Job Title: Legal Casework Manager
Team: Programmes and Delivery
Location: Hybrid (split between home-working and either London or Cardiff)
*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £33,367 to £50,051. The salary on appointment will be set at the lower end of the pay range, to a maximum of £41,709 depending on the candidate's skills and experience. This approach aims to ensure fair compensation for new hires while maintaining alignment with the structured pay scale for the role.

Context and purpose of role
At Ramblers we work to empower the public and volunteers to take action to protect paths and access – by providing specialist advice and undertaking legal action to protect and expand the rights of way network. As a member of the Programmes team, the Legal Casework Manager will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the programme.
Key responsibilities
• Lead on the development and operational delivery of the Legal Casework programme, including processes for case assessment and selection.
• Develop a pipeline of legal action to protect and expand the rights of way network – liaising with external legal advisers, preparing documents for access to the Designated Legal Fund and monitoring developments.
• Be a source of expertise on rights of way law and practice, advising members of the public and volunteers on technical issues related to public rights of way.
• Provide training and support for volunteers on aspects of rights of way law and practice.
• Design and develop resources and processes to support programme implementation.
• Work with Nations and campaigns colleagues to ensure that relevant legislation and government policy and practice, at both central and local levels, are as beneficial as possible to the walking public.
• Ensure our legal casework is contributing to the delivery of our refreshed strategy by focusing legal action on priority communities.
• Be responsible for managing a legal budget in line with programme goals and objectives, to ensure best use of charitable funds
• Be responsible for evaluation and reporting, to ensure the programme meets KPIs and delivers measurable impact.
• Horizon-scan to identify key threats and opportunities for legislation and litigation and need for volunteer guidance and training.

• Work collaboratively as a member of the Programmes team, to share learning and develop innovative practice in programme design and development.

The person
Knowledge and Experience
• Expertise in rights of way law and practice, as well as relevant legislation and government policy.
• Experience of working with external legal professionals, including solicitors and consultants, and monitoring legal developments.
• Experience providing technical advice to members of the public and volunteers on specialist and issues.
• Experience drafting and proof-reading documents for submissions in legal proceedings (e.g. Statement of Case, Proof of Evidence).

General Overview
FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and supporting all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders, and partners experience this in our daily delivery.
As the Devon Service Manager, you will oversee all the adult ITRS team and be instrumental in developing and sustaining networks, partnerships and new networks across Devon. You will be responsible to the Head of Service and be part of the service manager team working closely alongside the other service managers.
Alongside your service manager colleagues, you will play a key leadership role in the delivery, development, and oversight of high-quality services for individuals impacted by domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking, as well as for those who use harmful behaviours. You will be part of a team managing a diverse portfolio of services spanning prevention, crisis intervention, behaviour change, survivor recovery, and professional training. These include in-person interventions and digital platforms, therapeutic services and outreach across all age groups and communities.
You will be responsible for ensuring that our services are trauma-responsive, culturally competent and inclusive, with a strong focus on safeguarding, survivor voice and best practice. You will support teams to deliver consistently excellent support, ensure contract compliance and drive continuous improvement and innovation in a changing landscape.
As part of the Service Manager team, you will also hold strategic responsibility in scoping new projects, supporting research and business development opportunities. You will also ensure that the wellbeing and development of our people is at the front of our management and leadership priorities.
As the Devon Service Manager, you will have experience working with health professionals in a management or training capacity, and a comprehensive understanding of trauma-informed practice and managing risk. This service takes an innovative approach to both delivering training to GP surgeries and providing therapeutic support to patients referred to us via surgeries who have received our training.
FearFree is committed to flexible and hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based and office based, alongside requiring travel for multi-agency meetings and other deliverables.
This role may include evening and weekend work when required.
Operational Responsibilities
- Service Delivery Oversight: Ensure the smooth and effective daily running of services across all areas—domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking, behaviour change, survivor recovery, and training—delivered both in-person and digitally.
- Leadership and Management: Role model trauma responsive and inclusive leadership. Ensuring all staff and volunteers are effectively performance managed and live the charity’s values and have all appropriate resources to achieve excellence in their field. Work alongside colleagues from across FearFree to provide support, assistance and management to over teams where required.
- Safeguarding and Risk Management: Lead on child safeguarding and act as Deputy Safeguarding Lead when required. Oversee safeguarding practices across services, ensuring timely risk assessments, safety planning, and escalation of concerns.
- Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: Monitor service quality through audits, case file reviews, feedback, and outcome data. Lead service improvements in response to learning, client feedback, and evolving best practice.
- Policy and Compliance: Ensure all services operate within legal, regulatory, contractual, and policy frameworks. Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with data protection and safeguarding legislation.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyse performance data to assess impact, identify trends, and inform service planning. Produce high-quality reports for internal leadership, commissioners, and funders.
- Partnerships and Representation: Maintain strong local and strategic partnerships with statutory and voluntary agencies. Represent the charity in multi-agency forums, commissioning meetings, and stakeholder events.
- Crisis and Incident Management: Support staff with complex or high-risk cases. Lead operational responses to critical incidents or safeguarding escalations in collaboration with senior leaders. Provide Duty Out of Hours cover as part of a Senior Management Rota for safeguarding and incident management.
- Volunteer and Student Engagement: Oversee the safe and meaningful integration of volunteers and student placements into service delivery, ensuring appropriate supervision and development opportunities.
- System and Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in operational systems and work with others to develop streamlined, integrated processes across services and reporting tools.
- Strategic Oversight: To take part in, and contribute to Executive Leadership meetings as required, providing operational guidance.
- Budgets and Financial performance: Carefully monitor and evaluate both financial and non-financial performance and create contingency plans to predict and rectify any variables. Contribute to the creation of annual and budgets and financial targets.
- Advising on new development opportunities: Utilising data, local and national knowledge, identification of unmet needs, professional relationships and best practice to contribute to new opportunities.

