VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Operations Team and play a part in the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of our buildings and kitchens, ensuring that they continue to serve and support the ministry of HT.

This is a practical role, and will be responsible for carrying out cleaning, room setup, regular building related checks and equipment tests and compliance, cleaning, maintenance and compliance for our two commercial kitchens, along with other ad hoc tasks as required.This is a part-time role, for 30 hours per week Sunday-Thursday.

Responsibilities

Some of the key areas of responsibility for this role are outlined below:

Cleaning & Room Setup

• Ensuring the buildings and grounds at HT are clean, tidy and ready to be used for our different mid-week events and for our Sunday services, liaising with our contract cleaners and carrying out cleaning duties yourself
• Setting up for events and services, moving tables / chairs etc as needed
• Litter picking externally and ensuring our grounds are well presented and well-maintained
• Keeping note of stocks of cleaning materials, and ordering more as needed
• Ensuring our stocks of clean laundry are always sufficient, sending and receiving laundry and liaising with our laundry contractor as needed

Kitchens

• Keeping our commercial kitchens clean and tidy and overseeing record keeping
• Understanding and ensuring compliance with our requirements under the Safer Food
• Better Business food safety management procedures
• Ensuring our kitchen equipment is well maintained and arranging annual gas safety checks
• Carrying out daily checks
• Keeping track of levels of cleaning supplies and ordering more as needed

Fire Safety

• Carrying out weekly fire alarm tests
• Carrying out other regular tests and checks, such as emergency lighting tests & fire door seal tests

Health & Safety

• Understanding and ensuring compliance under the COSHH regulations
• Regularly checking and re-stocking first aid kits

General Maintenance & Ad Hoc

• Performing maintenance tasks as required, such as painting, gardening etc
• Moving items as need between our buildings and off-site storage unit

Personal Specification:

We are looking for a can-do, servant hearted person who is:

• Punctual, reliable and able to work effectively without direct supervision.
• A completer/finisher who is detail focused.
• Willing to go above and beyond when needed.
• Previous knowledge and understanding of COSHH and Safer Food Better Business regulations would be beneficial.

Terms & Conditions:

As an Employment Coach with our Employcare Project you will be supporting unpaid carers living in Manchester; providing support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid employment or voluntary roles.  The successful candidates will manage a small caseload of carers and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment and training.  You will be responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations.

This role is subject to a Basic DBS check.

About the organisation

The Environment Investigation Agency investigate and campaign against environmental crime and abuse. Their undercover investigations expose transnational wildlife crime, with a focus on elephants and tigers, and forest crimes such as illegal logging and deforestation for cash crops like palm oil. The Role

The fundraising team at EIA, is responsible for raising income across trusts and statutory funders, as well as raising funds from individuals. The income raised from public fundraising has increased in recent years and they are investing in this area to further increase unrestricted income so that we can conduct even more investigative and campaigning work to protect our natural world.

It is an exciting time to join EIA, as we embark on a new organisational strategy and a new fundraising strategy. This role is crucial to our ambitious plans to step change our public fundraising and ensure the best possible experience for all of our supporters. Responsibilities:

* Lead on the production of key supporter engagement pieces, the Year in Review and Supporter newsletters, including: curating the content, copywriting, data, as well as liaising with the mailing house and graphic designer.
* Plan, implement and evaluate digital and offline supporter-driven supporter journeys from all individual giving audiences, including appeals, digital, regular giving and the weekly lottery
* Work with the Senior Individual Giving Officer on the 40th anniversary supporter engagement activities

New Supporter Acquisition

* Weekly Lottery acquisition campaigns - promoting to both new and existing supporters, to acquire new lottery players and raise regular income.
* Digital lead generation and acquisition campaigns - to recruit new cash and regular givers
* Telephone fundraising campaigns - to recruit new, and reactivate lapsed, regular giving supporters using leads from a variety of online and offline sources.

Role Purpose

RISE strives for a world where people can lead safe, purposeful lives as a result of better relationships within families and communities; where harmful behaviour is marginalised and fewer people are victims of crime. In order to create safe communities, RISE empowers people to break their cycle of harmful behaviour. RISE’s programmes challenge attitudes and facilitate long-lasting behaviour change and are driven by the belief that people can make better decisions, given the right support. RISE are specialists in designing and delivering evidence-based, transformative behaviour change courses within the criminal justice system and wider community.

With the main objectives of reducing re-offending and helping to protect the public, the RISE practitioner will deliver a range of interventions (individual and group), that RISE may design, commission or be commissioned to deliver in the future in the community.

Avon and Somerset Police has commissioned us to deliver ‘Chance to Change’, a new informal out of court resolution (OOCR) Deferred Prosecution for 18–24-year-olds in Avon and Somerset. The Support Worker is key to the successful delivery of the Deferred Prosecution Scheme, and will manage cases from the point of referral, tracking progress and compliance. The Support Worker will act as a single point of contact to secure the offender’s engagement, working alongside other partners to address the offender’s needs, with the aim of eliciting behaviour change and reducing reoffending.

