TPP are recruiting two Directors, on behalf of our client, a charity dedicated to supporting those at immediate risk of suicide, a unique proven model offering a warm and nurturing safe space in a friendly non-medical environment with befriending volunteers.

The Role:

As the Director, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of the charity’s model for those in suicidal crisis ensuring its success and sustainability. In this demanding yet deeply rewarding position, you will be working closely and collaboratively with your fellow Co-Director, sharing 24/7 responsibilities, and report jointly to the Trustees.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of the charity’s services and model, being accountable to the Chair of Trustees
• Rebuild and sustain client's culture, ethos and values. - integral to the model
• Manage and supervise and be a hands-on member of a dedicated operational team, together responsible for service delivery 27/7
• Lead/oversee the training, selection, supervision and development of volunteers
• Collaborate with the Secretary to manage service support functions, including IT/systems, house facilities, and media/external relations

Requirements:

• Professional qualification and experience working with those in crisis and/or mental health issues including applying psychoanalytic understanding
• First-hand experience working with and befriending individuals experiencing suicidal ideation

Purpose of Role

Primary responsibilities

• The Director is responsible for managing, hiring, and effectively leading the fundraising team towards the achievement of their individual targets.
• Maintains a portfolio of major donors and prospects by creating and implementing strategies for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors with the capacity to make 5- and 6-figure annual gifts and 6- and 7-figure leadership gifts.
• The position demands experience with designing fundraising strategies and good management skills for implementing strong, prioritised and focused work plans that achieve (or exceed) the agreed organisational goals.
• Overall responsibility of the annual revenue budget, ensuring reporting requirements as defined by the VP, International Development for monthly, quarterly, and annual budget and target monitoring.
• This position shall work in tandem with the global communications team to jointly create a positive, campaign-driven image of Smile Train in the United Kingdom.
• Manage Philanthropic Advisory Council of high-level Smile Train supporters.

Experience

• Minimum seven years' experience in senior level fundraising, ideally in a leadership role with oversight over end-to-end execution. 
• Knowledge of individual, corporate, foundation and major donor fundraising methodology including cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and prospecting of donors.
• Proven track record in leading fundraising and delivering income growth within a similar sized organization.
• Experience in a marketing and public relations role a plus.

Skills Required

• Minimum undergraduate university degree.
• Strong analytical skills, database proficiency and outstanding budgetary and financial skills, including target setting and monitoring and proficiency in Excel.

As Finance and IT Director, you'll lead the optimisation of our finance and IT systems to streamline recording and reporting of financial transactions. Your analytical skills will be essential as you explore cost and income centres, supplying vital data necessary to significantly enhance our fundraising efforts.

Beyond day-to-day operations, you'll play a strategic role in long-term financial planning, fostering collaboration across the War Child Alliance. Success in this role also entails ensuring our IT systems maintain the highest standards of excellence, delivering accurate and timely financial performance insights. You'll contribute to a vision where War Child UK achieves extraordinary results within a financially sound Alliance, empowering members to maximise their impact while being accountable for every penny raised.

You will be a qualified accountant with exceptional strategic and operational experience. You do not necessarily need to have prior international development experience, although you will need to demonstrate that you can build effective working relationships with overseas counterparts. About the role:

As Charity Director, you'll work closely with a dedicated and engaged board of trustees to provide strategic direction and operational leadership of OCAY. You'll oversee all aspects of OCAY's services, manage resources effectively, and ensure financial sustainability through diversified funding streams. This is a varied and broad role which requires agility, innovation, and a passion for supporting older and vulnerable individuals. You'll be an outward facing leader, looking for collaboration and partnership opportunities with other organisations supporting older people across the city of York. You'll get involved in the coordination of outreach activities to enhance OCAY's profile and service awareness alongside managing governance requirements, including communication with regulatory bodies, cultivating strong relationships with funders and partner organisations.

This role offers an exciting mix of strategy and getting stuck into the day-to-day operational needs of a small organisation, so the ability to balance strategic vision with operational implementation is a must. We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of achieving results and solving problems innovatively, while being confident in budgeting and financial management. We would love our Charity Director to have experience of income generation, in particular grant applications, as well as experience working with volunteer boards or management committees.

