The Fundraising Officer will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all fundraising activities and events. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to maximise donations and enhance donor relationships, in line with the Central London Samaritans' fundraising strategy. Responsibilities include engaging with individual donors, businesses, and community partners to secure financial support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Head of Branch Operations and Branch Director: Identify specific programs and funding priorities and organise targeted fundraising campaigns and events.
- Plan and Coordinate Fundraising Events and Campaigns: Oversee the planning and coordination of fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
- Track and Process Pledges: Monitor, track, and process pledges made at events, ensuring records are regularly updated.
- Manage Online Donations: Oversee online donation activities, maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring relevant departments and donors are informed.
- Identify Funding Opportunities: Seek local and national funding opportunities and contribute to the development of the organisation's fundraising strategy.
- Manage Fundraising Income: Maintain reports, track donations, handle donor correspondence, and evaluate the success of fundraising activities.
- Identify Partnership Opportunities: Look for partnership opportunities for joint fundraising campaigns to expand the donor base.

Hours of work:
The basic hours are 21 hours per week spread over Three working days. Within these hours there may be need to work some evenings and weekend days, so flexibility is essential. The core responsibilities should be carried out during weekdays. The amount of out of hours work will be agreed on an ongoing basis.
Time off in lieu will be allowed in agreement with the Head of Branch Operations and in line with the staff handbook and the European Working Time Directive.
Limitations:
The post holder will be required to work within the rules and regulations of Samaritans and accept the authority of the Director and the Chair of the branch’s Board of Trustees, who have discretion to delegate authority to the post holder and to withdraw it.

What you'll be doing:
The Director of Fundraising is a senior, strategic leadership role responsible for driving significant and sustainable growth in income for MQ, with a target of achieving £10 million annual turnover over the next five years.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the postholder will set and deliver an ambitious, data-led fundraising strategy across philanthropy, trusts and foundations, partnerships and other income streams. They will personally steward high-value relationships while building a high-performing, commercially minded fundraising function capable of supporting MQ’s long-term mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy & Income Growth
- Develop and deliver MQ’s overall fundraising and income generation strategy, aligned to organisational priorities
- Set clear income targets and KPIs across all fundraising streams
- Personally lead and secure six- and seven-figure gifts, grants and contracts
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with major donors, funders and partners
- Ensure excellent stewardship, reporting and donor experience across all income streams
Pipeline, Performance & Data Oversight
- Provide strategic oversight of the fundraising pipeline, ensuring a healthy balance of prospecting, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
- Use data, insight and CRM reporting to track performance, forecast income and manage risk
- Identify income concentration risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Drive continuous improvement in fundraising processes, systems and ways of working
Financial Management & Reporting
- Own the Fundraising budget, including income forecasting, expenditure control and cost-of-fundraising oversight
- Work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate income phasing, reporting and financial planning
- Produce regular reports for the CEO, Executive Team and Board on income performance, pipeline health and risks
- Ensure all funding is managed in line with grant conditions, donor expectations and regulatory requirements
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide strategic leadership and line management to the team
- Build, develop and retain a high-performing, motivated fundraising team
- Foster a collaborative, ambitious and accountable fundraising culture
- Support succession planning and talent development within the Fundraising function
External Profile, Partnerships & Thought Leadership
- Represent MQ at high-level events, conferences and networking opportunities

Person Specification:

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team on a fixed-term 14 month contract (maternity cover).
The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the management and delivery of our challenge events, special events and community fundraising streams, but the post-holder would also be expected to regularly support activities across our corporate partnerships, individual giving and Family Fundraising streams of fundraising too.
You will play a key role in developing these income streams, engaging our supporters to motivate them to fundraise for Lia’s Wings and creating initiatives that introduce new people to our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Management
- To manage our Challenge, Community and Special Event fundraising streams to achieve set targets. This will include management of challenge events such as our flagship event, Ride for Lia, as well as London Landmarks and the Royal Parks Half Marathon.
- To manage our annual Air Ambulance Mingle and develop existing plans for a new Christmas Carol Concert
Corporate and Community Partnerships
- To assume account management of our smaller corporate and community partnerships (who are primarily engaged with us through event fundraising)
- To support the Director of Fundraising in the delivery of our larger corporate and community partnerships.
Supporter Engagement
- To effectively steward fundraisers to ensure an excellent supporter experience (resulting in year-on-year participation), including appropriate thanking and recognition, reporting and feedback on outcomes of events.
- To build strong relationships with existing and new stakeholders, including event committees and our Board of Trustees.
Essential Experience and Skills
- A minimum of three years proven experience in a fundraising role, preferably in a challenge, community or special events fundraising role.
- Demonstrable ability to build relationships and effectively steward and support fundraisers to exceed their targets.
- Experience in writing and developing stewardship plans and in creating engaging fundraising collateral to support donors and supporters of all levels.
- Demonstrable experience in developing and managing fundraising evens from design to completion, including logistical planning, budgeting, forecasting, stewardship and evaluation.
- Experience working with fundraising committees and/or Trustee Groups.
Essential Skills:

