With the programme underway this exciting role has been created within the new Data Applications delivery team. This role, working within the Data Applications Team will initially be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Launchpad programme. Once the programme has been completed, this role will then be responsible for the ongoing delivery of future change and enhancement projects require for our new Salesforce Lightning CRM, MuleSoft AnyPoint and other related applications.

Once the programme has been completed, this role will then be responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance needs for the new Salesforce Lightning CRM and other related applications as they are launched.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a People Systems and Insight Analyst with experience in systems, data and reporting, and has strong analytical skills to join our passionate team.
As part of the People and Culture Directorate, you will play a critical role in managing and optimising our people systems. You’ll be enhancing the functionality of our systems and processes, so that we work efficiently and effectively, and our workforce has a seamless ‘user experience’.
Not only will you use your strong insight and analytical skills to investigate a range of internal and external data sets, you’ll also find compelling ways of presenting data to help us to answer key questions about our people and will actively make evidence-based recommendations that move us closer towards our goals.
But this is not just a number crunching job – to be successful in this role, you will be driven to seek out continuous improvements. You’ll be a strong and engaging collaborator and a skilled project manager, who builds relationships across the directorate, the leadership team and the wider organisation with ease. WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

- Manage and optimise our people systems, enhancing the functionality of our systems and processes, and resolving issues as needed to ensure a seamless ‘user experience’ for our workforce.
- Responsible for internal and external reporting, supporting various business processes (e.g. establishment, payroll and budget, workforce planning, benchmarking).
- Produce bespoke reports and dashboards for a variety of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation to support data-driven insight.
- Generate strong, evidence-based analyses and recommendations, and present data to colleagues in a concise and compelling way to improve organisational understanding of people data and insight.
- Identify and design improvements to our people systems and processes as needs arise, to drive effectiveness and efficiency.

WHAT DO I NEED?
The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:
- Significant experience of working with people systems (HRIS, ATS), including trouble-shooting, making improvements and implementing required changes and updates.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to extract, collate and manipulate data from a variety of data sources.
- Proven experience of analysing and interpreting data and disseminating findings and recommendations in engaging ways.
- Experience in using data visualisation software (e.g., PowerBI).
- Demonstrable experience of making improvements to processes and systems.
- Project management skills with ability to deliver cross-functional projects through effective management of internal and external stakeholders.
- A collaborative, partnership-oriented approach, with a passion to make a difference.

Impact and Insights Officer
We are looking for someone who has the ability to bring technical analysis to life in a youth work setting and can communicate insights in an accessible style to different audiences. You will be passionate about embracing the power of youth work and be keen to support youth zones in evidencing the impact created with young people.
This is a brand new, unique role to be an impact catalyst across both Carlisle and Barnet youth zones, generating support and building towards a ‘culture of impact’ in both organisations such that outcome measurement and impact reporting becomes routine and ‘every day’.
Position: Impact and Insights Officer
Location: Home-working combined with a minimum of 8 days per month across both Barnet and Carlisle youth zones (travel expenses will be covered as part of the package)
Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 (dependent upon experience)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract – 3 years

About the Role
You will lead on data analysis and reporting on the data held in Salesforce CRM, improving both the quality and quantity of monitoring and evaluation processes, driving improvements in data capture through training and upskilling the Youth Work team, strengthening the ability of both youth zones to demonstrate the measurable impact of youth work delivered.
You will also be responsible for measuring and demonstrating both charities’ impact to stakeholders; authoring and providing the necessary data to the leadership and fundraising teams and Board (as required), annual publications such as Trustees Reports and annual Impact Reports. Innovation is a key aspect of this role, involving the introduction and embedding of new methodologies to enhance the qualitative data capture process.
You will collaborate closely with a cross section of teams within the youth zones, working with the Youth Work delivery teams to feed data into decision making, and with the Communications and Fundraising teams to provide impact measurement and analysis content for use with stakeholders and in donor reporting. Furthermore, it will align impact and data work with national and local policy, and use national census, health, police and other statistical data to position both youth zones for new income generation opportunities.