About the role
We’re excited to be recruiting a Communications and Engagement Manager to play a key role in shaping and delivering WWF Cymru’s communications and engagement activity.
Working as part of a small, multi-disciplinary team and managed by the Head of Communications (Cymru), this role focuses on building public understanding, mobilising support and strengthening pressure for change in Wales. You’ll work closely with policy and public affairs colleagues to ensure communications activity supports influence on Welsh Government priorities and decision-making.
Based in Wales, you’ll lead responsibility for defined areas of communications and engagement, while working flexibly across channels, campaigns and priorities. You’ll also collaborate closely with WWF-UK communications teams to ensure alignment with brand, messaging and wider engagement activity, while ensuring communications are relevant, credible and grounded in the Welsh political, cultural and linguistic context.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:
Events & Challenge Lead
Assist in the planning and delivery of Charity Right’s physical fundraising events, including but not limited to:
- Local charity walks and runs
- UK marathons and half-marathons
- International treks (e.g., Everest Base Camp, Kilimanjaro)
- International marathons and endurance challenges
- Support logistics such as registration, travel coordination, permits, supplies, safety planning, and postevent wrap-ups
- Liaise with event partners, tour operators, venues, and sponsors where relevant
- Ensure all events are aligned with Charity Right's values and fundraising stand Participant Support
- Provide first-class support to event participants from sign-up to post-event follow-up
- Help supporters set up and optimise their fundraising pages

About the role
As our Marketing Manager – Supporter Retention, you will lead the development and delivery of the supporter experience, stewardship, and loyalty activity within the retention and engagement programme. Ensuring a consistently high-quality Supporter Experience. This role is responsible for strengthening the emotional connection to WaterAid’s mission and maximising Brand Loyalty and Love by driving the development and optimisation of all supporter journeys and stewardship communications.
In this role, you will:
- Supporter Experience Ownership: Act as the champion for the quality of the Supporter Experience, leading the coordination and optimisation of all automated, multi-channel supporter journeys (excluding direct appeals).
- Key Channel Delivery: Own the content planning, production, and delivery for core stewardship channels, including the Supporter Magazine, Welcome Journeys, and Feedback Communications.
- Email Programme Management: Own the day-to-day coordination of the email marketing schedule across all stewardship and engagement communications, ensuring effective sequencing and segmentation.
- Programme Cohesion: Work with the Senior Manager and Income Appeals Manager to ensure cohesion and alignment across all retention programmes, safeguarding a seamless supporter experience.

Requirements
- Retention & Stewardship Expertise: Deep expertise in developing, optimising, and coordinating complex, multi-channel supporter loyalty programmes and automated journeys.
- Content & Experience Focus: Proven experience in improving the quality of the Supporter Experience and managing high-quality, long-form content production (e.g., supporter magazine) to foster loyalty.
- Operational & Technical Skills: Strong project management skills, experience in matrix management, and proficiency in working with CRM systems and email marketing platforms.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Experience in using testing, segmentation, and data analysis to drive optimisation and provide clear rationale for strategic decisions.
Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
- Product Development: Experience in New Product Development (NPD) for fundraising or loyalty programmes (e.g. legacy or emergency funds).

Develop, contribute to and implement impact-driven and strategic communications campaigns that build Kineara’s fundraising capacity and raise awareness of the issues

About the Senior Communications Lead
The Senior Communications Lead is a senior, hands-on leadership role, reporting to the Executive Lead, and responsible for shaping and delivering BBA’s cross-channel communications strategy. Working closely with the Executive Lead and team, you will drive increased awareness and understanding of baby banks, ensuring communications actively enable BBA’s wider goals around funding, partnerships and sector influence.
Average UK awareness of baby banks currently sits at around 33%. Building on successful national partnerships (including IKEA and ITV’s Lorraine), this role will take BBA’s profile to the next level, embedding baby bank experiences and voices at the heart of everything we do.
As a co-incubated organisation, developed with and for baby banks, strong experience of effective collaboration and understanding of the issues that baby banks are addressing, and facing themselves, is fundamental.
You will oversee all communications activity across BBA, line manage the Communications Manager and task manage the Communications and Projects Officer, and build a small but high-impact communications function from the ground up within a resource-constrained, fast-moving organisation. About DataKind UK
DataKind UK is a small infrastructure charity with a vision of a strong, thriving third sector that embraces data science to become more impactful. Effective data use has the potential to transform an organisation's impact by improving decision-making, maximising operational efficiency, and ensuring service delivery is evidence-based. A lack of access to responsible data science skills and techniques in the third sector means it isn’t having the impact it could.
We provide a variety of free and contracted support services to help third sector organisations achieve their missions, encourage innovation, and improve decision making, problem solving, and practices.
Since 2013, more than 2,200 DataKind UK volunteers have supported over 300 charities—from large organisations like St John Ambulance and Action for Children to local food banks and campaigning charities—helping them better understand their users, evaluate what's working, streamline routine tasks, and ultimately better tackle society's biggest challenges.