Key Accountabilities

Delivery:

• Manage cases with a range of complex needs and behaviours.
• Deliver a range of short interventions which include group work, one to ones, embedding a multi-agency approach in Avon and Somerset.
• Undertake holistic assessments that identify risk and protective factors, and develop bespoke support plans.  
• Work collaboratively with the Chance to Change partnership, including attendance at multi-agency meetings where required.
• Track service user’s progress and compliance against their individual Support Plan, reporting back to the ASCEND team.
• Adhere to relevant group work programme manuals and deliver programme sessions to ensure the integrity of programme delivery, which is overseen by the Team Leader.
• Apply specialised materials to support delivery to consider diverse needs, working proactively to provide a non-discriminatory service.
• Be responsible and accountable for working with Team Leader to ensure risk is reviewed on a weekly basis.
• Use motivational interviewing techniques and strength-based approaches in building a range of therapeutic skills to engage with offenders to address their behaviour.
• Encourage and facilitate learning with participants on a group, including proactively working to elicit behavioural change and acceptance of their behaviour.

Out of Court Resolution (OOCR) courses:

• Apply specialised materials to support your delivery to racialised and marginalised groups and adjust materials according to meet neuro-diversity needs, agreed by the Team leader.
• Use motivational interviewing techniques and strength-based approaches in building a range of therapeutic skills to engage with service users online and in person.
• Encourage and facilitate learning with participants online using variety of techniques like break-out, noticeboard etc.

Recording and administrative tasks:

• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all relevant data (needs assessment support plan compliance, attendance, feedback, mid-way and end of intervention reports) using systems provided and in line with performance standards.
• Ensure regular contact with the ASCEND team, recording and reporting back offender compliance.
• Maintain an accurate audit trail of all relevant communication with partner organisations involved.

The post holder will focus on building and stewarding relationships with our nearest and dearest in our north London community, including local businesses, schools, community groups, fundraising volunteers and event organisers and participants.

Community engagement and support is central to our ambitions as a charity. We're committed to making a tangible impact on the lives of our community, whether that be addressing health inequalities among local children, refurbishing wards within Whittington Hospital, or building gardens for the benefit of patients and staff.

This is a full-time post, but we will explore the option of part-time work with candidates. The role will require flexibility - with the ability to attend and support events delivered by community fundraisers.

The main area of recruitment is for our Enter and View activity and be the lead for Social Care Outreach. You will need to be able to work flexibly from both the home base and the office, with the need to travel extensively throughout Warrington.

The individual will also support volunteers to ensure they have everything they need to conduct tasks effectively and safely, and feel fully informed about our work, mission, and values as a Community Interest Company.

You will need to be flexible, and adaptive and motivated to look at ways we can diversify our volunteering opportunities and help individuals take action to empower local people and get their voices heard about health and social care. You will also be working with external organisations and partners, so you will need excellent communication and time management skills.

We are looking for someone with a great track record of success in fundraising, who can thrive in a small ambitious team. The Fundraising and Development Director will lead income and resource generation through development strategies, bidding and relationship building. We will expect you to represent our interests in a range of public and private sector contexts and expect you to be a confident and proactive verbal and written communicator and a skilled networker with a strong track record of relationship building. 

This is a senior role in an expanding organisation and is closely aligned with our growth and capital development ambitions with the next three years focused on capital fundraising alongside strategic project development.

The postholder will work closely with and report to the Chief Executive, you will also have a close working relationship with the Executive Director (Programme and Impact) to ensure the resources are in place to fulfil our programme ambitions. You will support the charity’s trustees to be effective champions of our work.

Citizens Advice Kingston is an innovative, welcoming and friendly local Citizens Advice office, and we provide a high quality advice and information service to local people across a range of topics. 

We operate a hybrid model of working which is heavily reliant on digital elements. The post holder will work with the Chief Executive and other senior staff to lead the team in maintaining and developing effective models of administration. 

The ability to work remotely as required and also support and supervise others using remote systems is essential to this role. Remote working systems rely significantly on the use of IT over a range of applications so a positive and creative approach to digital services and systems is essential. 

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and you will be responsible for the smooth running of the administration of the organisation. 

We are looking for someone with strong administrative skills and excellent computer skills, who is an effective communicator with experience of building relationships at all levels. You must also have experience of managing a diverse workload, and have strong planning and organisational skills.

Yeldall Manor is a recovery centre, supporting men with addiction problems to heal, transform and thrive. We are a healing community with a holistic approach and Christian foundation. We are situated in the countryside near Reading.

If you have catering skills, certification in food safety and hygiene (or willingness to gain this), and the ability to encourage, motivate and challenge, you could be the person we are looking for to join our friendly staff team. 

As a cook, alongside the existing post-holders, you would take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, working together with our residents themselves to provide lunch (up to 50 people) and dinner (up to 25 people). We are looking for someone who can work approximately one in two weekends and occasional weekdays. No evenings.

This rewarding role includes:

· Ensuring that nutritious meals are provided, and that food hygiene and Health and Safety protocols are adhered to

· Supervising residents allocated to the kitchen, providing meaningful and positive work for them

· Supporting residents by interacting with them and encouraging them in their recovery and Christian faith
