About You: 

You will have experience of running effective national and regional campaigns using a variety of fundraising channels including digital, email, social media, direct mail, and telemarketing. With your good organisational and time management skills you’ll be able to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities under pressure.

You will have knowledge of google analytics as well as an understanding of fundraising regulator guidance, gambling commission compliance and GDPR.

About The Role 

• Manage the delivery of acquisition campaigns from concept through to evaluation, using data and insight to drive creative and production, drawing up schedules, and managing the approval processes. 
• Work alongside the Content team to research and develop acquisition products, journeys and communications, gathering information, case studies and photos for use in all direct marketing campaigns.
• Manage relationships with external agencies including media houses, designers and printers; to negotiate costs and monitor performance
• Working collaboratively with a number of internal teams to ensure effective use of supporter profiling for delivery across a range of annual acquisition campaigns.

Responsibilities

This is what the role might entail

Working alongside CRIN’s Creative Directors and communications team, you will:

• Write engaging and accessible copy for CRIN’s channels (website, social and digital platforms)

• Manage the communications campaigns and digital strategies for CRIN’s projects, events and activities;

• Manage content for our digital platforms in a variety of formats (illustrations, videos, audio and written pieces);

• Develop a new social media strategy and manage our social media channels

• Implement a shift in approach to CRIN’s Instagram, fully weaving it into how we communicate about our work and with our audience — beyond stats and followers — to build a community where there is mutual learning;

• Coordinate tasks for our Digital Designer and Graphic Designer as required;

• Manage CRIN’s newsletter, sending out regular news and updates to our mailing list;

• Manage website maintenance and ensure that key pages on CRIN’s website are kept up to date and search engine friendly;

• Support the Creative Directors’ work, taking CRIN’s existing research and policy work and reimagining it into different formats for different audiences;

• Any other responsibilities discussed with CRIN’s Creative Directors.

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Bid Writing and Management

• Lead in all elements of the bidding process which includes writing competitive bids within strict deadlines.
• Identify, research, and communicate opportunities and needs across the organisation, working proactively with colleagues at all levels to identify fundable initiatives.
• Host internal and external briefings and liaise with relevant teams to develop compelling bids which are fit for purpose, realistic, and aligned with organisational needs and aims.
• Lead the development of specific bid responses which includes the structure, content, and responses. Ensure tenders are submitted on time and achieve the highest scores by the evaluator(s).
• Develop and manage an internal network of subject matter experts and bring them into the development and writing process as required.
• Support colleagues in developing presentations, and briefings.

Partnership Building

• Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships internally throughout the organisation and externally with external partners and organisations.
• Represent Social Interest Group and our subsidiaries in market engagement and events online and in-person and support with all aspects of enhancing and developing our brand.

Organisational Growth

• Identify priorities from strategy and business plans, translating growth plans into effective practices aligned to SIG’s mission, vision, and values.
• Collect and share information relevant to teams involved in Mobilisations and TUPE’s for won bids. Ensure communication is clear, and concise, providing a logical strategy and direction to follow to ensure a smooth transition for new contracts.

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position. 

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities, this includes a track record of securing new bids and/or retaining existing contracts
• Previous experience in bid/proposal writing, reviewing, and editing
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, experience in Microsoft, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability and willingness to travel and attend market engagement events and to visit services to gain greater understanding of what SIG offers and to inform teams of relevant tender responses
• Ability to create and write engaging content, with proofreading skills
• Proven ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral and ability to build relationships
• Ability to review large amounts of information and research materials to inform model development and shape tender responses
• Proficiency in navigating tender portals

What we would like, but not essential:

• Previous experience managing the full bidding process end to end from pre market engagement and contract notification, through to award
• Previous experience working in the same or similar sector

Senior Media and Campaign Manager

Contract: Fixed term contract for approximately seven months maternity leave cover. With either part time of 4 days (28 hours) per week or full time (35 hours per week) options available.

• Identify and produce engaging stories, nimbly working with research, data, people's stories and leading complex negotiations with colleagues from across Hospice UK to do so.

Hospice UK are looking for someone who is collaborative, has superb news judgement and who is able to pivot quickly from project to project and story to story. You'll need a softness of touch when working with storytellers and hospice colleagues, and the patience and pragmatism to work with internal and external colleagues. You'll need to be decisive, and able to explain complex decisions to journalists and senior management. As well as strong media relations skills, we're looking for someone with a wider understanding of the full communications and marketing mix, and who will have some oversight and strategic control of the charity's digital channels.

In this brand-new role as Marketing and Communications Officer you will work closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager to deliver the charity's marketing and communications activities using a multi-channel approach to reach diverse audiences. Salary: £27,365 to 28,750 plus Regional Weighting (up to £4,454 in London). All staff also receive £600 per year work from home allowance.
Contract: Two year fixed-term contract, 35 hours per week
Location: Remote home based role with a small amount of travel four days per year to staff days. This is a national role and we encourage applicants from across the UK to apply.

Key responsibilities within this role will be as follows:

* Develop resources and digital content to support AdviceUK's marketing and communications programme, including emails, case studies, images, infographics, media toolkits, vlogs, blogs, articles and web content
* Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop and take lead responsibility for a comprehensive social media strategy that supports AdviceUK to increase awareness of its work and grow engagement with members and stakeholders
* Support consistent application of AdviceUK's brand by developing resources for staff to use and providing guidance to staff, members and partners
* Support the regular promotion of member benefits to AdviceUK's diverse membership communities, ensuring members are aware of benefits and how to access them
* Deliver agreed projects that promote the organisation's products and services, and propose improvements
* Support the development of AdviceUK's websites and member portal
* Support AdviceUK's programme of events attendance
* Deliver any required analysis of data and reporting to support decision making

We'd love to hear from you if you feel you have the following skills and experience:

* Prior experience of delivering marketing and communications activities in a similar role, ideally within a charity or membership setting
* Experience of delivering effective digital marketing campaigns including utilising social media, website, content channels and video
* Experience of producing email marketing including newsletters, as well as of developing a range of digital content including video and infographics
* Experience of monitoring the impact of marketing activity
* Ability to work with a range of digital tools including Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot), Wordpress, Google Analytics, Salesforce (or other CRM), as well as Canva, Loom and the Adobe Creative Suite ideally
* Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and creativity
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage own workload
