of our mission; to ensure all breast cancers are diagnosed early and accurately in young people.
We are looking for an exceptional Head of Content who will be responsible for delivering our holistic content strategy over the next year. You’ll oversee the management, production and strategic placement of all organic content across CoppaFeel!’s channels, and in house paid campaign activations. You will help shape CoppaFeel!’s approach to content so that it appeals, resonates with and converts our key audience of 18 - 24 year olds, as well as our supplementary audiences, across website, email and social channels.
You will work closely with the Head of Marketing and alongside other Heads of Dept, bringing your expertise and knowledge to leadership discussions to help shape the future of the organisation. You will report to the Marketing Director and line manage the Social Media Manager and Digital Marketing Manager, and you will have exposure to the Senior Management Team.
This is a fixed term contract for 13 months.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.
