Job Summary
As England’s First Aid charity our website is the first point of call for diverse audiences who want to know more about St John Ambulance and how they can get involved and take action, such as support the charity by donating and fundraising, sign up as a volunteer, join our youth movement and learn how to do first aid.
As our Website Content Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our digital voice is heard. You’ll bring our brand to life on our website and ensure users have a seamless experience all whilst ensuring alignment with our brand strategy and audience engagement goals.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Significant experience in a similar role with the ability to evidence previous success of improving website engagement, conversion and increased traffic
Experience of developing, producing, testing and optimising website content as well as providing editorial & technical guidance/training to colleagues
Comprehensive understanding of content design, accessibility, SEO and UX principles. And know how to take this knowledge and use it to create engaging content and user journeys that supports our user and charity needs
Strong technical ability including experience of a content management system, GA4 to review website performance as well as a good understanding of UX and A/B tests
About the Role
You will develop and deliver a website content strategy that leverages our brand, the impact of our work and personal stories to compel people to support us online, become volunteers, as well as make sure that our sector-leading first aid information is accessible to everyone.
Develop website content and journeys to support high impact, brand-led, integrated campaigns and appeals that increase donations, volunteer recruitment and other objectives agreed by the organisation.
Work with our brand manager to develop brand guidelines, house style, photography and tone of voice guide for the website and ensure consistency across the site (and by content editors).
Be a key member of the website knowledge board to identify, prioritise and plan website improvements, projects and campaigns in line with the organisation’s strategic goals.
Develop and deliver a website content strategy, based on a thorough review of current performance and user experience.

Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16. Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects.
T&T has grown substantially over the last 5 years, and we are in an exciting time for the charity. We are reviewing our long-term aims and changing local needs to ensure programme delivery continues our extensive track record of positive outcomes. We also need to review our current contracted provision and best practices in the charity’s business and operations.

About the role
Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player?
We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.
You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).
The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team. We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to cover parental leave.
The successful candidate will have accountability for several key areas of operational delivery of BITC’s programmes across England, Scotland and Wales. This role will ensure the high quality and consistency of performance through these aspects of operational delivery and development, working closely with businesses, internal stakeholders and external partners. The post holder will lead on driving programme/contractual performance (both KPI’s and financial) motivating and inspiring the team. Job Purpose
The post holder will work cross-functionally to provide front-line administrative and transactional systems support to the People team and the Finance team. Finance Support: 60%
Support the Assistant Finance Manager in updating the Purchase Ledger:
- Ensure that purchase requisitions are received and processed on the accounting system in a timely manner,
- Ensure that all expenditure is recorded against the relevant nominal code and cost account, and that the correct VAT code is used,
- Ensure all suppliers’ invoices are attached to purchase requisitions on ApprovalMax
- Prepare mid and end of the month BACS payment run and ensure that suppliers are paid within payment terms,
- Receive and check all statements from suppliers,
- Investigate and action any issues that arise with regards to creditors,
- Regular review and maintenance of the outstanding purchase order and goods received notes report,

About this role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic fundraising professional, with a proven track record of income generation and a strong ability to develop impactful relationships with the skills to bring aligned individuals and organisations into our long-term EduSpots community. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. Job Summary
Chapter One is seeking a London Programme Manager from September 2024 who is an excellent communicator and is able both to motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to disadvantaged communities is maximised throughout the academic year.
The post is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base and who is able to travel frequently around London. Chapter One currently works in the following London boroughs: Barnet, Camden, Haringey, Islington, Lambeth, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Southwark. Dose of Nature is a mental health charity whose objective is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. We are looking to recruit a talented and self-motivated Senior Business Development Manager to join us in June 2024 on a 12 month fixed term maternity cover contract.
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Development, this role is essential to driving forward the implementation of Creative United’s business development plans across multiple programme and project strands. Key responsibilities include the planning and delivery of business development activities that build on our existing service offer, responding to the needs of the creative communities that we serve, whether on a local, regional or national basis.
This is a hybrid-working role that involves spending a minimum of 2 days per week at our offices in London. You will have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships through a combination of face to face, telephone and written communications. You will be comfortable working with minimal supervision to plan and coordinate activities that involve the buy-in of other staff and partner organisations. You will be able to inspire and motivate other people to work with you to achieve our shared goals and priorities through effective planning, implementation and evaluation.

Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week (8 hours within the hours of 9 am to 6 pm with 1 hour’s lunch break) + one day of weekend support hub per month
Working days: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (and one weekend day a month)
Reporting to: CEO & Team Manager
Location: Mostly office-based with once-a-month offsite location (office, occasional home and offsite) Office is based in the City of London near Bank station
Salary: £18,000 per annum for 3 days a week (Pro-rata of £30k)
*Overtime is compensated either by pay or time off in lieu
Holiday: Pro-rata of 30 days a year excluding bank holidays plus holiday office closure (before New Year’s holidays) and 1 day of annual mental health leave
Contract: 18 months temporary contract, 6 months probationary period
Start date: 1st July 2024 (Notice period will be considered with those who have notice periods) The first round of interviews will be scheduled for the week of 5th June 2024.

Facilitate educational and direct support programs, through data-driven research and community engagement

Create a stable foundation for projects, events, and development

Organise, run and develop The Vavengers award-winning support & wellness hubs for women and girls

Manage referral process connecting women and girls with other organisations and local authorities

Develop bids and secure grants to cover core and project costs

Manage the nationwide expansion of the support hub model

Build and maintain partnerships with aligned stakeholders

Lead and improve community projects through concept development, fundraising and relationship management

Support the C-suite with business development in line with the business plan

Support the wider team on events & campaign management
Day-to-day tasks

Organise, run and report on support & wellness hubs for women and girls, and be the face of the support hub programme

Support the community through referrals to local authorities and partner organisations on housing, immigration, food security and access to other essential services. Following up and communicating with beneficiaries throughout the process

Identify and eliminate safeguarding risks

Identify need gaps within communities and fulfil crisis and emergency management plans, help prepare the organisation for unexpected urgent response work

Amplify the voice of the communities we support

Identify and highlight the ongoing issues faced by the women and girls we support with the team and external stakeholders

Organise and manage programme facilitators and role-related volunteers

Map out fundraising opportunities and secure funding through written grant applications and manage funding processes from start to end including mid and end-journey reports

Develop and maintain the existing community ambassadorship programme by listening to community needs and helping to implement solutions

Maintain strong relationships. Including with Community Ambassadors, Wellness Ambassadors, programme facilitators, existing or potential partners and funders, and be a reliable point of contact for seamless communication

Expand community engagement through offsite outreach and partnerships with local councils, grassroots organisations, healthcare professionals, community leaders and sector partners (*The Vavengers works with over 150 partnerships across the UK)

Work collaboratively to ensure that new programs align with the charity’s mission, vision and purpose

Be an active advocate for The Vavengers mission and community
Additional Responsibilities

Oversee governance activities of volunteers (volunteer contracts, reports and management)

Managing DBS clearances and background checks for the required board, staff and volunteers and acting as one of the safeguarding officers of the organisation

Assist with and contribute to offsite educational workshops where appropriate

Checks and training: Please note, that this role will be subject to a clear DBS check.
