Summary of Role:

Join Muslim Aid as the Director of Operations to steer our strategic alignment and operational excellence across global initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating with senior directors, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our International Programmes, Income Generation and Marketing departments. This position is based in London and is a vital part of our mission to deliver impactful, efficient, and accountable operations worldwide.

About the Role:

1. Work alongside the CEO and senior leadership to craft and execute strategic plans, ensuring it aligns with our broader goals.
2. Prepare and present comprehensive operational reports at board meetings and committee meetings throughout the year, offering strategic insights and recommendations.
3. Oversee the management of the Head of International Programmes and Head of Income Generation and Marketing, ensuring strategies and operations align with overall goals of Muslim Aid.

About You:

1. Proven experience in a leadership role within the non-profit sector, preferably in an international context.
2. Experience in overseeing programmatic and income generation activities, demonstrating the ability to integrate these functions effectively.
3. Proven experience in successfully raising funds from diverse income streams such as grants, donations, sponsorships, events, and partnerships.
4. Experience in managing diverse teams and complex projects across multiple countries and contexts.
5. Proven experience in change management and driving organisational development initiatives.
6. Proven financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Legal Director will lead Good Law Project’s legal work and support the wider leadership of Good Law Project as a member of its senior management team (SMT).

Development Director

Main Purpose and Scope of the Role

The Development Director will be a key part of the Action4Youth Senior Management Team, contributing to strategic development of the whole organisation and taking responsibility for the leadership and management of all aspects of business development, sales, fundraising, marketing and communications.

The Development Director will ensure development to support the Strategic and Operational Plans in order to achieve growth, sustainability and stability and to support the Action4Youth core offer i.e.  programme delivery and outdoor education.

Because Action4Youth is a relatively small organisation, teams are small and this means that even senior members of the team like Directors may have to cover for a team member when on leave or generally help out as necessary to achieve targets. In this particular role, that could mean undertaking basic tasks like completing a funding bid to meet a deadline, updating a webpage, writing blog posts or handling sales calls. This job is unusual in genuinely being both strategic and hands on.

Networking is an important part of this role so the post holder will often be expected to attend out of hours events to represent Action4Youth and to develop valuable relationships and connections.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance has an exciting opportunity for an Aviation Director to join the Executive Team and to be responsible for all aspects of aviation and other, non-clinical, operational activities.  Also, as part of EHAAT’s strategic plan to gain its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in late 2025, the Aviation Director will form and lead the new AOC team supported by our experienced AOC transition Programme Manager.  As the AOC Accountable Manager, they will be responsible for all aspects of the safe, compliant and effective operation of our 2 AW169 helicopters in their life-saving role.

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a charity. This free life-saving service is provided 24/7 by helicopters and rapid response vehicles.

Each critical care team consists of a pilot and co-pilot, a pre-hospital care doctor and a critical care paramedic.

They can be rushed to the scene with life-saving support equipment to deliver advanced clinical care, usually only in the hospital emergency department.

Once stabilised, the patient will be conveyed to the most appropriate hospital by air or land.

As the Associate Director of Donor Experience & Events, you will design and deliver a gold-standard donor experience which focuses on donors/supporters recognition, retention and uplift, and which is fit for donors who have given at transformational levels. Your and your team's work will not only be integral to the growth of a culture of philanthropy at UCL, but it will also be responsible for the launch events for our biggest ever fundraising and engagement campaign in 2026.

The Opportunity

The Business Development Director will have strategic responsibility for income and growth, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to maximise business opportunities. You will lead development of key partnerships with new and existing stakeholders, commercialisation of services, and lead the communications and marketing strategy. You will lead the implementation and development of income generation, developing and implementing strategies to drive all income streams to drive growth. You will develop a pipeline to maximise income from corporate partnerships, (including training), whilst looking at diversifying the portfolio to generate new business

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience/success in a leadership role in Charity Income Generation and sustainable business development

We need a new Director of Communications.  You’ll be responsible for helping us communicate the Gospel and the great work we do in our communities, and telling the good news stories that encourage and inspire us as we embark on our strategy to deliver the Diocesan vision to “bless the 1.5 million people” in our diocese who currently have no meaningful connection with our worshipping communities.  We need someone who can catalyse everyone in the diocese to be better communicators.

The Director of Development and External Affairs will determine a strategic plan for business development, fundraising and commercial opportunities within the remit of the role. Supported by a small Development team, this will include corporate sponsorship, hire and hospitality, filming and photography location shooting, as well as fundraising revenue streams. You will manage both capital and revenue income targets and support an experienced Audience & Communications team to increase visitor attendance to achieve c. 400,000 visitors per year. Crucially you will deputise for the Chief Executive where appropriate.

The selected candidate will have leadership experience in an organisation of at least comparable scale and complexity and will have a track record of developing and delivering successful strategies across, fundraising and business development and preferably marketing. INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE

The Director of People and Culture leads on fostering a positive work environment in order to help develop a strong organisational culture, providing high quality leadership and oversight on the development and delivery of Girls Not Brides’ People and Culture strategy. As a people and culture senior level professional, you will have an evidential understanding of all aspects of HR practices, both UK and International. This is a pivotal role supporting the transformation of Girls Not Brides, leading the delivery of a workforce strategy that ensures we have a stable, sustainable, skilled, dynamic, and diverse workforce capable of delivering the goals of the organisation. You will be someone who can balance creativity with pragmatism, and expertise with a desire to learn, and a demonstrable alignment with our commitment to championing well-being, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). The role contributes to and plays a critical role in broad organisational leadership and strategic development, partnering with the senior leadership team in strategic decision-making.

Contract

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning and Organisational Leadership

• Lead the development and implementation of Girls Not Brides’ people and culture strategies to deliver on the vision, mission and goals set out in the Secretariat and Partnership strategies, 2022-2025.
• Lead the creation of an inclusive organisational culture, values, plans, and HR policies that are rooted in and informed by a deep commitment to the values of Girls Not Brides and to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
• Contribute to broad organisational leadership and strategic development, as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
• Advise and inform the CEO, Board and SLT colleagues on strategic issues relating to Human Resources, People management and organisational culture.
• Responsible for planning and monitoring the directorate’s budget.

Talent Acquisition

• Lead the development and implementation of Girls Not Brides’ people management and acquisition strategies to deliver on the vision.
• Oversee the development of strategies to identify talent; establish and oversee equitable and inclusive recruitment and hiring processes for all employees.
• Oversee the development of a comprehensive onboarding and staff orientation strategy.
• Oversee offboarding of staff, including exit interviews; analyse data to surface potential cultural issues or other staff concerns; make recommendations to the SLT for continuous improvements.

Staff Well-Being

• Lead on the development and implementation of a staff well-being policy and oversee the effective use of processes for day-to-day provision across the organisation.
• Oversee development and implementation of programmes, initiatives, and ideas to enhance and maintain staff well-being across the organisation.
• To provide leadership, direction and co-ordination for the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and staff support services, including occupational health.

Organisational Culture

• Oversee the review and implementation of organisational core values that guide the organisation’s policies and procedures.
• Oversee the implementation of policies and programmes that ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the organisations.