About Our Client

The Director of Finance is responsible for the financial management of St George's Weybridge, a £30m business with over 500 staff. The post holder will fulfil a wide range of responsibilities and roles in connection with the financial strategy, accounting and general financial management of the School. The post is the most senior finance professional on the staff and reports directly to the Bursar, who is effectively the CFO/COO. As such, the Director of Finance has frequent direct contact with Governors and the Heads and attends the Governors' Finance and Risk Committee meetings.

The Director of Finance is a member of the Business Senior Management Team and leads a team of 8 staff, comprising the Management Accountant, Payroll and People Accountant, Fees Controller, Interim Project Accountant, Purchase Ledger Assistant and two Finance Assistants. A new role of Financial Accountant has been established and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence this role and appointment.

Job Description

• Formulate the financial strategy of the School alongside Governors and the Executive Leadership Team (consisting of the two Heads and the Bursar).
• Attend meetings of the Finance and Risk Committee of the Board of Governors, preparing financial reports and papers and leading on financial items tabled for discussion or decision.
• Attend and contribute to ad-hoc Governor meetings and discussions as required.
• Alongside the Bursar and the Heads, implement the School's strategic financial plans.
• Work closely with ELT to formulate operational spending plans and priorities.
• Work closely with the Director of HR on people strategies.
• Exhibit the behaviours and standards befitting a senior leader of St George's Weybridge, demonstrating and promoting the School's ethos and values.
• Lead and manage the staff in the Finance Department.
• Bring financial risks and opportunities to the attention of the Bursar and Governors.
• Conduct modelling and feasibility studies as appropriate.
• Review and implement changes to the system of financial control and reporting.
• Oversee production of monthly management information and bring appropriate matters to the attention of the Bursar, Heads and budget holders.
• Prepare papers for, attend, and contribute to the dealings of the Finance and Risk Committee.
• Prepare financial appraisals and reviews of major projects.
• Prepare long term forecasts and sensitivity analysis.
• Undertake competitor analysis and benchmarking studies.
• Retain financial awareness of external changes and development and provide recommendations and advice to the Bursar, including a thorough knowledge of relevant accounting requirements, such as GAAPs, FRSs and the Charity Commission SORP.
• Proactively investigate and promote ways of improving value for money.
• All accounting functions including nominal, purchase and fee ledgers, fixed asset register and the payroll.
• Oversee the staff and systems delivering all aspects of payroll.
• The accurate and timely production of management and financial accounts.
• The internal control environment.
• Management and control of fee collection.
• Preparation of the consolidated statutory accounts for St George's Weybridge and subsidiary companies.
• Liaising with external auditors on all matters connected with the annual audit of the School's accounts and other external accountancy advice.
• Preparing annual budgets and termly forecasts, including cash flow projections for the current and future years.
• Maintain, review and ensure compliance with the School's Financial Procedures Manual.
• Preparation of internal financial management reports, accounts and briefing papers, including monthly management accounting information to include cash flow statements and forecasts.
• Control of the treasury management function in order to ensure the most efficient and secure deployment of cash.
• Ensuring compliance with external regulators, including HMRC, the Charity Commission and Companies House.
• Being responsible for accurate and timely tax returns and tax reclaims, with professional advice where necessary, preparing recommendations for mitigating potential VAT and any other tax liabilities.

The Successful Applicant

• Formal Accounting qualification and experience of working in the commercial, educational or charity sectors.
• Experience of compliance with legislation and regulations relevant to the position
• Experience of contract negotiation
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to analyse and manipulate financial data.
• Competent in the use of IT, notably MS Office applications and the ability to use modern financial software tools.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, and forming a central part of our Senior Management Team, we are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to take on the post of Director of Professional Standards. The successful candidate will lead a wider portfolio of responsibilities including accountability for overseeing first class education and training for psychiatrists, promoting recruitment and retention into the psychiatric workforce and leading on the College’s international workstreams.

We were formed in 1982 when we were set up to serve the mental health community.  We are based mainly on the site of Springfield University Hospital Mental Health NHS Trust.  Springfield Law Centre is unique as a working model of a health justice partnership.

