Person Specification 

• A practising Christian who is passionate about personally representing the Christian values of Resurgo and committed to Resurgo's mission to inspire and equip organisation to bring about ambitious and sustainable social change.
• Excellent relationship building and application writing skills. Experience in Trust fundraising or an equivalent field is desirable but not essential.
• Some knowledge of statutory fundraising is desirable but not essential.
• Extremely organised and efficient; calm under pressure, able to juggle competing deadlines and priorities, splitting time across multiple projects.
• Excellent people skills, able to relate well to colleagues of all seniority levels, freelancers, and external agencies.
• A desire to grow and develop; able to receive feedback on projects with humility, and confidence to give feedback and share ideas and expertise with team members.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

• Provide tailored, high-quality stewardship to a range of large and medium-sized Trusts & Foundations.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and build relationships with new Trusts and Foundations to further grow this income stream.
• Prioritise research to constantly develop future pipeline.
• Work with Head of Philanthropy and other senior stakeholders in engaging potential funders and managing strategic Trusts & Statutory partners.

Write applications and reports

• Develop compelling funding applications for Trusts and occasionally statutory funders, articulating Resurgo's vision and strategy to persuasively engage new donors with a focus on raising five and six-figure grants.
• Stay ahead of sector trends, media, and political context to market Resurgo's interventions in a compelling way.
• Develop general communications on the work of Resurgo to inspire and update our Trust audience.
• Produce reports and updates on the impact of our work for funders in a timely manner. 

Data Management and Monitoring

• Update our internal database (Salesforce) with all donor interactions, donations and other details ina timely and efficient manner and with strong attention to detail, and analyse data to give insights' and drive future activity.
• Manage the Trusts & Foundations and Statutory pipelines and report on income and other KPIs, and ensure Trusts & Foundations team meets monthly targets and deadlines.

Line Management

• Actively manage and develop the Trusts & Foundations Executive to help them grow personally and in their role.

About you

The Head of Member Experience is a high-profile leadership role at the College, responsible for shaping and delivering an innovative and inclusive membership experience for over 25,000 paediatricians and child health professionals globally. You will lead on membership strategy, operations, engagement, and benefits development; ensuring that our members receive real value and meaningful support throughout their careers.

As Head of Member Experience, you will oversee the development and delivery of a compelling member benefits offer, using data, insights and member feedback to enhance satisfaction, retention and income (currently over £7.5 million). Working closely with colleagues across digital, marketing, finance and careers, you will drive improvements in how we serve our members, from onboarding and services to communications and digital infrastructure.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Membership and Engagement, you will also work with senior leaders and committees, leading the reporting and analysis of membership performance, and contributing to College-wide strategic priorities.

You will be responsible for engaging with governance processes around membership, including overseeing changes to membership categories and election of senior member roles, and ensuring that member needs and insights are championed throughout the organisation.

You should bring significant experience of leading membership functions in complex organisations, including expertise in digital service delivery, budget management, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll also need excellent communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution.

A background in the healthcare sector, knowledge of governance matters, or a professional membership (e.g. CIM) would be advantageous. A formal project management qualification is also desirable.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the Web Manager:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and technically capable Web Manager who thrives in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong understanding of systems integration, user experience, and user journey optimization.
• The ability to analyse web metrics and data to drive improvements.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects.
• Experience in setting and managing targets, budgets, and project costs.
• Advanced experience with CMS (especially WordPress), Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, WorkBooks would be preferred but not essential.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, UX/UI principles and digital marketing platforms is highly desirable.
• Experience in project management principles - certifications such as Agile, PRINCE2 are a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of GDPR and data compliance regulations.

This is an exciting role that will rely on a strong combination of excellent organisational and account management skills to support the Partnerships Team’s ambitious fundraising strategy.

You will support the development and management of relationships with external partners, helping to enhance the team’s outreach, funding opportunities, and collaborative projects. This role involves administrative support, stakeholder communication, and event and volunteer coordination to ensure effective partnership engagement and experience.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills and understanding of corporate fundraising by supporting the Partnerships Team to develop and launch an exciting portfolio of corporate products and events, paying close attention to the evolving needs of partners in an ever-increasing digital environment. 

You will be involved with flagship events and campaigns such as the globally-recognised Baby Loss Awareness Week, our award-winning Sands United Football Club, Big Give appeals and sector-leading collaborations.

You will also draw upon your expertise and creativity by working on creatives and concepts with the team to increase engagement and further develop communication channels appropriate to a diverse corporate audience.

With experience of managing a corporate partnerships portfolio of at least £75,000, you will have managed corporate fundraisers including Charity of the Year Partnerships, cause-related marketing partnerships and sponsors.

We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail, is able to manage their time effectively and ensure the highest supporter experience. You will need to have strong IT skills including the use of a fundraising database.

This role will also provide support to colleagues within the Income & Engagement Department to optimise income and awareness raising activities.
