Role Description
Are you highly organised, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented? We’re looking for a reliable volunteer to support our Content Curator in auditing our extensive digital archive of over 3,000 lecture videos.
Time Commitment
Minimum 4 hours per week for at least two months.
Flexible working hours and remote working available.
Initial training period (first two weeks): must be available for half a day per week in our central London office.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your primary responsibility will be auditing our online video archive, including reviewing lecture web pages to ensure they contain all key assets:
- Video recordings
- Audio files
- Transcripts
- Lecture descriptions
This role involves repetitive tasks and requires accuracy, consistency, and mental stamina.
Following the audit, you may also help with:
- Writing short lecture descriptions where missing
- Sourcing or assigning appropriate imagery for lecture pages
- Other general content and data management tasks as needed

Responsibilities of the Job position
- To be responsible for updating the charity’s Facebook and Instagram on a weekly basis (except Annual Leave Period)
- To be responsible for updating the charity’s website
- To collaborate with trustees and fellow fundraising and marketing members on media projects.
- To carry out an audit on the charity’s social media output and deliver a presentation on your findings.
- To contribute to the continuous development of the charity’s existing marketing strategy.
- To partake in continuous professional development opportunities in both neurodiversity knowledge and marketing skills development.
- To be co-write and send a quarterly email update to members of the charity emailing list.
- To prepare and contribute to “Social Media Myth Buster” team-based discussions.
Key responsibilities & objectives of the job:
· To work with the organisation on a remote flexi-time monthly basis to complete tasks (with assistance from our Digital Marketing Lead with task delegation and organising) which could include the following:
(i) Training: Attend remote training events on Neurodiversity and/or Marketing during December, January, March and April.
(ii) Social Media Work: Work together with 2 fellow Marketing Interns to update the charity’s Facebook & Insta on a weekly basis (except Annual leave period) in either of the following monthly-allocated rotatory roles: (i) Researcher- Gather content/material for posts on a weekly basis, (ii) Content Designer- Use Canva to design content for Instagram & Facebook, & (iii) Facebook & Instagram Post Releaser- Release the designed post & attach captions on the relevant social media channels.
(iii) Team Social Media Debrief: Attend and/or minute take for a 15-minute Team debrief with your line manager over recent output. Meetings will be held in January, May, and October
(iv) Website Development: Update the website with QoL changes and other new initiatives during February, & August.
(v) Season Quarter Email Updates Meeting: Meet the Marketing Lead to plan content of the Quarterly Emails for the mailing list.
(vi) Season Quarter Email Updates Production & Analysis: Work together with fellow 2 Marketing Interns in the following roles: (i) Charity related updates co-writer – Co-write updates about successes of the charity that has happened in the last quartile, & (ii) Email Constructor & releaser- Compile the entries from teammates to send a Season Quarter Email Update to the email list. Both roles will also involve analysis of KPIs of the email updates.
(vii) Audit work: Prepare and deliver an Audit of the SPED Awareness Social Media Output
(viii) “Social Media Myth Buster” Team-Based Discussion: Either design and lead or attend and contribute to a team-based discussion with fellow marketing interns critiquing a social media post/YouTube video with a potential misconception about SPEDs.
(ix) Marketing Strategy Review Meeting: Work with our Digital Marketing lead to review our yearly SOSTAC Marketing Plan in June.

- Trustees may be invited to attend Pony Club events such as the Championships, the Pony Club Conference, and Trustee away days.
- New Trustees will attend an induction at The Pony Club Office in Warwickshire and are expected to complete NCVO Charity Trustee Induction Training if new to the role of Trustee.
- The role is voluntary, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

Events Officer has the responisbility of organising (along with the help of a Trustee Events Manager) our magical visits to children/adults with LD, this could be at the hospital, social groups, refugee centres, libraries etc etc.
They will monitor the chapter email for submitted event booking forms (some of these will come from events organised by the Events Manager on Trustees). These will then be added to the calendar and advertised to volunteers. They will ensure each event organised has a handful of volunteers confirmed within a week of the event itself. They will then provide information and support to a Lead Volunteer to run the events. They will ensure that regular events are being attended by volunteers and that they have the costume and materials that are needed for these. They will follow up after events to ensure social media posts are made, hours are uploaded and that costumes are returned. They will ensure that all volunteers are attending events.

Volunteer: The PR Officer of Hidayah plays a vital role in raising the profile of the organisation. World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people with experience of forced migration through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers refugees face in preparing for, and ultimately finding, work in the UK.
We are looking to expand our Experts by Experience advisory board for STEP, made up of volunteer board members who are experts by experience (EbE). The STEP EbE Advisory Board is a structured and collaborative way for World Jewish Relief to engage with external advisors (in this case, volunteer board members) to advise and help on programme design and decision-making. The members of our advisory board support our programmes with their knowledge and expertise to offer more specific help and ideas in managing different aspects of STEP.
We are now recruiting for a further 3 board members who are of Ukrainian nationality or Hong Kong BNO status / visa holder as we are launching a new STEP programme supporting these communities.
The board members’ responsibilities will vary depending on the topic of advice in discussion, however, suggested activities include:
- Board member meetings to discuss ideas and create recommendations

About you
Full training and ongoing support will be provided for this role, so you do not need experience. We are looking for board members who:
- Have lived experience of forced migration i.e. refugee status, humanitarian protection, people seeking asylum, and Ukrainian extension scheme
- Are of Ukrainian nationality or Hong Kong BNO status/visa holder
- Have intermediate and above understanding of English (B1+)
- Can commit to 2-4 hours a month
- Comfortable with IT, training can be provided
- Board members can have experience of being on STEP as a participant, but it is not a requirement. We aim for there to be a mix of experience with STEP on the board.
What you can expect from us
- Expenses: We will pay for any travel and other expenses related to costs incurred
- Equipment: We will provide any IT/ Digital Access equipment needed for the role.
- Induction training and materials will be provided as well as other training as requested by board members.

Role Summary
As part of teaching at Roots, instructors are supplied with many teaching resources to help them teach the Roots way, such as instructor slides, teaching notes and walk-through videos.
Your role at Roots is to produce well-curated teaching notes, to ensure instructors understand the content and know exactly what is being taught.
Key tasks

Deployment & Release Management: Handle app release lifecycle, from staging to production, for both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Infrastructure Management: Manage Firebase IAM and service accounts, ensuring secure and efficient access to our services.

CI/CD Implementation: Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines on GitHub for both application code and Firebase Functions, automating deployments across development, staging, and production environments.

Security: Manage and enforce security rules across all Firebase services to protect data and maintain a secure environment.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and execute integration tests. Manage and utilize tools like Firebase Test Lab and other paid testing software to ensure our apps are stable and bug-free b
