Job description

The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) is seeking a Digital Project Manager to lead and support the successful delivery of a new digital CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Diary project for our members.

Who we are

The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) is the professional body for speech and language therapists across the UK. The RCSLT has over 22,000 members and employs around 65 staff predominately based in a London office. The RCSLT also has offices in Belfast, Edinburgh, and Cardiff. 

Our mission is to improve the lives of people with communication and swallowing needs by facilitating and promoting research, producing guidance, holding events, and influencing government. We aim to promote better education and training for speech and language therapists and provide information to our members and the public about speech and language therapy.

The role

The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) is looking for an experienced and proactive Project Manager to lead and support the successful delivery of a new digital CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Diary project for RCSLT members.

We’re looking for a part-time, fixed-term professional to lead a high-impact digital project from discovery to launch. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the entire project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget. The project, the CPD Diary, is an essential tool for our members, and your leadership will be key to ensuring it meets their needs and expectations.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a Project Manager with a recognised project management qualification and a strong background in delivering digital or software projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills, along with strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, and an understanding of agile, iterative, and waterfall methodologies is essential.

Experience with Salesforce or similar platforms is highly valued, along with a strong track record in managing procurement, budgets, and coordinating contractors or agencies. You’ll also bring sharp risk assessment skills, a solid grasp of governance reporting, and the confidence to manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders effectively. Most importantly, you’ll understand the aims and values of the RCSLT and demonstrate the ability to embed these into your work and strategic approach.
