Role Overview:
The Talent Set is thrilled to be working with a fantastic membership organisation as they search for a Senior Sales and Marketing Executive to support them for an initial 2–3-month period.
This role is ideal for someone skilled in copywriting, data management/CRM, sales, and account management. Your main tasks will include collaborating with the Events, Marketing, and Membership teams to execute successful strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop effective sales and promotional email campaigns for 12-14 annual events, aiming for an annual event revenue of around £1m.
- Craft engaging marketing emails to boost engagement and increase ticket sales.
- Utilise email marketing best practices, such as A/B testing, segmentation, and personalised targeting.
- Proficiency in using email marketing platforms, with a preference for Dot Digital.
- Manage CRM systems to oversee sales pipelines and utilise external data sources and desk research.
- Develop and manage target lists for marketing campaigns.
- Strong administrative skills, particularly in Excel and Word, to manage ticket sales documentation.
- Assist in budgeting, financial mapping, and modelling exercises for ticket sales.
- Handle event bookings and related administration tasks.
- Analyse sales trends, feedback, and market trends, providing regular reports to colleagues and senior management.
- Foster relationships with both members and non-members, understanding their interests and needs to match with our events.
- Generate sales through various communication channels, including email, phone calls, and face-to-face meetings.
- Represent the organisation at events and network with members.
- Develop a high level of understanding of the organisation’s members and events to effectively target and sell events.
- Support the membership and commercial team with ad hoc project-based activities related to member relationship management.
Person Specification:
- Proficiency in CRM systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel for data management and analysis.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- 3-5 years of marketing/sales experience preferred.
- Excellent copywriting skills and the ability to present ideas effectively.
- Organised, methodical, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Professional and persuasive communication skills.
- Collaborative and consultative approach.
- Knowledge of private capital/financial services is an advantage, but not essential.
- Interest in or eagerness to learn about the private capital industry.

The Director of International Fundraising and Marketing will Serve as an integral member of Soi Dog’s Senior Leadership Team, actively participating in leadership duties, and contributing to the charity’s strategic and budget planning. Reporting directly to the International Chief Executive, the successful candidate will lead the International Fundraising and Marketing teams, ensuring they meet targets and objectives.
You will lead the creation, implementation, and management of International Fundraising, Marketing, and Communications, including active day-to-day involvement in all activity. To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate your experience in income generation roles, developing and implementing fundraising strategies across various income streams with substantial digital focus. You will be a strong fundraiser who will manage multi-million-dollar income and expenditure budgets and will be dedicated to an exciting next step in your career.
The successful candidate will be a full-time, permanent member of the International Fundraising and Marketing team and will be based in Mai Khao, Phuket, Thailand.

Supporter Retention & Development, you will play a pivotal role in the Individual Giving team. You will be working on the development and delivery of multi-channel (online and offline) activity and campaigns for Supporter Retention & Development including conversion, upgrade, reactivation, cross-selling, cash appeals & in memory income. You work towards building the Supporter Retention & Development programme, focusing on growing income, the supporter base and improved engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proven experience of Individual Giving / Direct Marketing within a multi-channel, multi-discipline environment to deliver significant returns and supporter satisfaction, especially through supporter retention & development programmes
- Understanding of the effective development and use of supporter contact strategies
- Strong project-management experience, creative development, and supplier relationships for fundraising direct marketing campaigns
- Experience of Individual Giving retention and acquisition programmes

We have three great Senior Individual Giving Executive roles at Great Ormond’s Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSHCC), in their individual giving fundraising team. The extraordinary Great Ormond Street Hospital sees 750 seriously ill children and young people from across the UK and this is your chance to make a difference for them. The purpose of the roles is to lead on the day-to-day campaign management as well as explore new digital channels to develop and improve supporter journeys and maximise donor lifetime value.
If you have experience managing campaigns end to end, are analytical and creative, this could be a wonderful opportunity to progress your fundraising career or use your transferable skills to get into the charity sector.
To be a successful Senior Individual Giving Executive, you'll need:
- Experience of individual giving campaign management or clear transferable project management and fundraising skills
- Excellent project management and communication skills, including in developing and delivering multiple marketing campaigns and working with external agencies
- Experience of writing campaign briefs and using data analysis to in inform decision making on supporter or customer contact strategies

What is the role?
The Director of Income and Engagement within Women's Aid is a key role within the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The role centres around building strong relationships, market analysis and forecasting, the ability to maximise business development opportunities and a vision of how to develop the pipeline of opportunities to achieve targets and inspire others. Main responsibilities include:
- Create and lead bold and ambitious fundraising and business development strategies, meeting an annual target of £1.5m restricted and £2m unrestricted income, and delivering growth in income earner of £1.2m annually
- Support the membership team in delivering the member value proposition; overseeing all membership interactions and directing strategy for engagement
- As part of the Executive Leadership Team, work with colleagues to develop innovative and practical ways to increase turnover and cost to income ratio
- Lead the Business Development team to develop and implement a commercial income strategy
- Report quarterly to the CEO and board of trustees on income generation
- Responsibility of the Fundraising and Business Development teams
This role is offering a salary of up to £81,795 and is largely remote with occasional travel to Bristol and London required.
What do you need to succeed?
- Significant evidenced experience of leading income generation in a voluntary organisation
- Demonstrable experience leading on the development of an income strategy and in identifying and nurturing income opportunities, securing donations and grants in excess of 5-6 figures from individuals, corporate sponsors, and trust funders
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written, with excellent networking skills and the ability to liaise and influence at a senior level.
- Experience sitting on an Executive Leadership Team and working closely with other Directors
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders at differing seniority