We are seeking a for a new Director & Head of Legal Practice to take forward this unique, niche Law Centre.  There is an opportunity for expanding the work of the Law Centre and showcasing the worth of health justice partnerships.We are looking for an energetic and compassionate lawyer with a broad experience of either housing or community care casework and representation, who is capable of being a legal aid category supervisor in either area, who has the confidence to lead the team and to develop it so that we can continue to make a real difference within the community.

Qualifications and experience

1. 5 years’ PQE qualified lawyer, with demonstrable experience of management at a senior level.
2. Ability to meet the supervisor for the Legal Aid Agency contract in either housing or community care.
3. A track record of implementing and managing change. 
4. A track record of leading and motivating others demonstrating strong people skills.
5. A track record of innovation and problem solving.
6. Appropriate skills and experience that demonstrate an ability and commitment to manage staff effectively. This should include support, supervision, and appraisal and performance management.

The successful candidate will be a full-time, permanent member of the International Fundraising and Marketing team and will be based in Mai Khao, Phuket, Thailand. This role reports directly to the International Chief Executive Officer. 

Job Summary 

• Serve as an integral member of Soi Dog’s Senior Leadership Team, actively participating in leadership duties, and contributing to the charity’s strategic and budget planning.
• Lead the creation, implementation, and management of the strategy and associated plans for International Fundraising, Marketing, and Communications, including active day-to-day involvement in all activity.
• Manage and lead the International Fundraising and Marketing teams, ensuring they meet predefined objectives and targets.

Duties and Responsibilities  

Provides leadership for all international fundraising, marketing and communications strategy and plans by:

Planning and Management:

• Provide strong leadership and direct line management to the International Fundraising and Marketing team to sustain, develop and grow fundraising, marketing and other initiatives to maximise income and build engagement and brand loyalty from new and existing supporters.
• Develop and manage the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications strategy and associated plans to meet ambitious targets.
• Prepare and present reports on progress, income and expenditure to the International CEO and the International Board.
• Be aware of current legislations, technologies and trends that will benefit the charity.
• Close monitoring of international fundraising income across all sources, and managing the international fundraising and marketing departmental budgets.
• Procure and manage external suppliers and third parties.
• Ongoing risk management and mitigation, escalating risks to the International CEO where appropriate.

Brand and Marketing:

• Develop and lead on the marketing and communications strategies to expand Soi Dog’s reach and increase global awareness and engagement amongst our target audiences with a multi-channel approach.
• Ensure consistency in messaging and brand across all content including social media, digital and press releases.
• Continue to develop the strategy to proactively secure international press and PR opportunities to build brand awareness.
• Co-ordinate an integrated cross-departmental approach with Visual Creative Director and other teams including, Adoptions, Thai Fundraising and external contractors.

Fundraising:

• Lead the development of strategic plans and initiatives, in collaboration with the Senior Management Team and colleagues, to generate additional revenue streams, and grow existing, for the charity.
• Continuously review and seek new major giving opportunities across philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations and corporate partnerships.
• Ensure the team submits robust and timely applications for grants, and provide excellent ongoing stewardship including thanking and impact reports.
• Execute innovative and creative targeted digital fundraising campaigns across various social media platforms to drive donations.
• Oversee all fundraising activity and be the point of sign off for all communications and outgoing campaigns.
• Cultivate existing relationships with long-standing supporters to maintain stability in regular giving.
• Expand networks and maintaining regular communication with philanthropists, major gift donors, and prospects to establish strong relationships and negotiate ongoing opportunities for support and partnerships.
• Manage relationships with external agencies and contractors to optimise return on investment.
• Ensure accurate and timely income projections and reports, fostering a culture of performance and ambition.
• Keep up to date and comply with current Fundraising legislation and standards of each country and/or regions.

• Proven experience in a senior fundraising and marketing role, with a track record of meeting substantial targets and managing multi-million-dollar income and expenditure budgets.
• Outstanding and demonstrable track record of developing and successfully implementing fundraising strategies across a broad range of income streams.
