Your Role as a Fundraiser for Hope for Southall Street Homeless
You will secure £210,000 p.a. to cover the running costs of HSSH. This will include the salaries of five staff, grant-funding for emergency/ temporary accommodation for guests who wish to return to their home country (currently covered by a Government grant at 100%) and other running costs (eg insurance) and overheads (eg Third Sector body fees).
Your responsibilities will include :
Trusts
- To conduct an initial audit of existing Trust and Foundation donors to maintain and maximise potential income from these donors.
- To carry out prospect research using Fundsonline and other established Trust directories to identify new prospective donors.
- To establish a calendar-based pipeline showing submitted and planned applications, with required updates (including scheduled date, name, projected amount, and next action), to ensure timely and targeted applications and follow-up communications with donors (both existing and prospective).
- To monitor and respond to local and wider appropriate grant opportunities.
Corporates
- To scope local and wider district and borough opportunities for corporate partnerships, starting with warm contacts and existing donor networks.
- To build natural, face-to-face, contact and foster deep relationships with new corporate partners.
- To maintain a pipeline (as above) of corporate donors, prospects, communications, and planned approaches.
Community / Individuals
- To work with local community organisations and individuals, including those already engaged with/interested in HSSH and others, to raise awareness of the service, increase existing support, and generate new forms of support.
- To represent/showcase the work of HSSH through local events and forums, emphasising the need for, and the impact of, the service.
- In cooperation with the Social Media Management Group, to produce/ contribute to shared material/social posts profiling HSSH’s work and value, to the community, borough and wider bodies relative to our work.
- To prepare bespoke, scheduled, direct mail requests to individual donors, in the form of letters and e-mails.
- To maintain an up-to date information resource covering the issues relevant to local rough sleepers and migrants, to inform and evidence HSSH services.
Who We Are Hope for Southall Street Homeless (HSSH) is a charity founded in 2015 to provide a permanent night shelter in Southall. The need for this was identified by the Churches in Southall Leadership Team – at the time part of the wider Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter initiative – due to the high number of rough sleepers in Southall, at the time, over 31% of all Ealing’s rough sleepers.
HSSH is embedded in the multi-ethnic, multi-faith community of Southall and reflects that diversity in its Board of Trustees.

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities
Events Fundraising
- Develop and deliver the annual income target with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing.

- Maintain accurate supporter records on the CRM database and comply with GDPR and data protection policies.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Proven, extensive experience in planning and delivering successful fundraising or public events.

About the role

ADSS is Kent’s biggest independent charity dedicated to providing support to people affected by dementia. Summary of the role
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the role will support the implementation of our 2030 Fundraising Strategy in collaboration with colleagues in Fundraising, Communications and Delivery Teams. The post holder will have responsibility for maintaining and growing Individual Giving, through key digital platforms. Main purpose of job
The individual Giving Fundraiser will be responsible for the delivery of ADSS fundraising from individual donors, primarily through digital platforms.

Our supporters participate in a variety of events and have a range of motivations for giving to the Charity including families who are raising funds in memory of a loved one.

Donor Database Management:

We have a great opportunity for an Individual Giving Fundraiser with the renowned Marie Curie. Reporting to the Regular Giving Manager, this role will play a crucial part in the delivery of regular income and loyalty programme initiatives, joining 14 other fundraisers in the team to raise an impressive target of £11.3m per year.
This role will help to manage the existing supporters, acting as a steward to retain and develop these relationships. You will also work to encourage new and prosperous support through a range of platforms, including digital marketing.
You will work with internal and external stakeholders, deliver marketing campaigns, refining and improving the customer journey along the way.
To be successful as the Individual Giving Fundraiser, you will need:
- An understanding of all aspects of Direct Marketing techniques and methods for warm and cold activity
- Excellent teamwork and project management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with clear and accurate written skills and copy editing

We are looking for an Individual Giving Fundraiser to join a warm team with a large National health charity, to help deliver the successful annual direct marketing recruitment programmes. This is a maternity cover contract.
This can be a London hybrid or UK homebased role, with the requirement of travel once a month into the London office with travel cost covered.

The Role
Join a team to develop the marketing plan for individual online and offline campaigns with all stakeholders.
Manage the approach to audience targeting and segmentation, working with external media agencies for digital and cold direct mail campaigns.
Manage campaign budgets and ensure accurate and complete records are kept.
Research into projects, case studies, production methods and other charities approaches to feed into the creative process.
The Candidate
Experience in direct marketing for a charity.
Clear and accurate written skills and copy editing.
Ability to work at a detailed level as well as develop campaign strategy.
Good numerical skills and ability to manage and prepare financial information, and analyse campaign results.

We are recruiting a Digital Fundraising Assistant to assist in the delivery of our growing virtual events programme.
This is an exciting new role which involves supporting delivery of a wide range of virtual events at Sands, in order to grow our fundraising income. The role includes increasing Sands’ online presence across a range of channels through excellent stewardship of large audiences who are both warm and new supporters.
You will ensure delivery of a world class supporter experience using an omnichannel approach, helping our supporters reach and exceed their fundraising targets.
Working with the Digital Fundraising Manager, you will monitor the everchanging virtual challenge environment and consider how best to adapt our activities in order to achieve financial targets and remain innovative and a leader within the sector.
You will have strong communication skills and enjoy building relationships, especially within online communities. Additionally, you will have an understanding of a wide range of social media channels and an interest in creating refreshing, inspiring content.
A highly organised and efficient approach is essential in order to respond to large quantities of enquiries across multiple channels. Excellent written communication skills are therefore essential.
Relevant experience in creating engaging video, image and written content for different social channels is also an essential requirement.
This post is home-based. There may be the need to support Sands events at weekends and/or evenings and working hours can be adjusted accordingly.
