Job Purpose
 
As BSR’s Membership Manager you will be responsible for overseeing BSR’s membership offer. You’ll work on plans to recruit members across a range of roles in the rheumatology specialty and engagement tactics to ensure members are retained year on year. 

Working closely with the Head of Marketing, Communications and Membership, you’ll drive forward a compelling value proposition for membership by refining our benefits package and developing tailored audience content. With responsibility for our digital-first membership engagement plans, you’ll work on strategies that drive our engagement, provide real-time feedback and give us insight into how our members behave. 

You’ll lead and coach a Membership Executive to develop their skills and together, provide excellent customer service and membership experience. 

Main responsibilities

Membership recruitment and retention 

• Develop and execute strategies for acquiring new members 
• Engage in digital outreach and in-person networking to promote BSR membership and develop a deep understanding of our audiences and the pressures they face 
• Cultivate relationships with current members to ensure high retention rates and insightful feedback loops 
• Monitor membership trends and adjust recruitment and retention strategies as necessary
• Support strategic networking by facilitating meetings with members and the Senior Management Team/President(s)

Customer service and member engagement 

• Serve as a key point of contact for all member enquiries, providing an exceptional service 
• Ensure a positive experience for new and existing members with engaging communications, including regular newsletters and lifecycle campaigns 
• Organise and host events, webinars, and other member engagement activities to foster community 

Database and process management 

• Maintain an up-to-date and accurate membership database (CRM) and an internal super-user 
• Track membership renewals, payments, and communication preferences 
• Analyse membership data to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas for improvement 
• Oversee membership billing, including invoicing, payment tracking, and collection efforts 
• Monitor membership revenue and work with the finance team to report on financial performance
• Develop pricing strategies as needed

Reporting and analysis

• Prepare regular reports on membership growth, retention, engagement, and financials for the Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees 
• Use data and feedback to continuously improve the membership offering from BSR 
• Stay up-to-date on membership trends, membership models, and best practices to keep the BSR offer relevant

Person Specification

Join the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) as our E-learning Project Manager for the Radiology Integrated Training Initiative (R-ITI) — and help shape the future of radiology education across the UK and beyond.
We’re redeveloping one of the most respected radiology e-learning programmes in the world — R-ITI — and we need a driven, strategic and organised Project Manager to bring it to life.

In this 18-month fixed-term role, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of over 300 digital learning modules. You’ll collaborate with the Learning Development Manager, the Learning Technologist and the e-learning faculty comprising Subject Matter Experts (SMEs – who are doctors) while undertaking the project to relaunch these essential resources on our new Learning Management System (LMS).

You’ll not only be supporting radiologists in their professional development but you’ll also play a key role is helping ensure the offering is financially sustainable, enabling us to reinvest in growing our influence and impact globally.

What you’ll do 

• Oversee the entire life cycle of selected R-ITI modules marked for redevelopment, from establishing SME groups to review and update content, to working with learning technology colleagues to produce and publish them on time and within budget on RCR’s LMS. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals and objectives and provide support to the working groups whilst they redevelop the modules. 
• Develop detailed project plans including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation.
• Be responsible for overall quality control of newly developed content by working collaboratively with SMEs and learning technology colleagues to create accurate, engaging and effective e-learning content for our members. 
• Lead cross-functional teams consisting of SMEs, internal or externally sourced e-learning developers, designers, and quality assurance testers.
• Be the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing necessary support, troubleshooting queries and ensuring strategically sound decisions are made.
• Manage project budgets and promptly report any potential spending variances to the Learning Development Manager. 

What you’ll need 

• Excellent project management skills with evidence of delivering complex projects to the highest of standards, on time and on budget
• Experience of working with busy stakeholders, especially those who work on a voluntary basis
• Experience of developing e-learning content and working with digital learning platforms
• Experience of collaborating with doctors or other medical professionals would be advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills to help negotiate, solve problems, and share knowledge with all stakeholders where needed

This year, we’ve embarked on a bold, strategic initiative to enhance our data capabilities. 

We’re aiming to improve our data use, integration and analytics to increase engagement, maximise impact and drive forward our strategic goals. Across all of our products our Product and Systems Management team cover the following areas:

• Being fully responsible for the provision and management of the system
• Owning the list of user requirements. These are known as product backlog items (PBIs) and are drawn from user group meetings/discussions. These PBIs are then scheduled for build and release. 
• Manage the relationship with any external support companies for the relevant products and interconnected products and systems including accounting online, bank checking and deduping systems.
• Manage the data cleanliness, accessibility, availability and retention in accordance with our data governance and security policies particularly the information and data management framework. And develop and maintain automated processing of bulk data.
• Enshrine continuous improvement into the use and development of our Products.

Our use of Product Management comprises of all of our critical business systems (Finance, HR, Intranet, Microsoft end user applications).

Our Head of Product and Systems Management plays a crucial role in the development and delivery of our Product and Systems Management. This role is also responsible for defining and delivering the Product and Systems Management team’s strategy/roadmap and ensure they are delivered.

• Expert level experience of managing a Systems Support Team
• Expert experience of Product Management

Doctors of the World UK is part of the global Médecins du Monde network, which delivers over 400 medical humanitarian projects in more than 70 countries through 6,000 volunteers. Our vision is of a world in which vulnerable people affected by war, natural disasters, disease, hunger, poverty, or exclusion get the healthcare they need. 

