Make a real difference to the lives of Afghan communities. In this role, you will drive change: stewarding relationships with public donors and fundraisers, supporting income generation and retention, maintaining high quality supporter data, and helping identify opportunities to grow engagement and income across these areas.
You will work closely with colleagues across the Communications and Giving team to support the delivery of fundraising appeals, donor communications and events, including the London Marathon, while also contributing to the smooth running of the London office through essential supporter liaison tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of individual giving activity and Afghanaid’s annual fundraising appeals, as well as regular giving and donor acquisition campaigns.

Summary of the role:
The Head of Income Generation & Marketing is a key member of Muslim Aid’s Leadership Team, responsible for executing the organisation’s fundraising and marketing strategy and overseeing all marketing and communications activities across the organisation. The post holder will lead the delivery of income generation plans, providing strategic direction and hands-on operational support to their direct reports to maximise income across all sub-department income streams. They will be accountable for growing and sustaining revenue from a diverse portfolio of supporters across the UK, ensuring income targets are met or exceeded.

About the Role:
- Design and deliver MA’s cross organisational fundraising and marketing strategy with a focus on sustainable and reliable unrestricted income generation. This will include key activities, areas of required investment, KPIs and milestones as well as the projected growth of fundraising income
- Increase and diversify existing and new revenue streams specifically digital, CSR and private philanthropy.
- Drive delivery against income targets by setting clear, ambitious, and achievable operational targets for each income stream, ensuring teams are supported to meet objectives aligned with Muslim Aid’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.

What the job involves
Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a wide range of activities, events and challenge events. As Senior Community Fundraising Executive, you’ll be a key member of our sector-leading team, raising over £5 million each year from individuals organising their own fundraising events and local-level corporate partnerships.
You’ll work closely with the Community Fundraising Manager to identify, test and develop new opportunities across our community fundraising programme, supporting our ambitious five-year strategy and growth plans. You’ll project manage mass-market fundraising campaigns to recruit, convert and inspire community fundraisers, working in partnership with colleagues and external agencies to brief, plan, deliver and evaluate paid marketing activity.
A key part of your role will be to design and own supporter journeys that use innovation, technology and personalisation to deliver an exceptional supporter experience. You’ll develop and maintain fundraising resources and incentives, making sure they’re effective, easy to use and continually improving. You’ll also be hands-on with supporters, building relationships with some of our top fundraisers and corporate partners to deepen engagement, strengthen loyalty and help them maximise their fundraising.

About you
You’ll be a confident, motivated events professional with charity sector experience and a strong track record of delivering successful fundraising events. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience delivering fundraising events, ideally including mass participation and third-party challenges
- Experience working in the charity sector
- Experience of line managing one or two staff, with a supportive, confident leadership style
- Strong event delivery skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience managing budgets and contributing to income targets

Friends of the Family Services

- 5s to 13s Befriending in which a child aged between 5 and 13 years old is matched with a volunteer who meets them weekly for a year. Time away from chaotic homelives with a positive role model, boosts wellbeing and confidence. Our team provides tailored support to the family.
- Support for dads - counselling and peer support for dads.
What you'll be doing
In this role you will be the first point of contact with all of our wonderful volunteers, who are critical to the success of our work. You will work closely to support the 5s to 13s Befriending Manager and other service leads to ensure smooth delivery of event and training activities. You will also support the wider charitable activity with your strong administrative and operational skills, including organising events, managing our database and general office management. We are continuing to evolve our services within the community, and for the right candidate there is also potential for increased hours in the future.

Coeliac UK is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Community Events Assistant to support the delivery of engaging events for people affected by coeliac disease.
Job Title: Community Events Assistant
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Head Office, High Wycombe (office based, requiring some travel around UK & occasional weekend working, with some flexibility for hybrid working.)
Salary: Circa £23,000 per annum

About the Role
You will help plan, promote and deliver events led by staff, volunteers or external partners. Working closely with teams across the Audience Engagement Department and the wider charity, you’ll ensure events run smoothly and provide a positive experience for all involved. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build a career in events or the charity sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration and planning of Coeliac UK events, including staff-led and volunteer-led activities.
- Set up and manage event ticketing platforms, including event emails, tracking links and monitoring marketing performance.
- Coordinate event promotion, including printed event supplements, website listings and volunteer event communications.
- Support event logistics such as venue selection, travel and accommodation bookings, equipment hire and supplier liaison.
- Respond to event enquiries from volunteers, members and the public via phone, email and online channels with professionalism and empathy.
- Support on-the-day event delivery, including set-up and representing the charity at events across the UK, with occasional evening, weekend and overnight work.
About You
We’re looking for an organised and enthusiastic team player who enjoys working with people and managing detail.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload, and excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling data and event information.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with volunteers, staff and the public.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with databases, ticketing platforms or WordPress is an advantage.
- A proactive, flexible and positive approach, with a willingness to support events outside normal working hours when required.
