Who we are looking for
We are looking for a Digital Manager to join our ambitious and growing type 1 diabetes charity, JDRF, as part of the digital and marketing team.
You will support the implementation of a digital programme plan to carry out the development and refresh of several digital products and platforms in line with user needs and business objectives. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, digital agencies and platform providers to ensure that developments meet quality standards around design, usability, user experience and accessibility, ensuring excellent experiences for our audiences. You will work on a range of platforms and will help to plan and manage day-to-day digital production, including managing two members of the digital team. You will also be a confident advocate for UX and accessibility best practice.
An experienced digital professional, you will have worked for a charity before in a similar role. You will be motivated by delivering high quality digital products and will be familiar with a range of digital channels and platforms. You will be ever-curious, always seeking to improve your skills and adopt new approaches.

What you will be doing as the Director of Service Transformation:
- Lead and execute services strategies and plans that extend and transform the impact and financial sustainability of the charity’s services and support for disabled children, young people and their families.

- Work closely with the other executive directors and leadership team to achieve the generation of an annual financial surplus to reinvest in Kids.

About you
We are seeking candidates with experience in managing the development, production and delivery of web content and digital products, including e-learning resources, videos, podcasts, and images, for a high traffic and information rich website.
The successful candidate will have experience of implementing a digital-first strategy which supports and refines customer-focused outputs. You will be versed in content management systems (e.g. WordPress), information architecture, and user-experience (UX) design as it pertains to effective usability and accessibility. The Digital Fundraising Manager for WWF International will work to deliver effective digital strategies and techniques across selected markets, with the ultimate aim of maximising short and long term income (primarily unrestricted). The post-holder will create and implement online donor acquisition and retention strategies, as well as develop a diverse portfolio of fundraising products for WWF International. The role is also responsible for providing vision and leadership for WWF International in the fast-moving area of digital fundraising.
This is an exciting time to be joining the team. WWF International is aiming to strengthen its digital fundraising capacity by optimising the current technical infrastructure (contact management tool, mass engagement tool, etc) and develop a strong online donor experience to acquire and retain donors in selected WWF International markets.
The ideal candidate will have significant levels of experience in the field of digital fundraising and of using digital to drive supporter action online and offline. This should include experience of designing, planning and delivering successful digital activities, such as designing and optimising the donor journey, SEM/SEO/SMO, social media (paid social) and/or digital advertising campaigns (paid search, Google grants) that generate incremental income. In terms of skills, you will need to be creative, entrepreneurial, be able to think strategically, design effective data-based action plans, and possess excellent project management skills. Finally, alongside strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, you will be proactive and results-driven with a ‘can do’ attitude to work.

Responsibilities and Duties specific to this role:
- Collaborating with the other manager on the following:
- Day to day management of the Easy Health website, website management and membership management.
- Day to day management of the Easy Health social media: Creating regular engaging content and posting to the Easy Health twitter and Facebook pages, engaging with replies.
- Co-creating accessible health resources alongside Generate staffs with lived experience of learning disability.
- Designing and delivering training, in collaboration with co-trainers who have learning disabilities.
- Promoting Generate’s health training and easy read work.
- Increasing Generate’s earned income from health training, easy read work and contract delivery.
- Delivering on all the Health Project contracts to increase the accessibility of primary care services and reduce health inequalities for people with disabilities in Wandsworth and the UK.
- Manage a team of consultants and sessional project workers, some with lived experience of learning disability and autism.
Person Specification
We recognise that not every candidate will have all these skills and experiences but are looking for somebody who can show us that they meet a high number of them.
- At least 1 year experience of coordinating or managing projects.
- Experience of website management using a content management system.
- Applied experience of creating accessible digital products and platforms.
- Working knowledge of social media, online campaigns & community engagement, creating engaging and inclusive content.
- Experience of designing and delivering engaging and informative training, including online and blended trainings.
- Knowledge about health inequalities for people with learning disabilities, and the challenges this group of people face in accessing healthcare.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues with a learning disability and neurodiverse colleagues – understanding of reasonable adjustments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adjust communication style to different audiences, and provide accessible information.
- Experience of managing relationships with a range of external stakeholders.
- Experience of promoting a product or service and creating new business opportunities.
- Experience of using person centred approaches with people with a learning disability.
- Experience of using design tools (Canva, the Adobe suite, Final Cut Pro....)
- Good IT skills including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK who specialise in finding homes for children in care. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. This role offers hybrid working, where you'll spend 4 days a week on-site in our London office and 1 day working from home.

Additional Information
