Job description

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) helps ensure that the Further Education and Training sector develops world class leaders, teachers and trainers. We work across the whole FE sector and are funded by Government grant, commercial contracts, professional membership (The Society for Education and Training - SET) and accreditation fees and a variety of other business activities.

We are now looking to appoint a Marketing Manager who will have the opportunity to plan and deliver impactful marketing plans for an innovative organisation synonymous with high value and high impact.

This role will manage the planning and operational delivery of a range of activities, including implementing marketing strategies and campaigns, defining and engaging a range of audiences and stakeholders, monitoring campaign and strategy effectiveness, and developing and guarding the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) and Society for Education and Training (SET) brands. The Marketing Manager will have a strong focus on the ETF’s T Level Professional Development contract (TLPD), with oversight of a cross-departmental team to create, implement and monitor a marketing strategy which supports the delivery of this contract.

The role will report to the Head of Marketing and will be responsible for creating and implementing a best-in-class customer-focused marketing strategy. This role significantly contributes to ensuring the ETF and SET achieves its commercial, membership, and reputational aims.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be educated to degree level or equivalent, with evidence of a commitment to own professional development.
  • Have substantial experience in creating, managing and executing integrated marketing strategies, campaigns and content across all forms of media.
  • Be experienced in monitoring the effectiveness of marketing activity, adapting plans as needed to meet objectives.
  • Have experience in brand management, development, and guardianship.
  • Be experienced in working in a management role within marketing and communications department, collaboratively executing integrated campaigns and activities.
  • Have experience of managing, coaching and developing members of staff and/or experience of matrix working.
  • Be experienced in working with third party partners, suppliers or agencies.
  • Have excellent knowledge of the full marketing mix.

If you are an exceptional candidate who would like to make an impact and enjoy working in a vibrant and cooperative environment, we will welcome your application.

Applicants should apply by submitting a CV and cover letter (600 words maximum), outlining how you fulfil the requirements of this role.