For 50 years, Kidney Care UK has been at the forefront of supporting people with kidney disease. From our early days when we campaigned to introduce donor cards in the UK, we have worked hard to support and represent the interests of everyone affected by this lifelong condition. We’ve been making quite a splash recently – our ‘Cost of Staying Alive Report’ made the front cover of The Guardian last year, and the follow up ‘Left Out in the Cold’ report was recently featured on Sky News and in The Evening Standard. Our ‘Priced Out of Existence’ campaign was shown on the BBC 6 o’clock and 10 o’clock News and referenced by media across the UK. Our #BloodyAmazingKidneys campaign has reached more than 6 million people and 294,000 of those have taken our digital kidney health checker.
We’re building partnerships with leading companies across the UK, raising the profile of kidney disease and working with them to make sure that their customer service teams understand the needs of kidney patients throughout the country, working with them to make sure that kidney patients are top priority for their vulnerable customer teams. We’re working with global pharmaceutical companies developing world class patient information and advice. And we want to identify more companies in different sectors who are passionate about supporting people with kidney disease, which is why we are expanding our Corporate Partnerships team.
The charity is set to build on this success and aims to continue this growth, so that we can reach more kidney patients and their families, providing critical support at a time when it is needed now more than ever.
About the role
The Corporate Partnerships Officer will play a key role in this growth, managing and securing new corporate partnerships with support from the Corporate Partnerships Manager. Our corporate partnership income has grown from zero in 2020 to c£2.3 million in 2025. It is a very exciting time to be joining the charity and our Fundraising team.
Primarily, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of corporate partnerships, growing strong relationships, delivering partnership activities, and proactively securing new corporate partnerships, including charity of the year relationships. You'll further support the Corporate Partnership Manager and Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications as needed with key activities within larger partnerships, developing a well rounded understanding of how Kidney Care UK works in partnership.
You will also work closely with the Events, Marketing & Communications teams to promote and support all opportunities to drive corporate income growth ensuring strong collaboration.
Key duties will include;
- Managing relationships with key contacts,
- Delivering partnership activities such as renal unit visits or training presentations to key staff,
- Delivering informative annual reports,
- Proactively secure and onboard new partnerships within your target area.
You will do this by stewarding the significant number of existing relationships and partnerships we already hold and maximising any opportunities that exist. Alongside this, you'll be working with the Corporate Partnership Manager to manage a personal goal of generating new partnerships through proactive engagement to and through our supporters, beneficiaries, networks, and contacts.
The right candidate will have a proven record of building strong and rewarding relationships, and confidence in managing and building these relationships autonomously. You will be a driven and enthusiastic fundraiser with experience of cultivating new relationships across a range of businesses and sectors and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.

The Fundraising & Marketing Team at LGBT Foundation is a small yet collaborative group of professionals. They are dedicated to advancing the visibility and impact of the UK’s leading health and wellbeing charity. In this role as a Partnerships & Philanthropy Advisor, corporate partnerships (attraction, engagement, and retention) will be a priority, ensuring members see the value in our offer.
You will also work with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing to shape four individual giving campaigns a year and two legacy awareness campaigns a year. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to keep fundraising information on webpages and social channels active, ensuring regular promotion of charity challenges and shaping digital mobilisation efforts which will build the charity’s supporter base, attracting more new donors.
You will support regular reporting on performance towards financial targets, working closely with colleagues to reconcile income, ensure Salesforce records and reports are up-to-date and that integrations support automated data flows.

To enable Operation Smile’s global surgical activities, OSUK’s Partnerships Team works to maximise high-potential income channels such as corporate partnerships, major donors, community fundraisers and trusts and foundations.
We have created an exciting new position in our team for an ambitious and confident relationship fundraiser. Working as part of the Partnership Team and line managing one Partnerships Officer, the Partnerships Manager position will secure critical income from new and existing corporate partners through compelling pitches and excellent stewardship.
The position will build on existing partner relationships with high-profile businesses like Superdrug, the Perfume Shop and Johnson & Johnson, aiming to grow their contributions, as well as making approaches to new prospects in relevant sectors, working closely with the Director of Partnerships.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Corporate Partnerships Development
- Ensure achievement of annual income target for corporate partnerships
- Take primary responsibility for managing the current pool of medium and large corporate partnerships, including global partners (working with Operation Smile Inc), to ensure their growth and longevity – strategic input into the growth of each partner will be essential
- Develop and implement plans for partner activity to maximise all income channels, including corporate philanthropy, employee engagement, cause-related marketing and more
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of new corporate fundraising prospects, creating propositions/proposals and making approaches, working with the Director of Partnerships
- Enhance our employee engagement and community fundraising offer with simple, easy-to-do fundraising activities, linked to key moments in the calendar

- Lead on the development and management of any corporate partner cultivation events
Additional Responsibilities
- Line manage one Partnerships Officer, supporting them to manage inbound community fundraising requests and existing relationships, as well as smaller corporate partners

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Fundraising CRM Manager to lead the development and management of our fundraising CRM and donor engagement systems. The Public Fundraising Manager will lead the individual giving, in-memory, legacies, challenge events and community fundraising activities, building on strong foundations that are already in place across these areas. About the role
The Senior Legacy Manager will lead the development and delivery of London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s legacy programme, ensuring legacy giving is embedded across fundraising and marketing activity and is front of mind across the organisation.
This role is responsible for managing our legacy marketing programme, working closely with the marketing team to deliver compelling, sensitive and effective activity. The postholder will also oversee our outsourced legacy administration partner, ensuring legacy gifts are processed efficiently, compliantly and in line with best practice, through regular performance monitoring and review.
Working across the Fundraising and Marketing Directorate, the Senior Legacy Manager will champion legacies as a vital form of support, collaborating closely with all teams in the directorate. This will include working with the major donor team to identify and develop high-value legacy opportunities and supporting the community engagement team to integrate in-memory and legacy messaging into the community talks programme and engagement activity within the community.
The role also plays a key part in connecting our legacy and in-memory programmes, working with the community engagement team and the Deputy Director to develop a joined up in-memory strategy that ensures a coherent and compassionate supporter experience.
