We are looking for a new Regular and Mid-Value Giving Officer – someone who brings a passion for hospice care and wants to play a part in establishing an integrated individual giving programme at the Hospice of St Francis.
This is an exciting opportunity to grow the Friends of St Francis, the Hospice’s regular giving programme, develop and test creative new approaches to regular giving and optimise the programme for the digital age.

The opportunity......
You will play a central role in growing and maintaining income across the Hospice and positioning us as the local charity of choice.
You will help establish an integrated individual giving programme, review and develop our regular giving offering, the Friends of St Francis, and establish a new mid-value segment.
This role will provide the opportunity to develop and test new ways to grow the supporter base whilst driving engagement and retention.
You’ll bring creativity and a results-oriented outlook, contributing to the wider success of fundraising at the Hospice.
The must haves......
- Fundraising Success: At least three years’ experience operating and growing income in an Individual Giving Role (or with relevant transferable skills)
- Data management and analysis: Strong data analysis skills with experience of approaches to data segmentation and developing data management systems and processes
- Project management and collaboration: Ability to manage complex projects, working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders

Purpose: The Fundraising and Admin Officer is responsible for delivering key administrative and fundraising activities that support the achievement of Vision Action’s income generation targets. The postholder will take a lead role in researching and applying to smaller trusts and foundations, while contributing to the development of larger funding proposals as needed. They will also support the coordination of fundraising campaigns and events, maintain the prospect pipeline, and identify new fundraising opportunities. Working closely with the Fundraising Manager, this role contributes to the effective functioning of the fundraising team and plays an important part in fostering a collaborative, impact-driven organisational culture.
KEY AREAS:
- FUNDRAISING (80% of time)
Trusts & Foundations and Prospect Research
- Lead on the development and submission of applications to smaller trusts and foundations (up to £25,000), including drafting proposals, tracking deadlines, and updating the pipeline.
- Maintain and update the pipeline of prospective donors across income streams (trusts, corporates, government, and institutions).
- Conduct desk research into comparable organisations, donor trends, and partnership opportunities.
Appeals & Campaigns
- Support the coordination of Vision Action’s seasonal and thematic fundraising appeals (e.g. World Sight Day, Christmas, Summer).
- Lead on the planning and delivery of smaller appeals, including supporter follow-up, donor profiling, and managing campaign logistics.
- Log donor information and engagement history accurately in Donorfy CRM.
- Support the development of appeal-related materials in collaboration with the Fundraising Manager and Communications Officer.
Events & Community Fundraising
- Support the planning, recruitment, and delivery of fundraising events such as the London Marathon and other sporting and challenge events.
- Provide guidance and logistical support to individuals, volunteers, schools, and community groups running their own fundraising events.
- Represent Vision Action at relevant fundraising and community events, acting as an ambassador for the organisation.
Donor Stewardship & Relationship Management
- Support the stewardship and cultivation of individual donors, sponsors, and prospects through phone, email, and written communication.
- Assist in developing supporter journeys for regular givers and community fundraisers.
- Process thank you letters and acknowledgements using Donorfy.
- Manage day-to-day donor enquiries via the fundraising inbox and phone line, ensuring timely and professional responses.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate donor records and fundraising data using Donorfy CRM.
- Produce donor and campaign performance reports as required.
- Support with administrative tasks related to fundraising compliance, filing, and data security.
- COMMUNICATION SUPPORT (20% of time)
Digital Media Marketing and Engagement
- Support efforts to grow Vision Action’s digital presence by creating engaging content for social media platforms, ensuring consistent and compelling storytelling aligned with our mission.
- Support membership relationship stewardship by developing regular updates, thank-you messages, and creative engagement campaigns to nurture and retain supporters.

Reporting into the Head of Major Gifts, you will be responsible for leading on grant applications from trusts and other grant giving organisations. The grants will often be in the five to six figure range, and will be for a wide variety of activities, including bursaries, the Fonteyn International Ballet Competition, local and national learning and participation projects, and more. The Development Manager (Philanthropy and Fundraising) position marks an exciting new chapter at The Carers' Centre. · Lead on the strategic planning and implementation of income generation activities to help build sustainability of The Carers’ Centre and its services for 19,600 unpaid carers across Bath and North East Somerset.

· Build long-lasting relationships with key local philanthropists, donors, and funders.

Job Purpose
As Corporate Partnerships Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting and growing Jessie May’s corporate income. You’ll nurture existing partnerships while developing and managing a robust pipeline of new prospects, in line with our wider fundraising and organisational strategy.
Your work will involve creating tailored stewardship journeys, compelling proposals, and clear impact reports that build strong, lasting relationships and deliver a sustainable income stream.

Main Responsibilities
Relationship Management and Stewardship
- Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, building strong, strategic relationships and delivering high-level stewardship to encourage ongoing support and long-term sustainability.
- Plan, manage, and deliver corporate cultivation and stewardship events, visits, and meetings with existing supporters and new prospects, while developing a corporate partnerships calendar of activities to enhance and grow relationships

- As directed by the Head Fundraising and Communications, deliver regular activity and income reports, and participate in the budgeting and reforecasting of corporate income.
- Represent Jessie May at fundraising events, including weekends and out-of-hours.

Conditions, including but not limited to the following:
- Checks: The appointment is subject to satisfactory references, DBS check and a probationary period of six months.
- Salary: £33,739 - £37,241 depending on experience. Salaries are reviewed annually, at the discretion of the Trustees, where the budget allows, with any increases effective from April.
- Pension: There is a group personal pension scheme that you are entitled to participate in, subject to the rules of the scheme. You will be automatically enrolled into the scheme, however there is the option to opt out. The employer’s contribution is 5 per cent while the employee’s contribution is 4 per cent of the pensionable salary.

The Role – Individual Giving Assistant Manager
The Fundraising Department of Chester Zoo, a major wildlife charity, with a mission of Preventing Extinction works to secure income which contributes towards the delivery of our strategic development plan and ambitious conservation plan, helping to ensure nature can survive and thrive.
Reporting to the Fundraising & Philanthropy Lead and working with the wider Fundraising team, the Individual Giving Assistant Manager will lead on securing and managing small to medium donations from individuals. This includes our newly created Patron Scheme, multiple fundraising campaigns and all challenge events for the zoo (including Run for Nature).
We are looking for a proactive and conscientious individual who will take a data led approach to raise money in effective and creative ways, working with our Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Data and Insights Manager to identify patterns and drive donations through individual giving. They will also manage and drive revenue through onsite giving mechanisms including in-memory, naming opportunities and point of sale giving – all whilst helping to strengthen our supporter base and foster their long-term relationships with the zoo.
They will work across the organisation to support our team of conservationists and scientists at Chester Zoo to engage, train and support targets within our strategically important field, education and science led projects.
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Fundraising Strategy: Help to develop and implement new plans to continue to grow our Individual Giving income led by the Fundraising & Philanthropy Lead