Essential skills
- Personable and skilled at relationship building and communicating with a variety of people - we work in a small, hybrid team, and with a wide variety of volunteers, charity partners, and other stakeholders.
- Skilled at collaborating with/managing people who are not your direct reports (e.g. colleagues, volunteers, trustees).
- Comfortable juggling multiple projects and priorities and making decisions about what to prioritise accordingly.
- Familiarity with digital software - currently we use Google suite for email, diary management and documents; Beacon CRM; Monday for project management; and Slack for team and volunteer communications. You may not have used those exact tools but you are comfortable with learning new tools and processes, to the point where you can clearly document processes and train others.
Desirable
- Experience of working and/or volunteering in the UK charity sector.
- Knowledge of charity governance / legislation.
- An interest in the use of data to support decision making in the third sector.
- Experience of working or collaborating with volunteers.
What we offer
- Working in a small, flexible, hybrid team where you are trusted to manage your time and your projects. If you need to switch your hours one week, or take time out of your working day to go to a dentist appointment, sit an exam, or for your child’s school play, go ahead! We are focused on outputs over time spent at your desk.

Working hours and location
This is a part-time role (14 hours per week). You can do this across two or more days, depending on your preferred work pattern. Working hours are flexible, but we ask that at least 75% of your working time is within the hours of 10am and 6pm UK time, in order to facilitate team working and real-time collaboration.
This role will ideally be hybrid / London-based. We can currently provide London office space on Mondays (Victoria), Thursdays (Shoreditch) and Fridays (Victoria). (Please note we don’t currently have any other staff members in the office on a Friday.) We will occasionally hold team days in London - you will be given advance notice of these dates. We may be able to offer remote working for an exceptional candidate, but our preference would be for a hybrid schedule with at least one day in the office (Monday or Thursday) per week - please note this could be a shorter day, e.g. 9-3 to accommodate other commitments.

The role
We are looking for a Senior Events Officer to join our Events team during an exciting period of growth. Working closely with the Events Manager, you will project manage a varied portfolio of Special and Challenge events, helping to grow income and awareness for the charity.
Our events programme includes events such as our Carol Service, Art Exhibition and Supper Club, alongside major challenge events including the London Marathon, Great North Run, Royal Parks Half Marathon and London Landmarks Half Marathon. As the programme develops, you will have the opportunity to lead on specific events and contribute to shaping future activity.
This is a varied and hands-on role, combining planning, logistics and on-the-day delivery with supporter stewardship, supplier management and collaboration across teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering a portfolio of special and challenge events, ensuring excellent supporter experience
Managing income and expenditure against event budgets and targets
Building and maintaining strong relationships with supporters, suppliers and external partners
Working with Communications and Marketing colleagues to promote events across digital, print and social channels
Collaborating with Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships and Community teams to meet shared objectives
Securing auction prizes, raffle items and pro bono support for events
Maintaining accurate records, databases and event administration
About you
You enjoy delivering events that combine creativity with meticulous organisation. You are confident juggling multiple projects, building relationships and working collaboratively across teams. You will already have experience of fundraising events or challenge events, with strong communication skills and attention to detail. Experience working with high-value supporters, celebrities or suppliers would be an advantage together with experience of event management software/word press or if not a willingness to learn, enhance and streamline systems.

About African Rainbow Family
African Rainbow Family (ARF) is a UK-based, lived-experience-led grassroots organisation working with and for LGBTIQ+ refugees and people seeking asylum of African heritage and the Global Majority.
ARF was founded in 2014 in response to the criminalisation and persecution of LGBTIQ+ people across parts of Africa and the Commonwealth. The organisation provides advocacy, peer support, advice, training and counselling, while campaigning locally, nationally and internationally to challenge injustice and promote equality and human rights.
ARF operates from its head office in Manchester and has centres in Leeds, Birmingham, London and Swansea.
About the Role
The Operations Manager role is a new and senior position within African Rainbow Family and will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s strategic and operational development.
The postholder will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the organisation, managing staff and volunteers, ensuring effective service delivery and leading on income generation and funding applications.
The role works closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Trustees, staff, volunteers and external stakeholders to ensure ARF operates effectively, sustainably and in line with its values and objectives.