Through our health programmes and advocacy, we work to ensure excluded people overcome barriers to realising their right to healthcare. As Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will manage a high-performing team of four staff: Database & Donor Manager, Communications & Engagement Manager. Community & Events Officer and the International Development Manager. Your key priority is to raise the income required as per the agreed annual income budgets for the organisation, managing all relevant income streams that include Trusts & Foundations, Events & Community, Corporate, Statutory, International and Individual Giving. The Director of Finance & Operations will direct, administer and coordinate the financial, governance, HR, IT and operational activities of the charity in accordance with company policies and the Strategic Plan established by the Chief Executive (CE) and the Board of Trustees, and to assure the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the planning, delivery and reporting of these activities.

IPSEA is the leading charity in the field of special educational needs and disability (SEND) law in England, and we provide free and independent legal advice and support to families of children and young people with SEND. We also provide training on the SEND legal framework, and we influence policy at both a local and national level.

We are looking to appoint a new Head of Fundraising and Communications to lead a very capable, motivated and collaborative team  and provide strategic leadership to develop an integrated approach between fundraising, communications and athletes/alumni engagement.

Over the last two years we have developed a new fundraising strategy, new partnership models and won an incredibly exciting strategic partnership opportunity that will deliver impact for 60,000 young athletes. You will be instrumental in taking the strategy forward and push our income and impact even further.

· Building community fundraising and alumni engagement and support the implementation of corporate partnerships plans

About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.

The Role

CoppaFeel! is looking for a Head of Public Fundraising who will be responsiblefor leading an emerging department at CoppaFeel! that holds both historic and new income streams. 

With an ambitious team, we need someone in this role to engage a diverse audience and raise vital funds to save lives.

You will oversee acquisition and stewardship, maximising income from audiences including individual giving, community, gaming, lottery, legacy and in-memory giving. You will lead in developing and delivering the public fundraising strategy. With a recent review of public fundraising at CoppaFeel!, you will be key in the support and development of unrestricted income, as we invest in new fundraising products, marketing campaigns and growth.

This department is important to our growth at CoppaFeel! and it is an exciting time to join as we are committed to investing in new income streams and need a dynamic, driven leader to drive them forward. You would be able to shape this department and role the way you see it moving forward at CoppaFeel!.

The Head of Public Fundraising will sit within the Fundraising team and report to the Director of Fundraising. You will have a team of 3, with 2 direct reports. 

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy

• Develop and deliver strategies to secure donations from individual donors, driving repeat gifts and income to meet your annual target and agreed KPI’s.
• Use your expertise in multi-channel fundraising including digital, direct mail, email and social media.
• Oversee and expand our fundraising initiatives including DIY fundraising, lottery, gaming, legacy, and fundraising appeals across all marketing channels to increase number of donors and donations and boosting average donation values.
• Understand and advocate for supporters, inspiring them to engage and donate, ensuring our thanking and engagement strategies encourage repeat giving.
• Develop new fundraising products ensuring our donor profiling analysis sits at the heart of new development.
• Ensure ROI and key performance metrics are used to make evidence based decisions.
• Work closely with Heads of Department to deliver the CoppaFeel! strategy.

Leadership

• Work within the leadership team to maintain the CoppaFeel! culture reflecting and championing the organisations values of positivity, creativity, community and impact.
• Work closely with all Heads of Departments to collaborate on projects and stay across the direction of all teams.
• Lead and inspire the Individual Giving Manager and Digital Fundraising Manager to meet their objectives and live the CoppaFeel! Values.
• Work with the Director of Fundraising and leadership in fundraising to set the ways of working and high performance of the team.
• Champion public fundraising across CoppaFeel! helping to develop a fundraising culture at the organisation.

Management

• Manage and support the Individual Giving Manager, Digital Fundraising Manager and oversee the Individual Giving Assistant, ensuring they have annual performance reviews, learning and development plans, KPI’s, and are supported to meet their fundraising targets.
• Responsible for the knowledge of regulation relevant to individual giving and public fundraising including GDPR and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Manage and oversee compelling fundraising communications and targeting external audiences using a range of direct response channels.
• Oversee the management of our new gaming fundraising strategy.
• Develop and oversee new fundraising products, including launching a new celebrity led fundraising initiative.
• Oversee and continue to develop our new legacy fundraising initiatives at CoppaFeel! ensuring we are stewarding legacy pledgers and legacy partners.
• Work with the Head of Finance on budgeting, reporting, re-forecasting income and ROI.
• Produce progress reports as required to the Director of Fundraising.

Administration 

• Develop dashboards with the Database Executive for ease of reporting KPI’s for Public Fundraising at CoppaFeel!.
• Ensure systems are kept up to date including Beacon CRM, and CoppaFeel! shared Google drive.
• Excellent record keeping at all times of public fundraising campaigns and communications on the CoppaFeel! shared Google drive.
• Keep diary and shared calendar up-to-date, shared communications across the organisation including desk booking systems, People HR, Weekly Round Up and contribute to team meetings.
• Ensure excellent financial records are kept including invoicing, contracts for suppliers, cheques and cash collections, and team expenses, following CoppaFeel! finance policies.
