The purpose of the role is to drive and deliver our ambitious fundraising strategy in order to support the work of Life. The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for shaping and delivering the end-to-end experience of existing supporters as well as attaining new supporters.

Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and leading the Individual Giving Team, the post holder will work closely with colleagues across the fundraising and marketing teams to; create, test, monitor and evaluate appeals and campaigns, lead on Legacy (and in-memoriam giving) lottery and raffle and other income streams associated with individual giving. The post holder will be working to and reporting on ambitious income and expenditure targets and ensuring that supporters have a positive experience of the charity.

The postholder will lead a Donor Administration Manager to deliver on a positive donor/supporter experience with the aim of retention of current supporters for the long term as well as acquisition of new donors, maximising the potential of all of our supporters. It forms a central part of the overall fundraising strategy, with the ultimate aim of growing our individual giving income to increase the impact of the charity and benefit those needing support in pregnancy, pregnancy loss or in the early years of a baby.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, develop and implement a cohesive supporter journey strategy focussed on supporter needs and continuous re-engagement

· Champion best practice and stewardship with individual supporters

· Grow one-off donations and regular gifts and maximise the acquisition of new supporters through direct mail and digital marketing

· Co-ordinate all communications and messaging targeted at existing supporters

· Measure performance against campaigns and appeals

· Lead on marketing and communications around Legacy giving and the Legacy and In-Memoriam supporters journey

· Oversee the compliance of third party agencies to ensure activity is carried out in line with the values of Life, the Fundraising Code of Practice and the law

· Input fully into the wider fundraising strategy by working closely with fellow managers and the team as a whole

 

Information Management

 · Ensure data and information systems are up to date and provide an accurate picture of supporter segmentation, communications, preferences, permissions, requests, gifts and pledges

· Create regular and detailed reports to monitor individual giving performance against campaigns and targets

· Support the maintenance of the database to ensure records are updated, procured and implemented.

Personal and People Development

 · Ensure personal continuing professional development is maintained, including attending relevant internal and external development training and workshops.

Headway is seeking a new Justice Programme Manager who will expand the current services to have a greater impact on police and probation services, improving knowledge and understanding and the support offenders with brain injuries receive.

Purpose of the post

The Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role within HDR UK, as the key point of contact and financial support for the Institute Office teams. The Finance Business Partner supports key non- finance stakeholders to provide timely and insightful analysis and reporting and supports with the alignment of financial plans to operational and strategic priorities. • Lead on monthly reporting to Programme teams, including posting month end journals, meeting with Budget Holders to discuss performance and budget variance and providing commentary and analysis on reports.
• Work with the Associate Directors of the Finance team to plan, deliver, and review the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
• Support with the continuous review and update of the 5-year financial plan.
• Support with projects and new process development to continuously improve and evolve our approach to internal financial reporting and modern finance business partnering.
• Support the Finance Business Partnering function with ad hoc reports and grant management and reporting.
• Provide training and advice to individuals internal and external to the Finance department.
• Support the Finance Officer with ad hoc queries and helpdesk needs.
• Support the Junior Finance Business Partner in utilising JET Reports to generate monthly management accounts for our Senior Leadership Team and Budget Holders, ensuring their accuracy and timely delivery.

Experience

• CCAB qualified or part qualified, or with a minimum of 4 years practical experience in financial analysis or business partnering roles.
• Experience of grant or fund management, reporting, and liaising with external funding bodies.

The following is desired but not essential:

• Prior experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Prior experience of JET reporting software.
• Experience developing financial models.
• Experience of producing financial reports.
• Experience of working in the higher education or not-for-profit sectors.

GFS is a feminist organisation with a mission to empower girls and young women in England and Wales to live their best lives. Girls as young as 6 tell us that they cannot be themselves. This causes problems for them and society. So, we offer an early intervention service for girls living in areas of deprivation to have the greatest impact.

This is an exciting role with an opportunity to lead the charity into the 150th Year of delivery and with a new strategy to address need. It will involve working with the leadership team and all departments but also the board and their support committees, the ambassadors, and presidents as well as the wonderful team of volunteers across England and Wales.

A great deal has been done to prepare the organisation for such an important time and so now there is a real opportunity for this role to lead in being a figurehead for the charity and representing all that is achieved at GFS in national events and discussions, to best represent the girls of today.

Our new strategy is built around pillars of Impact, Brand and Sustainability with an ambition to grow in delivery as well as reputation. In this exciting role you will join the team responsible for the delivery of our iconic flagship appeal, Christian Aid Week. This involves creative development of new and engaging resources and fundraising materials, writing passionate and impactful fundraising messaging, and creating internal excitement and fun during Christian Aid Week. You will also be project managing mini innovation workstreams dedicated to re-imagining Christian Aid Week, allowing you to think outside the box and help grow Christian Aid Week income further.

About you

You are a curious individual keen to innovate the world of fundraising. You have knowledge and experience of delivering successful community fundraising campaigns. You are a confident copy writer, with the ability to influence, inspire, negotiate and build consensus at multiple levels. You are able to work cross-organisationally and to think innovatively and strategically about how to engage Christian Aid supporters.
